PAUL PETRIE of McBookie.com failed to build on his big lead over Owen Scott but there was no damage done for him.
William Hill's Owen has still to land a treble this season and will be getting with Christmas approaching fast. Paul has won £153.20 so far to £10 stakes. Here's what the duo are on this weekend.
Owen writes: Once again I hit the bar with my treble but I'm not for giving up. This week the Scottish Junior Cup takes centre stage I'm going to pick pout three matches which are too tight to call. If I get this one up that will see me overhaul Paul in one swoop.
My first draw in is the tie of the round – Irvine Meadow v Auchinleck. This will be a great match to watch but I can see both sides cancelling each other out so it's a draw at 5-2 for me.
In the East Kelty take on Bo'ness and in any other round this would take top billing but with the Ayrshire clash stealing the headlines this one has almost gone unnoticed. Kelty have been flying this season but Bo'ness have been keeping their best performances for the cups so once again I reckon this will end all square and I'm on the draw at 14-5.
Finally I've looked up and down the fixture list to find another match that will end all square and I reckon the Glenrothes v Hermes tie will be tight and again I'm on a draw at 14-5.

Paul writes: First up I am going for Thorniewood to beat Broughty at 11-8. I always like backing the West Region teams at home against the North or East and this looks like one of those games. Broughty are a decent team on their day but those don’t come that often.
Next I am taking a chance on Blantyre to beat Lochee Utd at 21-10. Lochee have struggled this season and have already lost a few cup games against lower-league opposition and I don’t think they will fancy this one little bit.
Finally, I am taking a punt on Edinburgh to get a draw against Bonnyrigg at 15-4 – I just hope I don’t regret taking them to win. Edinburgh could easily be in the top division next season and confidence is high in the camp so they will be difficult to beat.
Other teams I think could pull off a shock are Kilwinning at Beith, Lesmahagow to beat Jeanfield and sadly for Mr Fixit, West Calder to get something from their home game against struggling Clydebank.
