Southampton vs Manchester United

, KO: 14:00 Nov 29, 2020, St Mary's Stadium
Manchester United

MANCHESTER United will be looking to continue their mini-revival when they meet Southampton at St Mary's on Sunday afternoon.

The clouds were circling above Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's head earlier this month but a trio of victories have helped ease some of the pressure that has been building on the United boss' shoulders.

The Red Devils showed signs of recovery with a well-deserved 3-1 at Everton, on an afternoon where both of my recommended bets landed, however, United required a retaken penalty to record an unconvincing win over West Brom last weekend.

Solskjaer's side made it three wins on the spin as they beat Istanbul Basaksehir 4-1 in midweek, but the Old Trafford outfit can expect a tougher test when they travel to in-form Southampton on Sunday.

The Saints suffered a bit of a stuttering start to the current campaign, however, they now find themselves in the midst of an eye-catching seven-game unbeaten run.

Ralph Hasenhuttl's men were mighty impressive when making light work of Newcastle, in a game where both of my Bet Builders banked, but the Saints were denied victory on Monday night as Pedro Neto earned Wolves a 1-1 draw.

Outright Betting

Southampton have won three on the bounce St Mary's but the Saints are big outsiders on Sunday at 3/1 with Bet 365, while the draw is an unfancied 13/5 with UniBet.

Manchester United have won 10 of their last 11 away matches and another Red Devils road success can be backed at even-money with Betfred.

Betting Angles

My recommended Bet Builder landed during Southampton's recent 2-0 home win over Everton and I like the look of siding with a similar betting angle at St Mary's on Sunday afternoon.

The 4/5  (Bet 365) combination that I like the look of when making use of the Bet 365 Bet Builder feature is over one match goal, each team to collect at least one card and over five match corners.

Seven of the Saints opening nine league fixtures have produced two or more goals and Hasenhuttl's charges have chalked up two or more strikes in each of their last five top-flight tussles on home turf.

What's more, the Red Devils have triumphed in each of their last seven Premier League road trips and they have notched up two or more strikes in all seven of those successes.

With that in mind, coupled with the fact United's last three away games have produced over 2.5 goals, I'm more than happy to add over one match goal to the above-mentioned Bet Builder.

With a closely-fought encounter anticipated at St Mary's I'll also add both teams to collect over zero cards to the recommended Bet Builder, and it's worth noting that this combination has clicked in each of Man United's three Premier League away matches this term.

I'll also recommend another Bet Builder by combining both teams to score and both teams to take over one corner, a 5/6 shot with Bet 365.

Both teams have obliged in each of the last four meetings but a repeat here looks slightly short at quotes of 4/6, so I will add in over one corner for each team to boost up the price to 5/6 with Bet 365.
