APR 17: JOHNB’S RACING TIPS AND CHAT

Racing_Betfred

JOHNB lost two points on Thursday so April is now seeing a 6.5 points profit.

He’s not throwing in the towel on Friday and here his early Bath selections.

Johnb’s Friday Tips

Bath 5.40
Explain 9-4 NB Skybet

7.15
Dancing Primo 7-1 NAP Skybet

Double
Explain & Dancing Primo 25-1 Skybet

Johnb says: “Just a word on my NB’s race. Vejovis has a chance to get placed and is overpriced with William Hill at 12-1 but only 5-1 with other bookies. However, Explain is a strong favourite.”

As usual put up your own tips and thoughts as a comment.

For you experts: how safe is Shantou Magic in 5:25 Southwell to add to Another sport acca?

I have never seen a horse priced this low Before.

Is it that safe that he will win unless he break a leg :)?

  36. busstop 2 years ago

daniel jump racing shantou magic has fallen in the past
run before last it burst a blood vessel had to be pulled up.
but if you look at form if it gets round it wins but would
you risk a stack of money at 1/5 ??

    gl

  37. Daniel 2 years ago

Busstop – the answear is No :)

Just very curious about such a short price –

If the thought was that we is supposed to win above all doubt I would have thought about placing him in my Daily Mixed sport “Just for Fun”-Treble (Normaly adds up around evens)

    • raaljaca 2 years ago

A losing 1/5 bet needs another 5 similar priced winners just to break even which in my opinion makes them zero value bets.

    Raaljaca, that is very True!

but the thought was to add in a treble as a 1/5 part of a treble.

Could be considered similar to many parts of fotball-trbeles like Team to Score/ Over 1,5 fotball-bets etc, which I know for sure you use quiote Well :)

Or would you never treat a Super-favourite Horse in the same way as a fotball goals part as a part of a double/treble?

Busstop no harm mate you need to give Deniro a break and let him do what he is doing if he wins great if he fails he has tried but by keep saying something every time he post is just adding fuel to the fire for others to add more crap comments to the the thread so can you let it go for a few days at lease for crying out loud.

  104. Yovan 2 years ago

Bus, I doubt it very much that anybody follows De Niro’s tips of late. You might get one or two, who will shout his odd winner, but guy become impossible to follow. Shame as he had some good tips, earlier.
He can do whatever he wants, within the forum rules and I think you should stop corecting his stats and commenting on him chasing winners (which he does btw), as it just leads to arguments.

  105. busstop 2 years ago

alanm if thats the type of tiping you want on the thread fair enough but not fair on people following

anyone with any knowledge of racing would say dont chase mr f himself said it the other day

When the naps r good itsa wonderful life but this week lifes been grim.

    • highseastim 2 years ago

As I said the other day Jim, anyone betting on flat turf racing at the moment needs their head examined, the bookies are coining it in!!

  116. Yovan 2 years ago

Denzel not being funny, but you’re bad luck for JB’s tips. Every time you go with “C’mon JB’s NAP” (it was NB btw), befor the race, it loses. You jinx them.

  117. NAGMAN 2 years ago

De Niro – I have a lot of respect for you and you are obviously good at picking winners but I think you may have a similar temperament to myself when on a bad run and I had to change the way I bet to get out of the habit as it killed my bankroll repeatedly.

What I mean is that when you hit a patch of bad form your bet frequency increases but more importantly the level of risk you take increases too. I notice a lot more tips on much bigger prices when you are on a bad run.

What I found suited my temperament and helped me start making profit was to do almost the opposite. I would reduce my bets to 1-2 per day max and stick to more favoured horses just to get some winners on the board. This meant I stayed positive but more importantly I got myself back on form. It’s a hell of a lot easier to pick them bigger prices when you are feeling confident in your decisions!

There will be some people who no doubt will say that you should never chnage the way you bet because of a run but we are all different and I believe you have to know yourself and play this game to your personality if you want to win long term

Sorry for the essay but hope you get my message through it!!

    Here here dc and dougie.
funny to see bun wesley west praising himself for picking an overwhelming favourite that won!
De niro can do what he likes. For people who say its unfair to his followers… its the same reply from me as when anyone else has a losing run (even the great johnb).
‘Followers’ shouldnt back blind. They should do their own research and look into the race for themselves.

Dougie / rookie why on earth are you bringing up something from two days ago, again? I was quite in my right to question people’s erratic tipping at the time and have since not mentioned it despite it continuing Your slandering my name around the thread from something that quite frankly should have been and gone.iv posted a tip up at odds of 5/4 when tipped and it’s one well by 6 lengths. I haven’t praised myself and the last time I checked. A win is a win.

    • boz 2 years ago

seems wrong busstop and others are not allowed to bring up genuine gripes about bad betting practices

but people are allowed to call them as above

should be same rule all round for me

now i will probably get stick for supporting busstop but thats how it goes

    Rookie
im actually going to back ESTIDHKAAR as i was told about 2 months ago that the HANNON yard are very bullish about his progress and told me to back him for the guineas which i did @ 25/1 (just a tenner ew) so in theory if thats the case then he should be winning tomorrow. So i will have a fiver on him @ 11/2 and if he does win then i basically have a free bet on him for the guineas and if hes a disaster then hopefully hes pulled from the guineas and i get a refund hence only losing a fiver.
Now did you get all that !!!

  163. double carpet 2 years ago

  166. WESLEY WEST 2 years ago

Bun, don’t rise to it. I would take a 5/4 winner any day. Sublime tipping sir

  167. dougiec 2 years ago

Peter Amoss here you are again back on this thread with tweedle dee and tweedle dum with you now blowing their trumpet.

  168. peter Amoss 2 years ago

Double carpet if you go back i was the first to comment about chasing losses, Did you really just write “im well grown up” I think that sums you up to be honest

  169. Alanm 2 years ago

  171. JP 2 years ago

Dougie i said i wouldnt bet at dundalk again, but ur tip was too tempting – awesome stuff! A score at 6-1 – great price! Thank you sir!

  172. peter Amoss 2 years ago

no ones doing that really raaljaca, Seriously some of you guys twist things so much. I even read one user get angry and say “stop correcting de niros points for the day”which is pretty dumb obviously if hes doing point system he has to be accurate

  173. Rookie 2 years ago

    Yes dc understood!! Interesting….

  174. Rookie 2 years ago

Ah i see dougie put it up too! Wish id have seen that before and id have put more on!

  175. WESLEY WEST 2 years ago

De Niro has started his point system to compete with john b. He’s now been exposed and is over 25 points down in 4 days. Massively backfired and I bet he wish he didn’t start it. I remember he was called out last week for constantly putting up horses against John’s NAP’s.

  176. dougiec 2 years ago

Rookie highlighted that Smullen gg last night, just worried trip was a bit short, but there you go GOOJ Rookie!!

  177. peter Amoss 2 years ago

dougiec i think not,You guys are blowing up over a few other users when they have done nothin wrong

  178. double carpet 2 years ago

    Peter amoss
i had no problem with your point when it was first raised but i have a problem when its still being raised 2 days later. My innitial problem was with the critisism shown by Wesley West when part of it said “your bookie must love you” and thats why i got annoyed but the reason im still annoyed is that we’re still talking about chasing 2 days later. Its all been said and i just want to move on and try get some winners. And i will leave it at that

  179. WESLEY WEST 2 years ago

Double Carpet, the bookies must love you was a bit of banter muck. You really that offended by it kidda

  180. peter Amoss 2 years ago

fair enough double carpet, i can understand your point. Im honestly not on here to cause rows, i think there are loads of users who put up great tips daily thats what matters the most i guess.

  181. Duncan Poundcake 2 years ago

For those that haven’t guessed yet…. Avidity 4.55 Ayr.

  182. Bun west 2 years ago

Double carpet, you, rookie and dougie are The only people ar*sed about it. Why do you think your above the rest of the thread dishing out what criticism is aloud and what’s not. At the end of the day, like Wesley said and it was pointed out last week. De Niro has been tipping in johns races everyday trying to compete. He’s started a points method and its backfired. He’s put himself on this pedestal competing with the great john b so why can’t others on the thread criticise him. Crazy.

    • Profile photo of Mr Fixit Author
      Mr Fixit 2 years ago

Bun West, let’s leave it – if you want to criticise Johnb that’s fine. Others are punters just like you who are trying to contribute.

  183. Rookie 2 years ago

I did throw a few out there dougie mainly for the dundlak regulars approval!?

I know its hard DC (or kidda -not sure which you prefer) but i just try to ignore them now. You know how young children need attention or they get bored…?

  184. double carpet 2 years ago

    Wesley west
fair enough but there has been too much critisism aimed at johnb and others in the past and its just not on and gets my blood boiling and yes thats the way i took your comment. So if i have taken it up wrong then i apologise but do you think De Niro took it as banter?

    Peter amoss
I have defended both boz and busstop in the past about footy comments on the thread and i will defend anyone i think deserves it thats just my nature.

    4.5/1

  187. WESLEY WEST 2 years ago

Double carpet, he may not have but de Niro if you’re reading this “it was just banter” as a wise Richard keys once said.

  188. Bun west 2 years ago

Wesley “you’ll see rednap hanging out the back of that any day of the week”

  189. Rookie 2 years ago

Actually i might just have to. No one thinks they are above anyone on here mr big man on the internet so there’s the first inaccuracy.
Like your good friend/alter ego/ego boost said de niro has been tipping in johnbs races. Why do you think you are above anyone to tell them what races they can tip on? Guess what?he can tip what the hell he likes!
he started a points method, correct. Well done you got something right. In YOUR opinion it has backfired. But im not sure it has. I think de niro started that to keep a better record of his performance. Only de niro can confirm or refute this. If this is the case then its working as he intended isnt it?

Has he really put HIMSELF om a pedestal or have people like you done that for him?

im done on the matter now.

  190. WESLEY WEST 2 years ago

Ha ha ha , a classic bun.

  191. Rookie 2 years ago

And to be fair De niro is not rising to any of this and i have to commend him for that. I certainly couldnt!

  192. peter Amoss 2 years ago

bubby gardiner, completely agree tbh. Was never my intention to get peoples backs up by expressing concern though, no worries double carpet, i agree i dont like it when people slate tipsters when they lose, thats never what i was doing. I lost on johnbs bets today i never pass blame to him, its only because i know a friend that chased losses so hard for 3 days straight he ended up losing his and his wifes 15 years savings n caused unimaginable grief to himself and us around him, i know thats a dramatic case n all, but anyway good luck for tommorow

  193. Rookie 2 years ago

DC do you do the super 6?

  194. Bun west 2 years ago

Amoss applying some real life logic to this situation which at the end of the day is what it’s all about. Gambling what you can afford and not chasing losses.

Ha ha ha but you couldn’t help yourself could you rookie

  195. Rookie 2 years ago

and your mine buddy. Ill be over to check what your on tomorrow. Footy bets getting harder lately

  199. peter Amoss 2 years ago

i agree bun West. I follow that everyday. Im 22 i usually stake 15/20 a day, if i lose every day every month i can stilll afford my rent and keepin the missus happy haha, i once chased losses quite a long time ago i remember lookin at my online transactions n thinkin oh sh*t. Lol

  200. De Niro 2 years ago

    Everybody WHOSE BITCHIN;

Just follow or don’t follow, STOP MAKING UP BOLLOCKS about worrying about others blindly following and stop bitching about numbers of tips and if they dont win then I go further minus on the points – which should help people decide to follow winning tipsters – MAYBE ALL TIPSTERS ON HERE SHOULD CARRY A TOTAL EACH MONTH ?!!!

Make your own mind up and do your own bets, get out your own arse and stop corrupting the thread,

My points are for me and will remain, and show if in profit or loosing so a good thing – even if loosing, though as per thread will start fresh each month

I can turn round 26 points loss in a a day and make 200 points a month regularly, the tide will turn IMHO soon.

For the village idiot that said my points as backfired – its only been 3 days what an utter gobshite – I have done this for 20 years and never had a loosing year, but you only have my word for that :-)

As to overbetting or over tipping – I AGREE – but there is method in my madness = I hope.

PLEASE PEOPLE JUST FOLLOW WHO THEY WANT, PICK THERE OWN AND STOP THE BICKERING

The long term regulars show their class & Raaljaca off the footie thread too,
BOZ AND Buss Stop are they related, in love or just the same guy posting under different names ?

Saturday will be big – very big – lots of tips from me and I hope lots of winners

But please everyone just follow or dont – but please dont bitch – just get on with your own business

Raaljaca,dc,jp,dougie miester, alanm, hamish, mr f,duncan, spread the love :-)

KTF as despite appearances things will turn and future is

    GLORIOUS !!!

De Niro, it’s the best advice – if you don’t like someone’s tips or the way they bet then don’t follow. It’s really that simple and I’m not sure why some are on your case.

  201. Kev 2 years ago

Dc I hope this doesn’t make u stop visiting the site. You are one of my pals here :( and one of the best tipsters on the site. Around September time last year you nailed a 3 or 4 timer at around 200/1 (I remember cos I was in Mexico and I won £400) since then you have consistently given great tips daily and always friendly and helpful. Don’t let these idiots get to you. I don’t care what they think of me. Deniro keep doing what u do pal :)

De Niro I follow the racing and football, golf and other sports thread and put tips on there but not on the racing thread as it’s a sport in don’t have time to follow but I do johnb tips daily, win or lose it don’t mind as he gives his expertise as do many others on here. I have backed your tips this year some have win some haven’t and I have also used other guys tips far too many to name but all the regulars. I thank you for the time, effort and research put into your bets and will continue to follow your tips no one should be put off from putting up tips I for one enjoy peoples opinions including yours de Niro and thank you for your input

Newmarket, Ripon, Beverley, Pontefract, York, Windsor, Redcar, Epsom all do exclusive flat racing on turf (grass), they shut down in winter.

Sandown, Kempton, Doncaster, Ayr, Fos Las, Musselburgh, Kempton do flat turf in summer and jumps in winter.

There’s so much great tipping talent on this thread when it all Comes together. Really hoping it will be the case going into tomorrow. Any effort other than beating the bookies is a waste of everyone’s time.

I don’t care how many tips are posted per user but I hope to see a John b nap&nb, dougie c, double carpet and de Niro reading across the card form, boz looking at flat racing, bus stop focusing like he does on jumps, raalijaca highlightjng well backed gambles and everyone beating the bookies. Anything else is just internet infighting.

Good luck to everyone tomorrow and let’s nail some winners.
