I NEEDED a winner and got it with the only football bet I put up last night – although I also landed an 8-1 winner on Masters twoballs.
My Super Single was a double on Villarreal to win and Shakhtar not to lose in Braga at 6-5 and Jordan's only bet was a winner too. Sam Johnson scored for Djurgarden in just six minutes to bring up a winner at 6-4.
I made a good start to the Masters with a mythical twoball fourfold – Oosthuizen to bt Reed, Rose to bt Berger, Day to bt Kuchar and first-round leader Speith to bt Casey.

It's that time of week when I've got to concentrate on Saturday's Daily Record column but I've had a little time to pick out a couple of bets for Friday.
As I said last night I really fancy Hertha Berlin at home to Hannover as they bid to bounce back from last week's 5-0 beating by Borussia Monchengladbach. They have won their last three home games, scoring exactly two goals, while Hannover have lost 11 in a row since the returning after the winter break – four of the last five by more than one goal.
Hannover are doomed to the drop and are 10 points adrift at the foot while third-placed Hertha are in a five-way fight for a Champions League place and can't afford to drop anything here.
Just to win goes on my treble with over 2.5 goals at Zwolle v Roda. I mentioned that last night and good to see it's being tipped by Greg too.
Complete the treble with Lyon to score 2+ at Montpellier. Lyon have climbed to third after hitting 14 goals in five games and star striker Alexander Lacazette is back in top form with six in four games. He is
Montpellier have lost nine times at home and while I believe Lyon will win for the treble I'm going for goals and last season they won 5-1 here.

It was a good job I stuck with my scorer in Sweden and didn’t go with any of my Europa League thoughts as they only winner would have been the BTTS in the all Spanish tie.
Already posted a bet for tonight yesterday, and that’s BTTS in the Irish First Divisions early top of the table clash which features two teams that went down from the Premier Division last season. Despite being relegated, Limerick’s end of season form last season was good, and its showing in the First Division. 5 games played, 5 wins, and 25 goals scored. Drogheda haven’t been as prolific, but still sit second and are unbeaten at home, scoring 2 or more in every game. Bookies are obviously favouring Limerick here, but I think BTTS offers good value. Despite rolling teams over they only have one clean sheet this season, and that’s against Athlone who anchor the league. In Limericks two other games away from home they have concede twice. A cup game against second from bottoms Cobh Ramblers, and a league tie against 4th placed Waterford. BTTS has landed in 4 of the last 5 between these two and will hopefully continue today. Bookies such as BoyleSports were offering 4/5 just on Drogheda to score which I thought was a great price, but snapped up 22/25 @ Marathon Bet as I thought it would shorten by tomorrow, which it already has with 20/23 @ BoyleSports and 1.87 @ 888Sport. Just dropped in my bet 1 in mrfixits £10 – £100 challenge, i’ll share it on here because it looks a corker. Estonia @ 5pm FC Flora Tallinn over 2.5tmg’s @ 17/40. Not a great price but looks a solid 42% bank builder considering the last time they faced off, Tallin opened up a can of woopass on them and beat them 10-1.
The markets on this match are threadbare (win/draw/win + over and under 2.5 tmg’s ). That might change 10 mins before kickoff. Pull off the stats on bet365, it looks like a license to print free money.

Tipped to be one of the games of the season – either side could go top of the A-league with a win today. With both teams already secured a final series playoff place they have nothing to lose really and perhaps much to gain with an automatic place for the series and a shot at winning the plate. City blew their opportunity at the weekend against a resolute Perth Glory and just couldn’t keep up with the tally. Great incentive this time round for City though -winning would give them an opportunity of a home final and they’ve been immense at the AAMI, losing just twice and notching 35 goals in the process. Outside of the bottom two though, they’ve conceded the most number of goals and do have a leaky defence – even more so now with Zullo out with a foot injury.
Adelaide have been in very good away form coming into this game though having not lost on the road in 2016 with 4 clean sheets to their name in their last 4 away games – in fact, only conceding 4 goals in 9 away games – fantastic record. It will be interesting to see how their superb defending of recent will match up to City’s open attacking.
The H2H stats boast 2 wins from 2 to City but overall show in favour of Adelaide with traditionally lots of goals – 6 of the last 7 have seen both teams to score and a minimum of 3 goals, 5 of those have seen 4 or more. Like a lot of the Aussie ties this season – this screams goals but there’s not much in the way of value – with the bookies recognising this. The WDW market is too risky so I’m going with…

Although a goal fest has been tipped (and is likely) as many have pointed out the odds reflect that. Instead you might like to consider a late goal inplay. It’s something I’ve noticed in recent weeks happens a lot in A league games. Never looked at the stats until now – but here they are for these 2 teams in their recent matches.
Goal after 60 mins: 5/5 for Melbourne and 3/5 for Adelaide
Goal after 70 mins: 5/5 for Melbourne and 3/5 for Adelaide

Lots of football today as there usually is on a Friday but in terms of outcomes I found it really difficult to pick out 3 teams to back. So much so that I have taken draw no bet on two of them. Liefering are fairly solid at home and should win today to bottom side FAC Wein. In the French second tier I am taking Paris to build on their terrific 4:2 win at Red Star by beating Bourg at home who have only won 3 times in 15 away trips. Because the visitors have hit a bit of a purple patch I am taking draw no bet. Also taking that on Heidenheim to beat Braunschweig. SUMMARY
Both teams have hit upon decent form, and both are scoring goals. Lask netting 8 in last 4 games with Kapfenberg also netting 8 in 4 games. The visitors away form is a touch patchy, and Kapfenberg on home soil have been shocking, in complete contrast to their away form, but are showing signs of improvement on the home front, which lent me towards backing them to win at a handsome 3/1! Evening gents. One for the overnight crowd if you fancy it. The MLS has been very unpredictable so far in the early stages this season but I fancy the chances of a goalscorer tonight. CJ Sapong led the Union last season with 9 goals. Not a brilliant total considering the likes of Giovinco and Kamara doubling that, but Philadelphia don’t really have the same caliber of players. Sapong already has two goals this season which both came in a good 3-0 win at home to the New England Revolution. Orlando beat the current champs at home on Monday morning in a 4-1 win, but Portland had just as many chances as Orlando but couldn’t convert. Its always tougher on the road in the MLS as you’re travelling bigger distances. Nothing to really go by here but the 3-0 win against the Revs would lead me to believe they can score at home tonight, and Sapong looks decent value.

seems a bit big to me. They have Kaka back and he should still be fresh enough to have an impact.
