The race for European football in the Eredivisie heats up as Twente and Feyenoord square off at De Grolsch Veste . Both teams have ambitions of continental football this season and should serve up what promises to be a thrilling encounter.
Twente ended a run of six matches without a win when they saw off Vitesse in their last Eredivisie outing. Goals from Queensy Menig and Thijs Van Leeuwen gave them a vital 2-0 victory away from home.
Ron Jan's men are still targeting a continental finish this season but their challenge appears to have come off the rails lately. They sit seventh on the standings eight points from Feyenoord, who occupy the final European place.
Having ended their poor run last time out, Twente will be hoping to build on that win with a run of positive results. However, goals have been a problem for the hosts lately having failed to score in four of their last five matches.
Feyenoord travel to De Grolsch Veste off the back of a 4-3 defeat at Heenreveen in the Dutch Cup. They led for much of the game but succumbed to a late flurry from the hosts after Steven Berghuis was shown a red card.
Dick Advocaat's men are hanging on to the final European place with Groningen and Twente breathing down their necks. Despite the defeat to Heenrenveen, their league form has been quite decent having won their last two matches, including a 3-1 victory over PSV.

Despite their poor away form, the bookies still consider Feyenoord as the favourites with SBK offering 24/23 for an away win. A win for Twente is valued at 13/5 with bet365, while Vbet has placed a draw at odds of 17/6.
With both teams not playing particularly well at the moment, a draw might be a good bet on Sunday.

Feyenoord have claimed 26 wins while Twente have been victorious just 12 times from 54 previous meetings. There has been 16 stalemates in this fixture, including a 1-1 draw in the reverse meeting back in September.
Players to watch
Brazilian forward Danilo has been the standout player for Twente this season with 11 goals in 22 matches. The striker could be a good bet to find the net with Skybet offering 7/5 in the anytime goalscorer market.
Steven Berghuis will be the one to watch for Feyenoord having scored 12 goals in the Eredivisie this season. Unibet has the striker at 13/10 to score at anytime on Sunday.

With both teams often struggling in attack in recent weeks, goals might not be a viable market on Sunday. Under 2.5 goals could be worth a punt at 21/17 with SBK.
The clean sheet market is also worth considering, given the goalscoring problems of both teams. Twente are priced at 9/2 with Skybet to keep a clean sheet while betfair is offering 23/10 on Feyenoord not to concede.
