    Convey 7/4 – nap
    4.40 lingfield

Convey should show his worth in this , a lot of people think absolute blast may turn the tables with her allowance , but convey won coming back from a break ,he had a poor draw and had to be switched wide and delivered late on , good draw today and should be sharp

    Syphax 11/4 – nb

Not a huge flat season fan, but today’s racing is very good to say the least, and should provide quite a few pointers for the season. Big prize money on offer, so we shouldn’t find too many non triers.
Hard to fancy anything with great confidence, as majority of races are extremely competitive. Here are the 4 I like most
    2.55 Inaam 6/1 e/w
3.10 Lancelot Du Lac 9/2 NAP
    4.25 Codeshare 4/1
    4.40 Convey 7/4

I’ve gone with a few small stake multiples today to try my luck. Difficult day I feel, but great racing like I said.
    good luck all

Its the sand donkey finals day at lingfield where those unreliable nags that don’t run true during the year get together to celebrate ripping punters off.
If it’s a choice between watching all weather racing and extracting my own teeth with no anaesthetic, then it’s bye bye teeth.
Not a fan as you might guess, but good luck to those who have a bet.

Lol.. It’s a tough card granted, make a case for so many horses which is why I’ll be sticking with the tips on here.
It’s definitely worth a watch alongside the football results with a can of Duff on a day off but Elvis..No?

Yankee for me and couple of small singles be about the size of it.

Have a good Friday n GL with your bets gents. 👍

Does that mean Arrogate is a sand donkey?

          recoba 1 week ago

There’s plenty that aren’t donkeys. Good racing just tough in the betting…in my superb opinion. 😉

Arrogate hasn’t run in this country at lingfield or southwell to my knowledge.

We will see if arrogate cuts the mustard if he ever runs on turf at Ascot.

All weather racing is artificial and it says on the tin.
Our national football league has 6 teams with artificial surfaces and it makes for a poor spectacle.

All weather racing was brought in to supplement racing when meets were called off in the winter and that is where it should have stayed.
Recently there was 4 turf meetings on and 2 all weather. Why ?????
Its there to make bookies money, summer all weather ??, with endless all weather class 4-6 unreliable horses taking turns to win.

          • Profile photo of recoba
            recoba 1 week ago

Yeah I get that but a decent spectacle if nothing else id say.
Maybe its the fact your watching the ‘National league’ with they 6 teams? 😉
You must of seen good games at these grounds Elvis?

Anyway have a good Friday whatever you’re watching.

Sorry you meaning National league in Wales with artificial pitches? I was thinking English lower leagues.
TNS were not bad from few games I seen early in the season n in oor cup.

    Morning all,
I was disappointed by the runs of all my horses yesterday and I apologise for anyone who followed. What a day’s racing we have in front of us today! I have looked out number of selections (all of which I have backed).
    13.40 Lingfield – Holiday Magic 15/2 EW & Suzi’s Connoisseur 9/1 EW
I have followed both these horses for most of this AW season and they both look worthy of a small investment this afternoon. The form of their one two finish at Newcastle is some of the best on offer (0.50 points each way on both).
    14.10 Lingfield – Natural Scenery 11/2 EW
I can’t believe the price of Natural Scenery this morning after her two wins at Newcastle. This progressive horse previously broke the track record at Wolverhampton and she goes well at Lingfield. Hopefully she can at least make the frame (1 point each way).
    14.20 Newcastle – Art Collection 6/1 EW
This horse is a qualifier for one of my Newcastle systems that is showing a healthy profit. As a result I am happy to play 0.75 points each way).
    14.40 Lingfield – Muffri’Ha 6/4
I backed this horse on both her starts in the UAE where she ran really well and rewarded each way support twice. The form of her latest close third in a Group 1 is rock solid and before heading to the UAE she comfortably won a Listed race at Lingfield (7.5 points win @ 6/4).
    14.55 Newcastle – Kalk Bay 16/1 EW & Chaplin Bay 11/1 EW
Both these horses qualify for one of my systems and look worth of a small interest (0.50 points each way on both).
    15.10 Lingfield – Pretend 11/2 EW
Pretend has been an expensive horse for me this season (increased selection loser the last twice) but at his price this morning he looks more than worthy of a bet. He won this race last season and hopefully he can repeat the feat. The draw is a worry but he has the master of Lingfield on top to aid him (1.5 points each way @11/2).
    15.40 Lingfield – Sovereign Debt 6/1 (advised at 7/1) & Salateen 14/1
I put up Sovereign Debt yesterday saying:
The ever consistent Sovereign Debt looks primed to go close again on finals day tomorrow. He has finished runner up in this race the last two times but he clearly retains bags of talent. Already this year he has won a valuable local Group 2 race in Doha and last time out he finished a close third at Kempton in a Listed race (would have won with a clear run). He has moved to Ruth Carr from Dandy Nichols and she has her string in good for at present. 7/1 looks very generous and I will be playing 1.5 points each way.
This morning I am happy to play a further 1 point each way @ 6/1 as I have heard from a friend that connections are ‘confident’. The quirky but talented Salateen looks overpriced and is worth a 0.50 point each way saver.
    15.55 Newcastle – Syphax 3/1
With both his wins coming at York and Musselburgh this horse should be well suited to the track and Newcastle and he is worth a bet (1.5 points win).
    16.00 Bath – Muthmir 5/4
Muthmir will love this fast ground and he is greatly suited by conditions (the top weighted horse on is actually rated 1lb lower than him). This horse had a disappointing campaign last season but this is his easiest task for a long time (1.5 points win).
    16.10 Lingfield – Wick Powell 14/1 EW
At the prices I can’t resist a small each way play on Wick Powell who might be able to control thing from the front this afternoon (0.50 points each way).
    16.25 Newcastle – Lopes Dancer 11/2 EW
Based on his impressive Maiden win last time this horse qualifies for one of my systems, hopefully he can back that effort up today (0.75 points each way @ 11/2).
16.30 Bath – Oh This Is Us 3/1
I put up Oh This Is Us as an increased selection two starts back when he finished 5th in a decent Meydan Handicap. While I considered him for the Lincoln I couldn’t back him on ground that I thought would be too soft. Yet, he ran a fantastic race finishing second and I think that performance can be uprated. Today at Bath he will love the firm ground and running off a 2lb higher mark he rates as a solid bet (3 points win @ 3/1).
    17.30 Bath – Rosalee 9/1 EW
Last but not least Rosalee might be worth a small bet in the final race of the day. I backed this horse two starts back at Lingfield when she finished a close second and this previous C&D winner looks sure to go close today (0.75 points each way).
    Otherbets:
    1 point double – Muffri’Ha & Oh This Is US 9/1
Many thanks and GL to all

Aidan O’Brien’s view on Churchill, I agree with the way the horse looks and has come through the winter and I think he will shock a lot of people on here with how he looks

    CHURCHILL
    3 b c Galileo – Meow
Rated 122, he won five of his six starts as a juvenile including the National Stakes at the Curragh and the Dewhurst at Newmarket.
“He’s doing everything unbelievably well at the moment. From this coming weekend it’s three weeks to the 2000 Guineas, so the next two weeks will be key, but he’s doing unbelievable at the moment. He looks a different creature altogether. He’s big, he’s powerful, he has a good mind and he’s a great mover. He’s physically very big, but he’s not a big long yoke, he’s compact, strong and well made. Off the top of my head, I think he weighs around 540kg. I saw his mother when she was a two-year-old and she was a big powerful horse too, so that might be where he gets it from. He was never really tested last year, but I think what crowned him was the bump he got off Mehmas in the National Stakes, as that really seemed to wake him up. Up until then, he had been inclined to idle when in front, but that seemed to spark him up and he stretched right away from them late on. He learned from that. In terms of trip, I always thought he’d be fine at a mile and maybe up to a mile-and-a-quarter. I wouldn’t be sure about a mile-and-a-half for him, but his temperament will give him every chance if he’s ever asked to try it.”
