HIBS travel to Ibrox to face Rangers on Sunday…and they will probably never get a better chance of grabbing a famous win.
While Rangers' midweek Europa League game in the Czech Republic was overshadowed by the murky events in the stands, it masked yet another poor display from Steven Gerrard's side.
They look to be a shadow of the team who swept all before them last season, particularly defensively, where they were absolutely rock solid.
Gerrard and critics can point to the league table and the argument is certainly if they are top while playing poorly, then once they click into gear they will win the league at a canter.
But there's been precious few signs of that and if ever we are going to get a Scottish Premiership title challenge outside the Old Firm, then surely it will be led by Hibs and Hearts this season.
Hibs do have a reputation for being at flaky at best and bottle merchants at worst, with particular scrutiny placed on the big game record of manager Jack Ross.
But if they are at all serious about mounting a challenge, then they have to go and make a marker in front of 50,000 Rangers fans, with away fans once again disgracefully locked out of Old Firm home grounds.
How the bookies view it
Rangers are huge 4/11 favourites with Unibet. There might be a few punters who invest on an away win at 8/1 with bet365 and the draw is 43/10 with SBK.
Recent head to heads
Rangers won three out of the four league meetings last season all by just one goal. The other game was drawn. Here is their 2-1 home win in April below.
Players to watch
Alfredo Morelos was only a sub in midweek and should be fresh and raring to go for this. He's 6/5 with Unibet to score anytime on Sunday.
Martin Boyle has arguably been Player of the Season so far in Scotland. He's already on 11 goals in 14 games for Hibs including six in his last seven games too. He's on the penalties of which Hibs have had plenty of this season too. The 5/1 with Paddy Power for him to score anytime is too good to turn down.
Anything else catch the eye?
As long as Hibs don't freeze – and that's far from impossible – they have everything in their locker to give a misfiring and tired Rangers a very hard game indeed. The 23/10 with William Hill for a double chance of Hibs or the draw looks a good shout.
Both teams like a corner too and Hibs have only once failed to get over 3.5 corners this season in the league. They should manage this at Ibrox at 5/6 with bet365.
