Apr 7: Johnb’s Racing Tips & Chat

MRF_RacingTips_Racebets

IT’S been a bad start to the week for Johnb – but we cab forgive him that – but he’s hoping a Cheltenham eye-catcher can change that on Thursday.

Johnb says: Romain De Senam was an unlucky loser at Cheltenham but the race didn’t take too much out of him as he was given a quiet ride.

“Romain De Senam was giving Diego Du Charmil 3lb that day and was beaten a head but that doesn’t tell the full story. He was eased down at the hurdles, more so three out and two out where he lost so much ground.

“Approaching three out he was alongside Voix Du Reve, the Mullins & Walsh horse, but by being eased he was two lengths down after jumping. On the video you can’t see the horse at the second last but he must have been eased again as when he came back into shot turning for home he was about 5 lengths behind Voix Du Reve and a lot further behind the leaders.

“Even at the last hurdle Nick Schofield didn’t ask the horse and it was just a case of letting him pop over. The jockey finally started riding after the last and he flew home to nearly win,

“Another stride and he would have won. The Aintree race is 122 yards further and the slightly worse ground won’t be a problem.”

It’s very unlikely that Cause of Causes will get in, he needs at least five withdrawls tomorrow just to make the reserves, then he would need another four withdrawls before Saturday to get into the race

That’s the Grand National offer now on bet365 folks, EW returned as ££

All EW stakes returned after results are in win or lose, they do it every year. Great offer but they word it half stake back on EW bets so same thing

In all my months of following racing, I have realised there is no better tipster than the market, obviously you guys are a step beyond that tipping without that kind of information but I believe it to be the most.profitable form.of betting, therefore along with the O&R, Naps, Nbs and GooJs, I propose a Market Mover Special, yesterday I had two winners and 2 places along with a winning trixie which paid £280 from a total bet of £5 (bridge builder, golden wedding and suqoor).

A little early yet but I shall make selections in good time.

Reasoning from yesterday’s thread. I fancy Apple’s Jade being the filly (less weight) especially if the ground is soft. The juice will curb Ivanovich G and trying to work out the two lines of form is a pain. I concentrated on the Triumph Hurdle. Footpad may also be closer if Ruby does not sit at the back as previous rides. Fred Winter form would appear stronger given the times but juice in the ground just sways me.

Aintree 1:40 Sizing John 3/1 (No Douvan surely its time!)

DC and others who put it up very unlucky with Vicente in the 4:40 race at Aintree…….would be interesting to get JohnB’s views on this one. Looked like the likely winner approaching the last but then just got blocked off by the hanging horse and had absolutely nowhere to go. To punters who backed it this seems really unfair and you feel very hard done by, so why do stewards enquiries do nothing about this?

I have never when asked WHY have never not replied, hope you took boz1 selections today De niro cous wind it in.11/2 when posted keeps me in the game Arzal ..Rathlin might be worth a look along with Ma Da Fou Gl Mate enjoy your pint

Looking for a wee bit of value Bleu et Rouge 2.15 ,7/2 available without the first two(365) ,I would worry more about the Henderson horse than Limini GL.

duncanpoundcake- I kid you not, I have been looking at this race for an hour now and looked at the form lines with Altior/Buveur Dair to include winning times. Altior won the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle 2m 87y in 3m 46.10s whereas Limini won the Trull House Stud Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle 2m 179y in 3m 57.80s. Buveur Dair was not that far behind and jumps better than Limini. It comes down to the weight allowance on soft ground and so Limini should in theory win this. The reason I have looking at this race is because of Marracudja who in my view is priced up wrongly. Marracudja had Gwafa well beaten back in 6th place and carries 8lbs less than when ahead by 7.25 lentghs. Yet Gwafa is priced as short as 11s whereas Marracudja at a whopping 50/1. Marracudja is a solid jumper that propels over fences if you watch the running style and likes to make the running from what I have seen. Would be good to get anyone’s views. I just can’t see it finishing 2nd last. but perhaps does not have enough to trouble the top 2 in the betting. I’m willing to part with a few quid at 50/1 E/W.

Alex ,I’m not sure Ghost River 4.40 is a 50/1 shot either on his best form ,sometimes just go with your research and gut feeling GL.

Well after pacha running poorly, dunno why it was up with the pace, thought it would have followed the fav round, but to be fair best horse won. Annie power is wonderful to watch and cue card superb today.
I managed to get 3/4 on a 10p lucky 15 in the later races and for the life of me I dunno why I didn’t put in Monsinuer Jimmy,I took the 2cd instead.
    But 12/1 14/1 3/1 gave me 123.00 back for my 1.50.
Typical ain’t it when your big bets go down the wee ones have a knack of winning.
Good luck to you all tomorrow.

Good day today and tha ks for the tips, sadly let down by the unlucky Vicinte Du Noyer in two Canadians, would’ve been swimming in cash had hr came.in with Garde la Victorie, but still a profitable day, and thanks for Kayf.Grace at 14s!

One of my posted Canadians returned £6.10 per £1.10 staked (10p a line), we go again!
