Racing tips: Plenty of chase experience will be the Big Difference at Hereford

Queenlet secure profit for us on Monday after winning at 7/4, tipped up at 11/4. She was keen early in the race, which was a concern, but she found plenty for pressure to win nicely.

The other selection of the day, Unforgetable Move, saw some late money arrive, getting backed into around 9/2 but was simply shocking. A horse with that kind of pedigree to run like that on four runs in a row is simply baffling. Pedigrees aren't everything, but you expect a lot more when they are bred to be very good. She clearly isn't going to follow in her parent's footsteps and I won't be touching her again with my money.

Hereford 1:00

I can see why people will be backing Dazzling Glory having shown to be progressive over fences and racing under the Skelton stable is always going to attract punters, but off 12st I don't think she is bulletproof and is in fact worth taking on.

For me, at odds of around 4/6 you have be taking her on with BIG DIFFERENCE who ran a very eye-catching race at Market Rasen. Based on that run, especially the final furlong, you have to imagine there is plenty of improvement to come over a longer trip like today. He absolutely flew home after jumping the last fence, and the form isn't too bad either. The winner, One True King is a good yardstick considering he won a couple of races last year and ran in some competitive class 3's. The runner-up, Dead Right is a useful horse on his day as well and has some good pieces of form from a couple of years ago like when he beat Before Midnight, who is now rated in the high 140s.

Dazzling Glory is still lightly raced over fences but doesn't get the claim of Tom Dogrell like she has done the last few times, so should find this quite hard. Taste The Fear would be of interest but the jumping let him down last time and his gas tank emptied fairly quickly over 2m 7f after travelling well, so that is a concern. Personally, I think Big Difference is the safest option and should win.

Huntingdon 2:02

This could be a dodgy race to bet in as Kingston Sunflower will blow this race wide apart with her keen going front-running style. There is a strong possibility she doesn't see another rival in this and makes all, but with that said I think the race could be set up nicely for a hurdles debutante, BASHERS REFLECTION.

Ben Case's hurdle newcomer showed ability in his two bumpers runs from last season, and enough to suggest he has a career over this code. He was quirky to say the least from his runs, but I think with the pace likely to be a frantic one, it could allow Bashers Reflection to settle, which will be perfect for him on debut over hurdles.

His technique over hurdles is a total unknown, but I'm willing to take a chance on him being trained very well as you'd expect and ready to rock'n'roll on his first start of the season. This race doesn't look particularly strong so there is a strong case that Ben Case's horse will be too good for them if jumping round accurately.
