IN a new feature on the site I've teamed up with Coral who are my Bookie of the Month for March.

Every month I'll be featuring a new bookie and bringing you special offers from them. There'll also be the chance to win some free bets with the Bookie of the Month just for signing up.

This month I'll be bringing you specials from Coral including the chance to win one of two £50 free bets on top of their £50 sign-up offer if you open an account at Coral this month.

That's right, exclusive to MrFixitsTips we've a special prize for two lucky member who sign up and deposits at Coral before March 31, 2013.

All you need to do is click this link; Coral. Then leave your username in the comments section below. Remember this is for new customers only and you must have deposited funds to qualify. Those who take part will enter a prize draw with the winners getting another £50 credited to their account.

If you've never used or visited Coral before I'd encourage you to take a look at their site. Generally, they're one of the most comprehensive sportsbooks on the Internet, backed up by almost 90 years of bookmaking history. In particular I like the fact they have matches arranged in online coupons for football betting which can make placing accas much easier than some other sites.

They also offer odds on the increasingly popular Teams to Score Two or More market for a lot of games so I often find myself checking out the prices there too.

The current sign up offer is a £50 free bet which is available to everyone so if you're looking for somewhere new to try or fancy getting your hands on a free bet then you can help to support us here at MrFixitsTips by opening a new account at Coral.

Watch out for some more exclusive prizes from Coral around the Cheltenham Festival. These will only be available via email so if you've not already subscribed do so here to make sure you don't miss out.

You get a free £50 anyway when you sign up to coral, they add it onto your bet, so say you put £50 on watford, they match it so it’s now £100 on watford, you get your £50 stake back plus all winnings minus their £50.

Milesey, I suppose the best bet is to take all the offers going if you can keep track of multiple accounts which I’m rubbish at to be honest. I always try to have the same passwords and user names but then someone might say you need a couple of letters and numbers or all the Bankies combinations are taken up and so I put in details I forget two days later. Must have emailed Paddy Power about 10 times saying I’ve forgot my details.

    • Milesey 11 years ago

I’ve done them all, got all bonuses, played them like i had to, withdrawn the money, waited till it shows in my bank then i have cancelled my account, i only have a betfair and bet365 account now, some like pinnacle, bwin, bodog, i didn’t like anyway, i still have a tote but rarely use it.

Are we allowed to also air our grievances with them for existing members

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Arnie, what do you mean by “air our grievances”?

    • Milesey 11 years ago

He means ” CORAL your shocking on your goals goals coupons, how about some better odds on there, best i can find is an 8/13, i am absolutely outraged by this when you gonna pull your fingers out and give us punters some value ” I THANK YOU !

      Milesey

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Milesey, punters should always take the price whatever the market. Sometimes they will be best price and other times they want. Coral quite often do bonuses on both teams on score and I’ve jumped in then.

    • admin 11 years ago

Arnie, We’re not against you sharing your experiences with any bookie on the site. We’ll discuss with Mr Fixit the best way to allow people to do that. Perhaps create a new area to do so.

The only problem with doing it here is that it’s more than likely we’ll get more people complaining about any given bookie than praising. People are more likely to speak out if they have a grievance than if they’re happy with the service they’re getting. That might present a skewed view of what’s on offer.

Coral have been kind enough to provide us with some free bets and will be giving us more for Cheltenham coming up so we’d rather it didn’t turn into a have a pop at Coral thread. Leave this one with us.

    • Milesey 11 years ago

They funding my cheltenham competition then ? or is that going to be from Mr Fixits deep pockets ? ;) ;)

      Milesey

    • admin 11 years ago

Haha, As far as we know Mr Fixit doesn’t even have any pockets.

      Now, off-shore bank accounts…

I do the long list for they are the best on the high street on that coupon, but on the goals goals they are the worst, i know 3 coral managers in this area, and they have said they purely focus on the long list and have taken their eye off the ball on the goals goals, and have lost alot of custome on that coupon to Ladbrokes who do offer 4/5 on quite a few games.

    Milesey

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Milesey, my bank is more on the shore (Clydebank) than off shore. From what I see btts prices in general have been cut and now it’s up to firms to decide if they want to lead the market on it or not. One thing I hate about Ladbrokes, and I’ve told them this, is that in shops you can’t do perms on their goals rush coupon. To perm you have to write out the bet on a blank slip which is nonsense. Hills don’t accept perms on their main weekend coupon but do on their champions list which again is daft.

Mr F & Milesy,,whats your thoughts on Charl Coatzee @ the Tshwane Open ?? i managed to get him E/W 21.00

    • Milesey 11 years ago

Not one i’ve been following, did have selections for this event but never did them, i followed the honda classic instead, so no idea on this one, i’ll have a peak and see how things are going.

      Milesey

      —————————————————–

What will it take to win the Tshwane Open?
The quick and easy answer would be heaven knows? And maybe I should have just left it at that but I’ve had a go.

It’s quite possible that I’m seeing something that isn’t actually there but I have read one report describing the course as ‘open and more links-style than parkland’ and the images I’ve seen of the course create that impression too. So maybe look at those with a good record on Links courses?

The weather looks like being very hot and sunny, with little wind but with the threat of thunderstorms and as it’s a long track, although negated someone by being at altitude, if we do get rain that will softened the course and hand the initiative to the big-hitters.

      Is there an identikit winner?
Scott Jamieson won the first event of the year, the weather-affected 54 -hole Nelson Mandela Championship back in January, but the next four events in South Africa have all gone the way of South Africans.

      In-Play Tactics
Looking at the hole averages form the two Big Easy events, holes 12, 13 and 14 are tricky and the last two holes aren’t easy either, so bear that in mind if trading in-running, particularly in round four.

And if you are betting in-running, don’t forget to keep up to date with the live scoring via the Sunshine Tour’s website. It’s been miles ahead of the one on the European Tour site so far this year.

      Market Leaders
One week after being out- battled on the run-in at the Africa Open, whilst most of us had our attention on the WGC Accenture Match Play, Jaco Van Zyl won the Dimension Data on the Sunshine Tour and as a result, he’s your favourite here.

He still hasn’t won on the European Tour and going back-to back won’t be easy so for me, he’s a tad short, despite the fact he’s in sparkling form.

Garth Mulroy and Thomas Aiken via for second-favouritism but again, if there’s value there I can’t see it. If I did have to back one at a short price, 4th best, Darren Fichardt, winner of the Africa Open, would make more appeal but I’ve cast my small net a little further out…

      Selections
I read one witty tweet last night that read “Just been down the field for the Tshwane Open & put a line through everyone! Can’t see anyone winning it.” And I could see where they were coming from.

I could have easily done the same but there’s no fun in that is there, so after much deliberation, I’ve managed to root-out three from the get-go.

First up, and by some distance my strongest selection, is Centurion resident, Jean Hugo. The big-hitting South African has won 15 times in total during his career and although he hasn’t been playing brilliantly of late, his top-ten last week, when he finished top of the putting stats, caught the eye. As he lives local, I’m assuming he knows the venue well, so if he putts like he did last week and if he can use his length to his advantage, he could get involved. My only other two are much more speculative…

Espen Kofstad hasn’t exactly set the world alight since finishing top of last year’s Challenge Tour Money List but there’s not much downside at 250.0, and my final pick, Simon Wakefield, is an even riskier proposition.

If I’m right about the course being a bit linksy then Wakefield might take to it. He once traded in single figures in the Open Championship and has always been seen at his best on links style courses.

      Tshwane Open Pre-Event Selections:
      Jean Hugo @ 150.0
      Espen Kofstad @ 250.0
      Simon Wakefield @ 380.0

    • Milesey 11 years ago

      http://espn.go.com/golf/leaderboard?tour=euro

3 shots clear of the field a few just starting who could overtake him by the end of today, it’s upto you on this one, take the price and hope he don’t get overtaken at the top of the leaderboard, or wait in the hope he will for the better odds if you still think he will win the tournament.

      Milesey

    • Milesey 11 years ago

I’ve just taken an e/w punt on SIMON WAKEFIELD @ 100, shame i didn’t get on the 380 at the beginning of the first day.

Mr Fixit would be good to get list of any bookies doing any special offers for Cheltenham festival if possible .

    • Milesey 11 years ago

You don’t want to get any bets on yet though John, fields still haven’t been decided yet, most horses are still down for every race till trainers/owners decide what entry they are going to take, or even run their horse at cheltenham.

John, we can do that, it’s not a problem.

Mr F – CORAL site has been having major problems today and new punters are unable to register a card to take payment CODE 1013 – whatever that means??

I was on hold waiting for help desk for 23 minutes!!

The only positive thing was I was going to put my £50 free bet on Watford – everything happens for a reason! But I would like to use the account??

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Muzza, that’s unfortunate for Coral but unfortunately everyone has technical problems from time to time so hopefully it’s something they’ve been able to resolve.

  16. MUZZA 11 years ago

    Still not working Mr F…….

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Muzza, is it our link that’s the problem or is it Coral site in general?

    cheers,

    • admin 11 years ago

      Hi shadders,

You’d need to check Coral’s own site for the terms and conditions for their £50 sign-up bonus.

We’ve two additional £50 free bets to give away to two people who sign up using our link this month. There’ll be a prize draw to decide who wins the free bets and we’ll let the winners know by email as well as announcing it here.

  23. shadders 11 years ago

I just noticed the word ‘settlement’ in the terms & conditions. I got confused by what I read from Mileseys example of its use.

    Thanks.
