JOHNB had a 7-2 winner on Tuesday after his NB Hakka took the honours at Chelmsford.

In total it was five points staked on the day and 4.5 returned so our man is now 2.5pts down for August.

It was also the day double carpet put up an 11-4 winner after revealing he’d be away from the site for a bit. We wish him well and look forward to his return.

Trained by Ruth Carr who is the grand daughter of David Chapman. Today Ruth had a 2nd in the David Chapman memorial with Lexington Place. Tomorrow Cosmic Chatter is running in the Chaplin Club handicap. Chaplin club was a horse who had 27 wins in the 80s and 90s. Won a then record of 9 handicaps in a season twice. This horse was trained by David Chapman. Ruth will want a win. Especially as she had a 2nd today.

Mr.F or anyone else just looking for some good ante post for the season combining some doubles or trebles

    So far i have chosen:

    Chelsea 2.75O utright – 15/05/2016
    Sheffield United 5.50 Outright – 07/05/2016
    Rangers 1.40 Scottish Championship – 07/05/2016
    Each Way
    2 bets @ £5.00
    Stake £10.00
    Estimated Return:£124.95

    Anyone got any suggestions

    • maccathered 2 years ago

@sambuca i don’t want to butt in on your bet but chelsea are way to short to win the league this season they have not strengthened enough for me to be classed as title winners again you could see that v arsenal, they are very short on striking options and this will be their downfall this season, arsenal will be chmps this season all the sign are there for them and look a better bet @ 5/1 than chelsea.

Luca Cumani has a fine record at Pontefract down the years and has won with three of the four horses he has sent up from Newmarket this season so take his Penhill (3.40) very seriously – the four-year-old was highly enough thought of to start favourite for the Old Newton Cup at Haydock and ran well for fourth place.

    Hope so.

Can someone confirm something. Every tip Johnb posts is 1 point
One point for me is 50quid
But I’m not prepared to stake that on every bet, surely neither is john using the same stake on a double as he is his NAP

  83. Told u 2 years ago

    Jamie:
If 1 point for u is 50 quid and ur not prepared to stake that on every bet, well 1 point is not 50 quid then. Change ur stake

  84. upswing 2 years ago

yes he is .. its 1 point on the double unless he advises otherwise. the same as his nap.
for 50£ for 1 point/percent you must have at least 5,000 in your betting bank. preferably 10,000 or more.

  85. jevan 2 years ago

Alan 350 of my hard earned …soz guys

Aw caroll this trainer never has 1 winner ..has them in bunches

  86. Dariusz 2 years ago

Jamie, I suggest to take 1,5% (up to 2%) of your bankroll as 1 point, updated at the start of each month (so you’ll play with bigger stakes each month and maximize the use of your capital). I looked at the statistics, made some calculations and this stake (1,5%) looks really well with JohnB.

With 1,5%, you can go as low as -66 points, which I believe JohnB will never even come close to.
With 1,5%, considering an average profit of 20 points in February-May 2015, you can get 30% of profit a month. In June it was a massive 84% of profit.

With 2% of the bankroll, the average monthly profit could be around 40% (112% in June!), but you’re safe to go only as low as -50 points, which isn’t that impossible (but I haven’t seen a loss bigger than 20 points with JohnB’s tips). So I’d stick with 1,5%.

As your wealth increases (no doubt it will), you could start using a flat stake every month like 50 quid and withdraw any monthly profit.
So really it’s up to you how much you are willing to risk and what staking plan you will use.

Play it safe, play it slowly, play it daily, and you’ll be a rich man in a blink of an eye. Remember that even 10% of profit IN A MONTH is 10 times more than even the best companies have IN A YEAR.

Find a bookmaker with good odds, use a “deposit bonus” (cash in 200, get 200 for free) and you’re good to go.

  87. JonnyUTD 2 years ago

For the last couple months I’ve been mainly doing the racing, and following Johns tips. I’ve also done my own, as my family own a few racehorses so its a family thing. However, its now coming up to the football season, so ill put my attention to that. I currently use Paddy Power and Bet 365 for the racing, but find I cant always do the bets I wanna do. So the new season starts this weekend, and its time to get back into the bets. Already been doing some solid research, but will read everyones views on here before any bets being placed, as I hope to hit the ground running with a nice profit for the 4 weeks coming.

To get things started, which is the best bookie to use to do the following:
    – Large stakes without being restricted all the time
    – Great odds and promotions
    – Fast payouts

All will be completed on the football bets, I tend to keep rolling any winnings until I hit a 10x larger balance, this usually takes 8 bets at 3/1 odds with a mixture of stakes.

Any help would be appreciated. I like the look of Chelsea, Monaco, Hibs this saturday as a treble. In fact, I’ve written down games for the next couple weeks, but for my strategy to work, I need to use the best available bookie who won’t limit me. So suggestions please :)

  88. johnb 2 years ago

Very poor performance by She’s Invincible who is bred to be far better than that,
Interesting to see her next run

    30p rule 4 means it’s a very small 0.33 point profit today

Level stakes long term even with the double will give a profit
It may not seem like good staking but it does work

My live soccer tip to double with JohnB’s nap/nb:

AC Milan vs Tottenham – both teams to score @ 4/9. Now it’s 0:1 in 16′, so you’re basically betting for Milan to score.

Should boost Ainslie’s price nicely if your bookmaker doesn’t give you 2/1.
