DEC 14: JOHNB’S RACING TIPS AND CHAT

Racing_Betfred

THE winning streak came to an end with a narrow miss yesterday as JohnB’s nap and NB double finished second at Cheltenham.

It’s still been a fantastic week of profit and JohnB says: “So far this month one third of my tips have finished second. It’s not good but means I am not doing a lot wrong and again it just comes down to that little bit of luck or little bit of better riding.”

Meanwhile, yesterday’s totescoop6 rolled over after Blaklion struck in leg five. Following Royal Bajan’s demolition job in leg three at 33-1 just four tickets remained going into the fifth, with Binge Drinker and Parish Business covered by two tickets each.

But a win for the favourite triggered a rollover of £207,503 in the win fund while the bonus pool has grown to £167,652.

Totepool spokesman Andrew Griffiths said: “It was surprising to see Scoop6 punters struggle on an afternoon littered with small fields but we’re sure they’ll be back for more next week when the pools could hit £500,000.”

Turnover on Saturday’s bet was strong with punters investing £362,704 into the pools. There were 131 winners of the place fund which returned £484.50.

What a few days from Dougie C!
There have been some big priced winners across the board all week..
Just goes to show how hard it is for boys that dont have a clue like me :)
Far more enjoyable to just follow the experts with small stakes and enjoy the ride when the goings good and when its not no big losses!
Horsees for me is just a fun sideline rather than a get rich scheme and I defo appreciate the experts on this thread sharing their knowledge!

  20. Kev 2 years ago

I also just back everything dougsie does but missed Fridays magic double :( had my works Xmas do. Onwards, he’s won me more than enough through the years. Pick tomorrow suits me cos I love the album dougsie :) and ruby Walsh a cracking jockey. glad to see rookie straight on too :) good luck tomorrow

  21. DougieC 2 years ago

Kendog..you are always there or there abouts. I took some stick when all I could pick was runners up.You have never stuck it to anyone on here.Im lucky Im retired have the time to do something I enjoy reading a bit of form etc and see genuine posts.Miss tickety, abbas.Know about raal and lostboy but hope that everyone as Hamish would say “KEEP THE HEID has XMAS no penguins or cleaning swanys window who gave me a lift especiallt raal when I needed it,not to forget MrF I can look forward to this year. The best to yours over ythe festive period

  22. Kev 2 years ago

I also missed your tip tonight dougsie as was at the panto haha but well done sir! Cracker! :) you are such a credit to the thread and tickety will be back when the flat turf starts again 😉 he hates the jumps and a/w

  23. DougieC 2 years ago

Double carpet you know me and those big cats but Elliot and Geraghty spanner in the works. Modest stakes too many, half of the field there for as you Irish would say Im here for the “Crack” and don’t forget ” Stewball was a Racehorse”

  24. Langerdan007 2 years ago

DC I Think grecian tiger could be interesting over hurdles. Hopefully Davy gets this one home!

  25. DougieC 2 years ago

langerdan007 good to see you on the thread, interesting?

  26. DougieC 2 years ago

langerdaan007 wifes in bed gives me time. Watched Wlidebeest but big field so might just do interest in rookies and Fort Smith in a combination

  27. Gus 2 years ago

    Nothing from me today guys.
Although Oscar Lateen popped up in my tracker.
Not sure why as hasn’t completed for a while and due to competitiveness of race think it is up against it. Although I see it’s been backed overnight so I might just have a very small interest on it.

    Beauboreen (NAP)

made chasing debut last time & although needing the run after a long break Beauboreen ran decent enough to suggest chasing will be fine & also jumped well
Unseated the rider late on but that wasnt a jumping mistake as Beauboreen was hampered by another horse

Beauboreen was a decent hurdler & this move to chasing should bring out more improvement

This may raise a few eyebrows Napping a horse that was the 20/1 outsider of 8 runners but as i said before you have to look deeper into races which cant be done by picking up a paper

We have Big Water who won the race Beauboreen unseated in as favourite today & a 2/1 favourite
I couldnt back Big Water at any price the way he jumps & having Big Water as a 2/1 favourite here shows just how week this race is
This race is here for the taking & Beauboreen can step up to the plate & win this
Money is already coming for Beauboreen

Is there a rule 4 in john bs nap race? I managed to get 20s but have now notice the fields been reduced to 7. Also, how can you tell??

  37. johnb 2 years ago

    20p rule 4 so 20/1 would become 16/1

Was out kicking ball this morning so haven’t seen anything.
Grecian was poor enough. Anyone see it
I heard something for no more heroes but the source was unreliable, results like that make him more reliable though:)

Milik got an assist, we’d have been happier with a bit of greed!

  44. Big arj 2 years ago

Yeah good one on the Ajax game Johnb and beauboreen is say leave football alone and stick to horses but even then your not consistent enough. No point in hitting a 14/1 every now n then and then bangin on about how you knew it would win when majority of people aren’t gonna back them odds. Take another holiday mate n come back next year
