IT was a busy midweek of football and we had three £10 bets to give away over the course of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

There were only 11 winning tips with some real beauties among them.

I went for Bury at 9-4 to beat Scunthorpe on Tuesday. But on Wednesday Inverness at 21-10 just missed out against Hibs.

On Monday Malcolm Caithness and John Bryan picked Newcastle at 7-4 and Craig MacKenzie took Demba Ba at 11-10 to score.

But the best effort came from Jordan Dorward who took a surprise draw at Liverpool v Blackburn at 9-2.

Micky Dawson was spot on with a draw at Preston v Carlisle at 5-2 and Donald Priest Snr must have been delighted at flagging up Plymouth at 15-4 after they fought back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at Bristol Rovers.

Several people targeted big wins for Man Utd against Wigan with David Leitch taking -2 at
5-4 and Johnny going for over 3.5 goals at Man Utd v Wigan at 11-10.

Gary Fagan predicted a draw at Stoke v Aston Villa at 5-2 while Tom Carrie had Alloa at 1-1 to beat Elgin.

A clever call came from Keith Steere who was on Spurs -2 in the corners market at 13-10 against Norwich. The away side won that one 10-3.

All the bets on Wednesday were on the Old Firm encounter and strangely no one picked a winner with Celtic edging it 1-0.

The winners of the three £10 bets will be picked at random from all correct tips received that paid over evens.
