SO March is over and it was a real rollercoaster of a month. In the end I broke even on the Super Single and made a small profit on the Goals Single.
Both were double-digits down on a couple of occasions but I managed to claw it back by taking some risks but never over-staking.
The Goals Single yesterday was Elgin to score 2+ at 11-8 and I doubled my March profit to 3.73pts while the Super Single was Belgium -1 and it looks like Vincent Kompany's red card scuppered that as they held on to a 1-0 win.
It was a night of close calls with Falkirk one goal short of bringing up a Top Treble that included under 2.5 goals at Bradford and England not to lose.
The two March figures for the singles are not spectacular but avoiding any loss is important. Also it must be remembered that in each case on a given day I need a 100 per cent record on both singles. I often have a shortlist with several winners on it but picking that ONE selection is often down to luck.
It's a quiet Wednesday with Coventry facing Orient in League One and they look a decent bet to win at 15-8 with William Hill. Tony Mowbray's improved the Sky Blues and last weekend's win at on-form Peterborough was impressive and their only defeat in five was at home to away specialists Doncaster.
However, he's still managed just one win at the Ricoh and since October the club have clocked up just one victory in front of their own fans and that's a slight concern.
Orient have won two, lost two and draw one of their last five so remain inconsistent which was why they're in the drop zone but just one point from safety.
Marcus Tudgay is a major doubt with a hamstring problem while Reda Johnson is also out with a muscle tear but is edging towards a return and Mowbray wants him fully fit before he will be considered.
Striker Simeon Jackson is set to miss out after coming on as a second-half substitute in Canada's 3-0 win over Puerto Rico on Tuesday.
Crucially the Londoners will be without Jobi McAnuff and Ryan Hedges who are on international duty and their absence could swing it Coventry's way.
Carpi face Bologna in Serie B and there are loads of lower-league Italian clubs plus cup matches in countries such as Hungary, Poland and Finland so if anyone watches these teams let's hear the thoughts on those games.
The game at Coventry and Carpi are the only ones I've looked at closely and while I believe Coventry will win I'm pretty sure they won't lose so the Super Single is Coventry draw no bet at 21-20 with William Hill.
It's first v second in Serie B with Carpi leading their visitors by nine points. A draw would suit both sides with the top two being promoted but stats suggest it will go under 2.5 goals. I was tempted to go with that as the goals single but it pays a best 11-20 at Betway.

WATP, not looked at the weekend – there are actually more fixtures on Friday and that’s my focus at the moment.
Didn’t want to say anything until the funds were safe and secure in my bank account but I had a £25 double at the weekend on Benteke to score a header anytime @ 7/1 and Hentelaar to score a header anytime @ 11/2. The double was down because despite Benete scoring a header Huntelaar didn’t. It was actually Sneijder who scored and it wasn’t even with a header. Anyway the bookie paid out as a winning bet and I withdrew my balance of £1300. No idea why this was paid but I’m no complaining. Worked out well as I’m off to Canada tomorrow for a 3 week holiday with the family so the extra spending money will come in handy. I’ll be logging onto the website as much as possible. Oh and by the way the losing (winning) bet is not an April fools joke lol. Someone up there must be looking out for me.

Chris, you’ve done well there although some bookies paid out on Sneijder and Huntelaar. Official arbiter initially gave it to Sneijder but correctly changed to Huntelaar. Whether it hit his head I’m not sure. Be aware of one thing though – if they decide a mistake has been made they can still without warning take the money out of your bank account and I know of instances where this has happened. mr f correct me if im wrong, but im led to bleev once in your bank account they cant touch it,they need your permission to take it out,
eg, if say your wages were paid into my account, your bank cant automatically retrieve them, ive heard numerous cases where ppl have had funds placed in other accounts and cant get it back,

no bookmaker or anyone else come to that matter can take anything out of your bank account unless you autherise it yourself,even withdrawing from a bookmaker once the withdrawel request has been recieved and made the bookmaker cannot reverse it.
maccathered, it’s been done and I know of several people it’s happened too. If recent rules have changed this then that’s good news. One bookie told me taking money wrongly won was the same as “stealing” and they’d do everything to claim it back.

I had an instance where the bookie paid out on a losing bet in the Colombia game….withdrew my winnings and still the bet is still showing as a win
craigboy, mistakes will always be made – it’s whether they spot them or not. I know someone whose biggest ever win came on a bet that was a loser and it was paid. I know someone else who won £1500 on a shop bet placed by debit card that was wrongly paid and he even told them so but they weren’t having it. A couple of weeks later the £1500 disappeared from his account without warning and after he complained they give him £500 compo. He was told if it had been a cash bet in the shop they wouldn’t have been able to get back unless he volunteered it.

I went to the Hartlepool game on Saturday and the first goal was very clearly touched in on the line by Jorgan Hugill, my FGS tip, but the goal has been credited to Brad Walker, who headed the ball towards goal.

FriedGold, you could try them and give them the link. The problem is most bookies will pay out on what’s reported by PA even if PA are wrong. In some cases they’ll pay out on both – it’s certainly worth an appeal.

Santiago Wanderers where fantastic in the Apertura earlier on this season and in their total 32 games this term they have won 18, drawn 4 and lost 10, its a decent record. However, they have not won in 5 games and have lost 4 of the last 8. They are better at home as most sides are and have won 10 of 16. They can score but they tend to concede, 53 times they’ve netted but conceded 42. 27 of the goals scored came at home and 18 they gave away in 16 games. They do have a decent clean sheet record having kept 12 and 7 at home, but most of them came earlier in the season. They have only failed to score in 3 home games this term and will hope to extend that record tonight. Something i found a little interesting is that two thirds of their goals come in the 2nd half. They have a full squad available practically, Only Marco Medel is out as he has been for the last few games. Perhaps a problem Santiago have had is that top scorer Roberto Gutierrez was sold to Catolica earlier this season and his 13 goals have been hard to replicate, Although midfielder Jorge Luna has taken some responsibility and netted 12.
Palestine are a very good side in Chile, some of you may know that they are competing in the Copa Liberadores, which is the South American equivalent to Europe’s Champions League. They also haven’t won in 5, but have managed to draw on 4 occasion, in those games they have all ended with both sides scoring. They have won 3, drawn 1 and lost 2 of their last 6 away games, scoring in 5 and conceding in 5. After the first few opening sentences it now seems strange of me to say that they rarely draw. Infact they have only drawn 5 of 32 games this term (4 of them being in their last 4 matches) They have won 10 and lost 11. They are a better side away from home and of the 10 games they have won, 9 of them game away! They have a similar scoring/conceding record as tonights opponents, they’ve hit the net 58 times and conceded 40. Not so good on the clean sheets having only managed the 7, 4 of which came away, they have scored in 12 of 15 away games. They will be looking to bounce back tonight having lost the Chile Cup final just this weekend past, they fell 3-2 despite being favourites. One thing that really took my interest was that they have like Wanderers, a player on 13 goals and one on 12… but the shocker is Leonardo Valencia (13) is a defender! The man on 12 is Rendo Ramos, and being a little more conventional, he is a striker.
H2H has seen goals, in 5 of the last 6 both teams have scored, santiago have scored in all 6 and o2.5 has happened on 3 occasions. Palestino have won only the twice and wanderers twice… the other 2 draws.
Im looking at BTTS at 1.91 with WilliamHill in this one, i think Palestino will score and wanderers have a great scoring record H2H, plus they are the home side and have netted 13/16 home games. o2.5 goals was another option but despite palestino managing it in 8 of their last 11, Santiago have only done so in 3 of the last 12. BTTS is the safer option in my eyes and this happened in 5 of the last 6 H2H including the last 2 back in the christmas period.

Captain unlucky mate it did look a decent shout at good odds but red cards really do kill most bets unfortunately. Professor I’ve just seen your write up just now, I was looking for corner stats when noticed the gls stats and Palestino won 6-1 away and 3-1 at home just before xmas backed the btts/overs up and Palestino had over 10 corners a couple of times in last 4 games suggest could be a few corners.
