IT was a super night for my Super Singles with winners at 11-4 and 6-4 thanks to Sergio Aguero to score first and Leeds.

As we know singles are a better way to profit if you can do them and my Bet of the Day also won thanks to PSV -1 as did my Super Single in yesterday's Daily Record – Aguero to score.

The Argentine to net was also Jordan's nap but it was a rare off night for Greg Browning while Desmond posted one winner out of three on his goals bets.

My double and treble were losers but Crewe netted in the 90th minute to give me a 5-1 both teams to score treble.

So once again the Super Singles total is in profit and the accumulators figure is better with room for improvement.

It's another busy night and I've posted previews of Hibs v Rangers and the Premier League games where I'm tipping over 2.5 goals at Easter Road and home wins for Liverpool, Man Utd and West Ham. I'm not overly keen on Premier League WDWs but that looks a solid treble paying 12-5 at GentingBet.

There are eight matches in Serie A including Juventus v Lazio and six in La Liga with all three title contenders in action. Real Madrid look the most likely winners at home to Villarreal in a contest that usually produces goals.

Atletico Madrid face a test at Athletic Bilbao while Barcelona will be trying to end a horror run of three defeats at Deportivo. Most of the Dutch games look good for goals and Dortmund head for Hertha Berlin in the German Cup.

So let's start with the Super Single and it's stats-based as was the Aguero tips last night. Juventus are on the brink of clinching another title and are unlikely to let up until they do.

Juve have been in brilliant form and were of course unlucky to exit the Champions League at the hands of Bayern Munich after extra time. They are easily backable on accumulators at around 1-2 but for the SS I'm on Juve to win to nil. They are always risky bets and can go down early but Juve haven't conceded a home goal since December 13 and have won their last eight home games to nil.

As I've said Juve are priced highly enough for a treble and I'm adding them to Liverpool and Dortmund. On the face of it Borussia look short at just over 1-2 away to Hertha Berlin but their hosts remain in the final Champions League place despite taking one point from three games and face a massive Bundesliga clash at home to Bayern on Saturday.

Dortmund rested players for the weekend win against Hamburg and with a CL spot sealed this is Thomas Tuchel's last chance of silverware after the Europa League exit at the hands of Liverpool. From what I've read Dortmund are full focused on this one and Hertha have lost form at the wrong time.

Borussia have lost one of their last four in Berlin and have netted 15 in their last six so an alternative bet is to score 2+ at 3-4 but for this line I'll take the straight away.

Complete the treble with Valencia at home to Sevilla. Back-to-back wins at Barcelona and home to Sevilla have restored confidence at Mestalla after the departure of Gary Neville. New boss Pako Ayestaran is going for three in a row at home to Eibar and his players should believe they can beat anyone after winning in the Nou Camp.

To the treble I'm adding West Ham and Man Utd – Real and Barca should win but are a little short – for a 1pt fivefold that gives the stake back with many bookies including GentingBet for one wrong.

Salzburg over 1.5 team goals @8/13 with Bet365.

Salzburg play at home tomorrow in the Austrian cup. The holders face an out of form Austria Vienna who are winless in 5 having failed to score in 4 of those games. Salzburgs last 20 homes has seen over 1.5 team goals hit on 17 occasions, including a 4-1 victory against today’s opponents in February. 1pt.

Nathan Ufton, great write ups by the way and absolutely spot on with the scoreline. Do us a favour and nab a point or three at Brighton later in the season and I will be forever indebted to you!

    • nathanufton 8 years ago

Cheers, yes, duly noted. The playoffs barring a miracle are going to be Sheff Wed v Brighton ( 1st leg ) and the other match will be Hull and Derby. 4th spot for Hull is theirs to lose having a game in hand – Brentford who can be stubborn at times, so Derby could catch them. We beat Hull 2 nil at the their ground to go top, then on the back of Hulls terrific form and the tightest defence in the league, with the bookies having us nailed down ousiders, I tipped Derby to cover a straight -1 h/c – I think that was a huge 4/1 price and it delivered with a 4 goal thriller. Derby do not fear Hull, so whether we get the 4th spot or not, over 2 legs I’m certain we’ll get the trip to Wembley. Brighton can get auto promotion but in 2 games time, they face a resurgent Derby who at the moment look terrific for another 3 points on Saturday against Sheff Wed – potentially Brightons opponents in the playoff. Sheff Wed had Ross Wallace sent off yesterday and that big hitter absent from their line-up is an extra reason to bet on Derby getting the points on Saturday…. Momentum. 4 straight wins now and 5 from 6 for the rams. Saturday will probably read 5 straight wins. Yes Derby were sloppy last night, someone needs to band Shackell and Keogh’s heads together so Saturdays game is all about tightening up the back 4. When we face off against Brighton, it is highly probable that the match will be a dry run for both teams on what will possibly be the Wembley final.
When Brighton beat us this time last year, Derby were in the middle of the biggest freefall in championship history. 1 win in 19 we finished that season on and anyone/everyone was beating us between January and May. Brighton are much improved on the side we beat twice over 2 legs in the 2013/2014 playoff semi. That I think was on the back of 2 league victories that season for the rams. Brighton came to the ipro early December and we were by no means the finished article over 5 months ago. It ended 2-2. Brighton will want a little payback on us and even though its 2 seasons back, some games need that bit of payback for the suffering fans. Brighton have been steadily creeping up the table consistently for 6 months and they’re there on merit. They’ve capitalised when all those around them have dropped points and have gained. Its hard to argue that their recent results have been top 3 standard.
Derby do have the wind on their backs now though, Bryson has been pivotal, Russell can’t stop scoring, Ince is pitching in with an odd goal here and there, as is Bryson and Martin. We still have a couple of midfielders and Christie that are obvious goal theats.
The Brighton/Derby game will see goals because both teams will push for the win – they know its the Wembley final part 1. Whoever comes out on top on that game will almost certainly have extra belief that the victor will probably repeat it come the end of May.
Both teams have enough to beat eachother, both teams riding high on current form, but if you strip back just 2 awful games from the last 2 times we faced eachother, the stats point to a Derby victory.
I’d like to see a hard fought game with no injuries. The game is possibly going to be all square come 90 minutes. Brightons results are throwing down the gauntlet to Derby and that is massive, but we’ve also managed to turn our form around since Derby shed their manager and returning injured players giving us that extra yard. Tough match to call. My heart says we’ll win at their ground – if it comes good, it’ll be like a pin-prick to the heart. Small but the potential to be massive. My Brain says another 1-1.

    • nathanufton 8 years ago

I forgot to mention aswell, Derby will know that IF we beat Brighton, it will stuff up their auto-promotion chance, but the payoff for a rams win will be avoiding Middlesbrough and Burnley. The repercussions of that one game will define the top 2 and define who is going in the playoffs. I’ve made no secret of the fact that Derby only fear 2 teams in this league. Burnley and Borough. Derby HAVE to beat Brighton – or even a point. Brighton HAVE to beat us to stand any chance of making auto-promotion.

    11:00AM – AFC Champions League

    Sydney v Urawa

Sydney had a disapointing A-League campaign but can now put all their efforts into the AFC Champions league. Widely regarded as the toughest group – they’ve done exceedingly well this campaign having won 3 of their 4 opening games. They’ve already qualified thanks to Evergrande’s poor performances so far and can finish top with a win here.

Urawa are in great form – having recently beaten Sendai to secure their 5th victory of the J-League campaign. I’ve watched Urawa a couple of times in recent weeks with B365 streams and they play high tempo football and get forward often enough. They’ll ensure qualification with a win here.

With Sydney fresh from their last A-league games and Urawa needing a win to ensure qualification I can see lots of goals and corners, I’m going for:

    Over 2.5 Goals @ 2.25
    Over 9.0 Corners @ 1.90

Both with B365, good luck today gents.

Congrats too mr fix on a lovely treble of winner…

Mine was a very sad tale.. Culd not get on ur aguero 1st score and leeds win or even derby win / trapani win for a massive 4-fold.. All because for some reason the bookies I use here didn’t accept any bets over 2.15..

Ended up picking teams around 1.6 like walsall and oxford ( we all know how that ended).

So, I need ur advise… What UK bookies accept pple from outside the uk ??

    Thanks mr f

    11:30AM – AFC Champions League

    Seoul v Buriram

Further to @flarber comments – Seoul smashed Buriram at their last meeting 6-0. The goals are flying in for Seoul and in particular Adriano. Buriram have yet to score a goal in the AFC Champions league so far, so I reckon any goals bets we’ll need to rely on Seoul. I don’t think this is a problem though – Seoul have averaged a goal in the first half and 2.5 goals in the second half – having scoured the goal markets I’m going for…

    Seoul +3.5 Team Total Goals @ 2.50
    Over 2.5 2nd half goals @ 2.75

FC Utrecht vs De Graafschap – FC Utrecht win & BTTS 15/8 **NAP**

De Graafschap are in the relegation dogfight but to their credit have been scoring quite regularly; they’ve netted in six sucessive games. It seems their problem is getting over the line to pick up points and this is why they find themselves one place above the automatic dropzone. FC Utrecht are doing their best to get into the Europa league and will know a win tonight could be important with their rivals for the spot being faced with away matches. They’ve performed well at home throughout the season, scoring well so given the respective situations of both teams the bet should have a decent chance of landing.

Videoton FC vs Ferencvarosi TC – over 2.5 MG’s 21/20 **NB**

Big game in the Hungarian league. Ferencvarosi TC’s last six have all gone over two goals seeing BTTS in five of them. Videoton are at home against the league leaders so with both capable of contributing to scoreline the overs bet is a good play.

    Afternoon gents

Disappointing night last night with two of the most backed sides on the coupon failing

Busy card tonight – heading to Hollland in search of gosls

    Zwolle v NEC KO 5.30pm

The home fans have certainly been entertained this season with 15 of their last 17 at home seeing over 2.5 goals! Theyvare in great shape at home having won 6 of their last 7 and with 8 of the last 9 meetings between these sides ending with over 2.5 goals we should see another high scoring game here with both sides contributing

Back over 2.5 match goals 8/11 (Bet365) (NAP)

    Over 3.5 match goals 2/1

    Liverpool v Everton
    Hibs v Rangers

Looks like there should be goals in the Palermo v Atlanta game to me. Palermo have conceded 10 goals in their last 3. Atlanta were involved in a 6 goal thriller against AS Roma last time out and their 3 games before that have also all seen over 2.5. H2H’s suggest it also with the last 4 all seeing over 2.5, Atlanta scoring 3 in each of the last 3 of those.
Over 2.5 goals 12/11 (betvictor) evens at most other places.
Atlanta over 1.5 team goals 13/8

    Afternoon gents,

    Lower league double for tonight:

    NANTWICH TOWN v MICKLEOVER:

Nantwich with a faint hope of a play-off spot have all too play for as do Mickleover who are in the fight at the arse-end of the NP.

Don’t be duped by Nantwich’s recent form – they have had a murderous run in and have held their own for the most part against he top sides Darlo, Workington, Salford, Ashton, ans Frickley. Goals expectd here.

    NORTWICH VICS v GLOSSOP:

3rd plays 4th and Vics are on fire looking for a 6th straight win. Glossop are no mugs but may find it didficult against a side who beat a very strong Spennymoor outfit 3-zip last time out.

Vics have seen Over 2.5 match goals in their last 5 games and no reason for that not to continue tonight.

    OVER 2.5 MGS DOUBLE – 1.09/1

  58. nb89 8 years ago

Anyone betting on the Rangers game tonight just too point out that the starting line up from Sunday only has one change with O’Halleron coming in for Shiels. I’m not really sure what kind of game to expect tonight but I think O’Halleron will cause a tired Hibs team problems with his pace.

    Recommended bets
    OHalleron anytime 5/2
O’Halleron and Rangers to win 5/1. Both Paddy Power.

I also suggest Rangers over 1.5 teams goals at about EVS. It’s the first time since about August that Rangers have been EVS or better to score 2. Hibs have been shipping goals recently.

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

nb89, as I said Rangers don’t have a big enough squad to make sweeping changes.
Not sure how much Sunday’s game will have taken out of them though which is why I’m on goals.

    • -wato- 8 years ago

Dom, just because a favourite or a strong favourite losses it does not make the game a fix. I have to say though backing teams to win in these far off leagues constantly is madness especially if they are letting you down time and time again. Yes stats and form can point to a certain result but it really doesn’t work it that simply and that goes for every league even the top leagues in Europe. Also at this stage of the season when the smaller teams will somehow raise their game for fear of relegation etc etc

    • -wato- 8 years ago

Didn’t realise it was a cup game too mate to be honest that makes it even more of a crazy decision as you won’t know whether they will have dropped one or two of their best players. Look at the FA Cup nowadays when teams even in the championship make 7,8,9 changes for an FA Cup 3rd Round tie this makes me avoid every cup game no matter what the league. May have a go at one towards this time of the season if I am sure both teams will be trying their utmost to win and even then would only be a goals related bet both teams to score for example. Any other stage of the season if I see a cup game listed I just scroll straight past it.

    • laskillful 8 years ago

      that wasn’t a cup game… its a league game

Basel should of been a cautious bet. They fielded a weakened side knowing 1 goal would be enough to beat lugano. Over 2.5tgs is the max i would of gone. Although -2 was a good bet.

  75. tomt 8 years ago

Dom, you are betting on totally unreliable competitions. I don’t know how many times you have had advice / feedback following your hard luck posts. For God’s sake – listen to the advice. Betting can’t be good for you as I have never read about a winner? You mentioned you gave up your job and have a young family yet you risk your money on Hungarian games and AFC Cup matches with no knowledge of team news? I could just mind my own business but you make it everyone’s business by posting ‘hard luck’ stories on here. They are not hard luck – they are ill judged bets. Just pick a couple of bets ( goals ) from the regulars and don’t bet WDW on dodgy leagues – easier than you think to win.

    • petet 8 years ago

@dom77 – I have to agree with Tom. Seriously, quality wins over quantity every time. Unless you have knowledge of obscure leagues (and cup games are always a minefield unless you know about team selections) stick with the tried and tested. The key is following someone like Jordan (for example) there will be ups and downs (but more ups than downs). It needs discipline (sticking to the staking) and if you lose one day, you wait until the next day (rather than look for another ‘obscure’ match to make it back on.

Over a month of following some of the trusted (at their points staked if applicable) you’ll not make a loss and that’s the way to make a profit.

People will help you here – but you need to listen to them and then not post hard luck stories of what you did (which went against their advice!).

Hope your luck turns soon – remember you cant judge success on a couple of days :)

    • dom77 8 years ago

This is great advice. Thank you.

    Night Owl :

SOL DE AMÉRICA VS. DEPORTIVO CAPIATÁ (22.00 KO)

Paraguay has been a great stomping ground for goals this year and without hopefully jinxing tonight’s game, we could be cued up for more of the same…

America sit atop Division Profesional after 15 games and entertain 7th placed Capiata – note this is a league where teams sit tightly and no massive gulf in class.

Goals are the way here and the home sides most recent games have featured: 3-3-2-6-2- 0-2-6-5-4-2-7-3.

Capiata’s related stats compare favourably: 8-3-2-10-4-2-4-2-6-6.

    Some figures!

With a good wind, we’ll see 22 players on the pitch for at least the majority of the game and I’ll be taking the following selections:

    OVER 3.5 MGS…6/5
    (3 Points)

    OVER 4.5 MGS…11/4
    (1.5 Points)

    AMERICA WIN & BTTS…11/5
    (1.5 Points)

    Good luck.

Evening gents. Ajax and Brugge get the job done and looks like I was one result out on the 6 fold which is a shame. Three points profit on the night though which I won’t complain about.

Dom. I’m sure I speak for most here mate. A few of us have given you advice to which you haven’t really taken. Its not just about backing teams that haven’t lost for 10 games or more. Whatever you’re doing its clearly not the right strategy. I’m doing more than ok this year and I am no tipster! Is it lucerne or luzern, I’ve not even had a drink tonight ?
@Sir Jordan and Mr f , well done boys.

Gem of a price if you ask me for tomorrow.

Vincent Janssen is hanging with some of the best in Europe this season with his goals record, and despite playing his first season for AZ, I will be surprised if somebody doesn’t attempt to purchase him in the summer. His tally is now 25 in 31 and 5 in his last two. Den Haag defeated AZ at home in the reverse fixture, so payback could be on the way via the young dutch forward.

    Vincent Janssen (Alkmaar) Anytime @ 6/5 @ 365 – 2.5 points

Kyle b, excellent winner mate fancied it as soon as I seen it.

Well done to a host of other winners too including the host himself ??

    • kyle b 8 years ago

Your the originator of them bets Wato, all thanks goes to you bud. Ill try a couple more of them beauties over the coming weeks. Cracking night for anyone on favourites across Europe and an even better night for Mr F who nailed almost every bet. Gonna probs experiment with a few things until the end of the season, staying well clear of the WDW Market, there is just absolute no value there at this time of year. Well done to all winners :)

Jordan and everyone else that has taken the time to reply. I appreciate your input and opinions.

The hungary bet was part of an accumulator. I really thought it would be safe. The reason i went for it is that i am impulsive and have a total lack of discipline.

The bad thing about losing all the time is that you lose confidence.
I was so close to sticking 10 points on juve tonight but i had a funny feeling they would draw a blank. Same with dortmund and athletico.
I have backed barca the last 2 games and been burnt so i stayed away tonight.

I am really bad at betting but i do seem to have below average luck as well. I keep falling into a trap of home ‘bankers’ v bus parkers.

Perhaps Mr F or someone can post a beginners guide to betting as i think i am missing some of the basics.

Once again thanks for help and advice.

I think its the mentality Dom. ‘Banker’ in betting does not exist. Try and get that into your head mate. I feel like I’m repeating myself when I talk to you a lot of the time, but back goals mate, or just get some discipline and pick one bet around EVS per day. If it loses, it loses, if it wins, you go on (THE NEXT DAY). Also, try to refrain from the sob stories. They do get quite tedious. Nobody wants to hear how bad somebody is doing. I’m sure one day you will educate yourself. I did and I’m sure many who have been on this site for a couple of years will agree.

    • warktheline 8 years ago

@Sir Jordan, let’s hope he takes note!

    • -wato- 8 years ago

Couldn’t agree more. If you have a review of all your bets for the last few weeks or months I am guessing they are all teams to win and sounds like maybe daily accys etc wish is a sure fire way to lose a lot more than you win. As Jordan says for a period of time don’t even look for a team to win just think “goals” try to identify games where you think a team should maybe win but back them just to score and goal. Over maybe better still try identifying a couple of games you think may well produce goals and back both teams to score or over 1.5 or 2.5 match goals. A goof line Greg always uses which I’m sure you must have seen is why back one team when you can have both trying for you. Finally backing goals as many do on here now will not guarantee winners that’s just impossible but I would say you will come a lot closer to backing winners which at the very least make it a bit more enjoyable as it really can’t be losing a high percentage of your bets.

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

dom77, I’m not going to criticise you because first and foremost betting has to be fun.
You don’t need a beginners guide – you need to back what you know and if you’re not confident leave it out.
You’d do worse than following Jordan and Greg – maybe even me sometimes.

two goals short in speculative 13 fold over 2.5 bet, the genoa v inter game! it was all action, end to end stuff but neither team could get the ball in the damn bet, until well into the last ten mins! the stats pointed to btts and thought inter had enough balls to win the game! A shade under 650/1! £2 down the pan!
