I ALWAYS like the Super Single to come up but two winning trebles was a decent consolation – and Greg's terrific nap was again well followed.
PSG -2 was a goal short but my Top Treble came in at 3-1 thanks to Brighton, Middlesbrough and Aberdeen and the European treble at 5-2 thanks to Benfica to score 2+, Real Madrid -1 and Sevilla. They provided an 11-point profit.
My goals bet flopped as did the long shots but in my Champions League preview I tipped Memphis Depay to score first at 7-1 and at any time at 11-4.
The Champions League results went pretty much as expected bar the two involving the Manchester clubs and it's hard to believe Juventus were as big as 11-2 at the Etihad.
It's take two in the Champions League tonight and I've posted a separate preview. Again the favourites are all fairly short but the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Barcelona, Valencia, Bayern and Bayer not winning. The fivefold pays 5-1 at BetVictor but I'm not keen on fivefolds so for a Top Treble I'm on Barca, Valencia and Bayer at just under 3-1.
Valencia have a superb home record with just two defeats in 30 matches – to Barcelona and Atletico Madrid – and were impressive as they defeated Monaco 3-1 in the Mestalla in the qualifiers.
Bayer should win by more than one against a BATE side who struggled through the qualifiers and look out of their depth and Barca will win in Italy if they play anywhere near their best. In fact for the Super Single I'm on Bayer -2 AH – money back if they win by two which they should be the minimum requirement.
Of all the favourites Bayern possibly face the toughest task at an Olympiakos side who have an exceptional home record and tend to score in front of their home fans.
So for a risky btts treble – it's worth 0.5pts – I'm on Olympiakos-Bayern, Chelsea v Maccabi (simply because of the number of goals the Blues have been conceding) and QPR v Blackburn. Rovers have been struggling but fought back well at Fulham on Sunday and there's always a chance of a goal with Jordan Rhodes playing – ditto with Charlie Austin in the opposite line-up.

Well done Mr F
Great tipping as ever Mr F, nearly had the full house.
Just seen the Lithuania game I posted about seeing BTTS this afternoon would have been won in 9 minutes. Rats.
Ooh wrong thread. Poor night for me but well done on the trebles Mr F.
A sound Treble ….brilliant
QPR to win is massive at evens to me
I’m going for a little London double. Chelsea -1 and QPR. I can see José getting them up for this to get some momentum for arsenal at the weekend. And I’m going to back QPR anytime Austin is playing.
Agreed ….Charlie Austin used to build walls now he scores goals
I like the look of BTTS in the 11pm Copa Sudamericana between Luqueno and Depertivo La Guaria the first leg finished 1-1. Luqueno games have seen both teams score in 12 of their last 13 outings. Deportivo have scored in 11 of their last 12 games.

Last time we were away to Zagreb we had Hoyte, Eboue, Djourou, Hleb, Almunia, & Adebayor in our starting 11 and we still won 3-0. They had Modric then too. Fancy us to win well tomorrow as we can often do on our European travels. Ramsey wincast would be worth looking at I reckon
Was working till 8.45 managed to get home catch juventus in play 7/1 and ronaldo to score the 4th goal 23/10
Didn’t bet before the games on my break fancied your tip of depay but didn’t bother :(,great tipping though as always
Mr H
On your btts hoping for a cheeky wee return!
Goodluck all with late night fluttering.
Thanks again Greg for your tip, it was one of only a few winners for me in a sea of losses tonight!
Fed up backing Charlton! Ah well tomorrows another day…..
Mint the home side have conceded in their last 14 and they are 1-0 up already inside 10mins so barring a rare clean sheet its looking promising

Any thoughts on the CONCACAF game later tonight at DC? I know Jordan usually has an opinion on these matches.
DC are 2/5 at home and won the away group match 1-0. -1 tempts me initially but I don’t know much about team news.
Not much to go on here but then again, does much need to be said? The champions and favourites to lift it again Barcelona travel to Roma. Barca have won 10 of their last 11 Champions league games matches including 4 of their last 5 away games. Roma have not kept a clean sheet in 22 of their last European games, and with Pjanic a doubt I’d fancy Barca to get the victory here. Bayern won 7-1 here last season, it won’t be a scoreline like that but with Messi used as a substitute on the weekend and coming on to score the winner, I’m hoping his away form will continue. He scored 8 goals in last years group stages (6 were away from home). More of the same please Lionel.

Aj I’m having a look at the team news then I might get something up mate. Should be around midnight.
Jordan I was reading on DC’s Twitter that they need a draw or win tonite too win the group
Mr H. Home games are the ones which need to be won in this competition as the away games are 1000+ mile journeys for some. I expect a strong side for DC but until I see it I won’t know whether its worth a bet.
Jordan I’ve alrady looked at Messi to get 2+ at 4/1 @PP giving that Ronaldo got a gat trick Messi usually matches it, or comes close.
Good price that mate. One of the reasons I’ve done it because of Ronaldos hat-trick. He was the highest rated player away from home in the competition last season and has scored in his last three games (three were for Argentina) but like you say they, him and Ronaldo usually make a game of it.
He’s just stretched out to EVS @ Stan James.
My tips for Wednesday will be goals in all champions leagues games over 1.5 may try over 2.5 in 5 of the games not sure which but arsenal and munich look certs bet for Thursday ajax to win 3-1 celtic are all over the place and ajax are a quality team but we must remember they only just got through the this stage by a 1-0 aggregate score line
Tips arsenal -2 chelsea not to win barca both teams to score and win worth a punt
Mark, no offence mate but you must be mad if you have more than a quid on that or a deluded Arsenal fan. Chelsea not to win? That’s fine if you’re going on form (all be it hideously unlikely) but then how can you justify Arsenal who have had a mediocre start to win by 3 or more? It’s rare that team’s win by 3 goals away from home unless you’re Barca/Real/Bayern playing weak opposition. Zagreb are no pushovers.

Completely agree with the shouts on Messi anytime and to score 2+. As alves has said Messi will be looking at Ronaldo’ hat trick and try to at least match it. That’s a decent anytime price for him actually
Still not a strong enough line up for DC United for me. Only one change from the reverse leg in which they won 1-0. Too short too back Over 1.5 Team Goals. Might get on in play if they’re dominating.
MrFixit-Are u aware that PSG had a 92nd minute goal disallowed?? I had a £50 AH -2 Double with PSG and R.Madrid was looking at the PSG match on my Skybet App when the 3rd went in. Was spewing when it came up Goal Cancelled. Instead of £170 back I ended up with £93!!
Gaz H, yes I saw that and a very marginal offside decision it was too.
I like the look of;
Arsenal win
Chelsea win
Messi anytime
Muller anytime
6/1
Thanks for commenting about the team news Jordan. I will look to back them in play when the price for the home win improves – provided they don’t score an early goal.
Well, couldn’t have been more wrong :)
Fell asleep with about 20 mins until kick off and just checked the score. I wonder how much the price drifted inside that first minute???
Shaun Tanner I must say thanks in advance as Aguilas landed so easily!!!!!cheers mate awaiting Defensor!!!!
Univ de Chile – 63min –
to score 11/10
i 2nd that thanks to shaun tanner. looking good tonight mate
Really rubbish fixtures all day tomorrow until the CL in my opinion. Struggling to find much but I quite like a treble of arsenal and barca to score and over 2.5 goals at new York City. Will decide after another look tomorrow
Jordan have you got anything on for the MLS tomorrow night? Also I don’t know if you guys have got any early ones up yet, but what are your initial thoughts on a dolphins rams double?
Just going through them now Harry. Think BTTS and Over 2.5 is a good bet in the New England/NYRB and NYCFC/Toronto game. More so the NYCFC game but the price reflects that. 4/7 @ 365. Double pays just under 19/10 @ 365 (1.88/1) and I’ll be having 2 points on that.
Big game in Foxborough that could see the Revs go top with a win despite sitting in 4th. 6 of the last 7 have seen that come in between these two and the pressure will be on the Bulls to get a point to keep a home advantage spot. NYCFC aren’t out of the playoff picture and could leapfrog Philadelphia with a win and sit a point behind a playoff place which will be a point behind Toronto. Once again pressure on the away side to get something out of this with their 3-1 loss at home to the Revs on the weekend. This fixture saw 8 goals in a 4-4 thriller in July, and maybe not quite so high scoring but I like that market to land here.
Posted a couple bets for the weekend but not overly keen on those teams in the NFL. Did like the Rams but not sure how consistent they’ll be. Gone for what I think are good match ups.
Pachuca -65min
to score 11/10
Venados FC – 71min
to score 2/1
Santa Tecla vs Real Salt Lake is worse than sunday league football!
My beloved Derby not conceding cost me a nice 8-way having successfully avoided the English teams in the champions league – certain teams last season made my C*** list, and although I’m thrilled we got all three points against a quality side, maybe it was because complacency crept in after they hammered Ipswich.
This might be a turning corner for Derby.
I still maintain that Derby tend to have a good October/November and with Thorne playing no part in last nights game, seemingly the boss has/is still going for it home and away with the 4-3-3.
Readings in form striker picked up a straight red I think for a headbutt on shackell, I’ve not seen it so I can’t comment yet, but 2 games out? I think that’s going to hurt them in their next few fixtures, so I think people need to be aware.
Jordan if you get a minute look up Alianza Lima vs Sport Huancayo(Peru premier league), 1st vs bottom(I know its only 3 games in) but Huancayo are 7.50/1 when they’ve won 3/4 and Lima have lost 4/4. Just seemed strange as there wasn’t even a huge gap of class last season with Lima finishing 11th and Huancayo 13th!
Valencia and Qpr to win £10 stake
Bayern and Porto to win £6 stake
Well done Mr F ,11 points profit .Thank you ,along with Greg and Johnb the site just gets better and better GL.

My choice is
Barcelona win
Bayern win
Porto Draw/Win double chance
Lyon DNB Win

Tried a 10 match fun bet yesterday, 114/1.

Profit again by combining Greg’s picks (thankfully I found Celtic u20 only at over 2.5) and Mr F Brighton and Middlesbrough. Thank you very much!
Chelsea u19s v mac tel aviv u19
Over 4 goal line
Chelsea saw 4+ goals in their last 2 champ league yth games including the final against shak don yth in april. Easily destroying sporting lisbons and maribors yth sides with 5 and 7-0 wins along the way. Maccabi should be below tbe level of abilty to these
I’m changing my bets. Chelsea -1 is way to short for the form they are on.
I’m now doing
Barca + Bayern evens
And barca w+ btts . bayern -1 7/1
2 sides in more than happy to put my money on.
Also my win+btts treble
Porto – QPR – Valencia.
Stephen. Like what you’re doing with your bets. Regarding your bet today Beijing -1 is 4/6 while -1.5 Asian handicap is 1.75. Asian paying more. Any thoughts on that? B365.
Well done to all winners btw.
Well done to the few winners yest..Seemed like Sheffutd didn’t wanna win yest missing2pens.Think I’m gunna be all on Qpr tonight at home against Blackburn..But I reckon Blackburn might get a goal so I might also do the Qpr wincast also. Will look a bit later

Disappointed Leeds didn’t manage to get a goal yesterday although Charlton game had over 2.5 up just so two legs let me down
Today I’ve dipped into Portugal where I’m a bit cautious as it seems red cards are a plenty In the second tier so caution advised but here’s my bet today
Qpr Blackburn over 2.5
Corby v Boston under 3.5
Sporting Lisbon b v leixoes under 2.5
Farense v braga b under 2.5
Pays approx 7/1 Billy hills online
Started with 1000, currently at 980. £30 win fourfold tonight so bank at £950
Beijing guoans forms been patchy last few. Very inconsistant. Changchun very capable of scoring against them and last head to head finished 2-1 to beijing. Id feel safer on the btts market than either winning. Could be same scoreline
Am not saying beijing wont cover the handicap as they may do if on form as have the best home form in the league. Just i find this league its best to look to goals than the 1×2 market
6 out of the possible 8 champions league youth games went over 3.5 match goals yday ! Going to have them as singles again today, will have to wait just before ko for over 3.5 mg to arrive ! Good luck lads
7 of the 8 CL youth games went o2.5gls yesterday with only PSG youth bucking the trend. There’s another 8 matches today and all 8 pays 25/1. Perm any 7 and all 8 for 9 bets with the minimum 7 paying 13/1
Also on that mr h thankyou
Olympiakos u19 DNB @6/5
I don’t think Bayern u19 are that great, def think the Greeks have enough to draw or beat them
4/6 DC might be even better
Capone I was thinking the exact same about Olympiakos youth, was looking through their record on Soccerway from last season.
They finished 2nd in a group that included Juve,A. Madrid and Malmo. They beat both Juve and Madrid away from home. And lost on penalties in the last 16 too eventual finalists Shaktar.
Munich finished 3rd in a group with Man City,Roma and CSKA Moscow. They lost all 3 away games in that group. Only Maribor,APOEL and Sporting conceded more in the group’s than Munichs 18.
Corby v Boston
Over 2.5 goals
19/20
Bet 365
Mr F. I placed a bet on the yes no coupon for the man city game and the juventus game. One of the selections was no headed headed goal n no penalty vs yes headed goal n penalty awarded. I selected no headed goal n no penalty awarded. But the first goal was an own goal which was a header. How does this bet stand?
This is why I stick to the more common markets. Headach!
Mr H, it depends on their terms and conditions – it’s something you’d need to ask the bookie.
Hi, all
i think Beijing
1-0 @7.0
2-0 @6.0
Capone I think Gent at 5/2 could be worth a gamble at home too Lyon or even double chance at EVENS. Belgian football is getting better at all levels and their youths are a good outfit at international level too . Anderlecht youths reached the semis last year while Frances 2 representatives Monaco and PSG were elimanated at the group stages. It’s both clubs first appearance in the tournament and I fancy Gent too at least draw
Morning all, two out of four on my Yankee so 4 points profit wish I could of narrowed for a Trixie as I usually do ,would of been fourteen oh well hampy you think btts is a safe ish bet in Beijing.
MAIN BET
LEVERKUSEN TO WIN
MUNICH TO WIN

Having little dabble on
MACCABI TEL AVIV to score 6/5
MACCABI TEL AVIV over 2.5 corners 4/6
ZAGREB to score 8/13
Prime example of the inflated English market. Jason Denayer has a clause in his loan deal at Galatasaray that they can buy him for £30m. The boys got good ability and had a solid season at Celtic but is he twice the player Van Dijk is?
Michael to be honest im looking at today chinese game in the same light as did with luneng against hangzhou the other day where i think the home side should win and are capable of scoring 3 themselves but also thinking the opponents are capable of a goal.
Id probably prefer to go
Beijing win and over 2.5 @1.80
Though il also be on beijing clean sheet no @ 1.90
Fancy Arsenal to win tonight but very little value in odds of 8/15 so I’ve looked at Zagreb and have to fancy them to score considering they are unbeaten in 41 games Btts is a standout @ 10/11.If Zagreb do get the goal then the most likely scorer has to be Angelo Henriquez who is in stunning form netting 25 from 31 games and scored a brace at the weekend,Odds of 4/1 boylesports for him to net anytime could be worth a flutter.
Good Luck.
Odds have been adjusted on William Hill regarding Olympiakos U19’s. Double Chance has gone from 6/10 to 4/9
Went for a safeish option last night of backing favourites.
Athletico Madrid
Real
Aberdeen
Brighton
PSG
Benfica
Middlesbrough
Sevilla
Put on £7.23 and it gave me £128 back
Should’ve been brave and put some handicaps on but I wanted to be safe!!
Hopefully some success for us all tonight!!!
Back on the site after a brief hiatus, let’s find some winners today :)
Liking the look of Al Alhi Dubai at home against Naft Tehran at home this afternoon, kick off is 5.25pm.
The price of the Home side is Evens on William Hill and i think this is a real play. Al Alhi lead 1-0 from the 1st leg after winning in Tehran. I watched the game myself and Al Alhi Dubai were a cut above Tehran and also boast Lima in their ranks, the ex Benfica front man/goal machine. I believe they will win at home, most probably a 2-0 scoreline.
Jump On!
Good morning folks.
Yesterday was a disappointment but I’m feeling pretty optimistic about tonight’s selections having analysed 5 games in detail from the Champions League.
Here’s my previews and suggested bets for Wednesday.
9:45 Roma vs Barcelona – Prediction -0.2 Suggested Bets – Barcelona to win @8/13, Barcelona to score 2 or more @4/6
Catalan giants and current Champions League holders Barcelona take the short trip across the Mediterranean to face Roma in what is certainly the most glamours of the 8 fixtures on offer this evening and I’m confidently backing Barcelona to win @8/13 with plenty of stats to back up the selection.
The champions of course have a tremendous record in this compEtition and with the three amigos Messi, Suarez and Neymar all fit, I expect an away win as Barcelona bid to become the first team to retain the competition since it’s reinvention in 1992.
Barca have won 5 of their last 7 on the road in this tournament, scoring 2 or more in all 7 fixtures and in 11 of their last 12 fixtures in this competition so we can expect them to score at least 1, and quite possibly more here.
They have 6 clean sheets in their last 8 away league fixtures with 11 wins from 12 in the road in La Liga and they come into this fixture in confident mood following their late winner at Atletico on Saturday evening.
Roma have bounced back from a dissappointing opening day draw in Serie A with Verona to beat Juventus in their most recent home fixture and then on the road at Frosinone, but their history in this tournament suggests they won’t have enough to stop Barcelona collecting the first 3 points on offer.
In Champions League fixtures in recent years, Roma have lost 4 of their last 7 home fixtures and have kept only 2 clean sheets in 15 home fixtures going back 5 years with 19 conceded including 7 to Bayern in their 7 most recent home fixtures in this tournament while 10 of their last 13 at home have seen BTTS.
Goals are likely here but I expect Barca to score most of, if not all of them. Barca are 8/13 to score 2 or more and while they have yet to click fully into gear this season, they should have too much quality, especially in that amazing three pronged attack. Considering their record of scoring 2 or more on the road in Europe, they should be able to do it here against a team that usually struggle when they take they step up from Serie A to the Champions League.
The Romans will likely be missing key midfield man Miralem Pjanic but they have some good players in their team including Chelsea loan man Mo Salah, former Man City striker Edin Dzeko and of course the evergreen captain and king of Rome Francesco Totti who is hoping to start tonight. The 37 year old, 1 club man is now just 1 goal short of the magic 300 total and he couldn’t pick a better occasion in which to record that landmark milestone.
Still I can’t see them getting a result here against a team that should always win when they turn up and with Messi and Neymar now fit and firing again, along with Suarez, I fancy the away win @8/13 quite strongly.
It’s a big wide pitch at the Stadio Olimpico and I expect that will suit Barcelona’s style and with the home crowd sure to be unsettled by Barca’s likely dominance, Roma will have to be patient in the face of some huge expectation from a passionate crowd who could easily become restless in the face of away dominance.
I don’t think they will manage it and I expect Barcelona to score 2 or more on their way to victory with the 8/13 on the away win my best bet here.
Champions League Group F
19:45 Dinamo Zagreb vs Arsenal – Prediction -0.3 – Suggested Bets – Arsenal to win @1/2, Arsenal to score 2 or more @4/7
Arsenal travel to Zagreb expecting nothing less than 3 points against modest opposition and despite vowing never to back this ever so frustrating team again, I’m very tempted to take the 1/2 on an away win with Arsenal having much more quality at their disposal and a pretty good away record both domestically and in Europe.
Having crashed to an opening day defeat, Arsenal have won 3 of their last 4 and seem to be regaining their form and they should have too much attacking quality to leave Zagreb with anything less than 3 points.
The Gunners have won each of their last 3 away Champions League fixtures, and 7 of their previous 11, losing twice while they show similarly excellent form in the league, winning 7 of their previous 8 on the road. In their last 2 campaigns in this competition, Arsenal have won 4 out of 6 away group phase matches and goals are rarely a problem with 8 of their last 14 away producing 2 or more and I expect them to have far too much quality for an over-matched opponent here.
In their 2 previous ventures into the Champions League group stages, Zagreb have lost 5 out of 6 home games, conceding 15 in the process and they are surely not nearly on Arsenal’s level so I’m confidently backing another away win here @1/2 odds and Arsenal should have enough in the tank to score at least 2 goals @4/7 odds
19:45 Olympiakos vs Bayern Munich – Prediction -2.1 Suggested Bets – Olympiakos or draw @9/5, Bayern clean sheet – NO @8/11, Olympiakos to win @15/2
I’m going against the grain and predicting a possible upset here in Athens as 4/9 odds on favourites Bayern travel to Greece to take on an Olympiakos side that have a tremendous home record domestically and in this competition.
The Greek champions have won all 12 of their home league fixtures in 2015 with only 2 defeats in their previous 25 at home but that form is not merely consigned to the Greek Super Liga where they have been the dominant team for half a decade now having won their 5th successive title last season.
Their numbers are really quite impressive at home in the Champions League and the 15/2 on offer for a home win looks overpriced to me, based on some compelling evidence that suggests the upset is possible.
Olympiakos have won a remarkable 16 out of 20 home Champions League fixtures going back to 2008 including 10 of their most recent 12 fixtures, winning all 3 of their home fixtures in both of their last 2 campaigns. They recorded fine wins over Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Malmo in 2014 while in the year previous they took the scalps of Man Utd, Anderlecht and Benfica with 14 goals scored over the course of these fine victories. That’s no accident and this is a team that always seems to rise to the big occasion in front of their vocal and passionate support.
They have scored in 12 successive home champions league games, and 18 in 20 going back as far as 2008 with only 4 defeats in 25 home Champions League fixtures going back to 2006. They are the very definition of a home team who knows how to get results in front of their iconic support and I fancy they can get something tonight.
Sure they don’t have the quality of Bayern but the signing of Esteban Cambiasso will add some real experience and grit to their midfield while Bayern have some issues of their own to contend with including many key players still missing through injury. Robben, Ribery, Benatia, Martinez and Badstuber are all sidelined so Guardiola will likely continue with his unorthodox 3.4.3 formation which operates with just 1 centre back and should certainly give the Greeks some opportunities to score.
The Germans have won only 2 of their last 7 on the road in this tournament, losing 3 of their last 4 and a trip to a hostile environment such as this could be much more of a challenge than the 4/9 price on Bayern to win would suggest.
While they might not get the win, I’m really confident they can score at least so I’m happy to back the hosts to score @8/11 odds and I’ll take a chance on them to win or draw @9/5 as well with the home form really quite impressive for a perceived underdog of the competition.
Finally, what better reason and narrative do the Greeks need to get one over the Germans in the wake of the recent Euro crisis. I really have a feeling for the upset but I’m more than confident in backing the home side to score @8/11 while the upset victory would really stick it to Merkel and the bookies with such an upset priced at a big 15/2.
Champions League Group G
19:45 Dynamo Kyiv vs FC Porto – Prediction -1.1 – Suggested Bets – Draw @11/5
Dynamo Kiev return to the Champions League after a 3 year absence but this isn’t a fixture that stands out for me in terms of best bets for tonight.
The Ukranian side have won only 3 of their previous 10 home fixtures in the Champions League and they actually faced Porto in their last campaign 3 years ago, drawing 0.0 in Kiev and losing 3.2 in Oporto.
Porto are undoubtedly more experienced but I can’t back them to win and having drawn in Ukraine last year with a 2.2 at Shakthar, we may see a similar outcome here against a Dynamo side that will probably be happy to take a point.
A draw is worth a small stakes punt but it’s not in my best bets.
19:45 Chelsea vs Maccabi Tel Aviv – Prediction 2.0- Suggested Bets – Chelsea -1 @4/6
Jose Mourinho is currently enduring the worst spell of his managerial career with Chelsea having their poorest start to a Premier League campaign that has been further soured by some internal disputes that have done nothing for morale or indeed the reputation of both club and manager.
Suddenly the pressure is all on for Mourinho and his Chelsea side and while it would be idiotic to write the Portuguese or his team off at this early stage of the season, it’s worth remembering that in this very week 6 years ago, Chelsea were held to a surprise draw with Rosenborg in their first fixture of the group which was then followed by the shock departure of Mourihno that very week.
While the angry one signed a new 4 year deal in the summer, there can be no doubt that anything less than a positive result here against the minnows from Israel would put Mourihno under an enormous amount of pressure from both media and chairman alike.
How fickle football can be with Chelsea most peoples favourites to win the title just 1 month ago but an 11 point gap to Man City is a huge one for the Londoners to chase down and they absolutely must get a good result and performance here to build at least some momentum before another big game domestically this weekend with fellow Londoners Arsenal.
Changes are expected in the wake of another league defeat with rumours suggesting John Terry and Diego Costa will both be replaced and it could well be that a freshening of the team is exactly what the faltering champions need right now.
I do expect a response from this team who surely have to improve sooner rather than later and they do have a formidable home record to call upon here. The Blues have won 12 of their last 17 at home in this tournament and 4 of last 6 home group stage matches, They have also won by 2 or more goals in 6 of their last 7 home wins in this competition with only 3 losses in 25 home Champions League fixtures and only 1 defeat ever in the group stages at the Bridge, that to Basel 2 years ago
I’m taking Chelsea -1 to win @4/6, with a solid home record and a history of winning by more than 1 when they do record a victory in this tournament.
Champions League Group H
19:45 Valencia vs Zenit St. Petersburg – Prediction 2.1- Suggested Bets – Valencia to win @17/20, BTTS @4/5
Valencia play host to Russian champions Zenit in what is likely to be a close encounter at the Mestalla this evening between two relatively evenly matched sides.
The hosts are strong at home though, both domestically and in the Champions League. They have won 5 of their 7 most recent home ties, and 7 from 11 going back 2 years. In the league they have won 10 of their previous 13 are unbeaten during that period have lost just once in 21 and that was against champions Barcelona although they have drawn 2 of their opening 3 La Liga fixtures.
BTTS is quite possible with 8 of Valencias last 10 home fixtures in the Champions League producing that outcome, and in each of their previous 4 including their recent qualifying legs with Monaco. Goals are rarely a problem with Valencia scoring in in 18 of their last 20 fixtures in this competition and in 15 of their last 16 home league games so you would expect them to score against a Russian team that don’t travel particularly well.
The Russians have produced BTTS in 6 of their last 9 away fixtures in this competition with only 2 clean sheets in 9 and I do fancy them to perhaps get on the score sheet here along with the hosts and BTTS is priced @4/5.
Zenit come into this fixture with manager Andre Villas-Boas annoucing his intention to leave the club at the end of the domestic season and they have just 1 win from their last 4 with 2 defeats in that period. They have lost 4 of their last 7 in champions league on the road and have just 1 win in 5 and with Villas-Boas suspended from the domestic league due to an assault on a match official, things could certainly be going more smoothly for the former Spurs and Chelsea boss who will surely now have some issues regarding authority in the dressing room with his departure now a certainty.
Zenit do have attacking quality in the likes of home favourite and excellently named Oleg Shatov as well as expensive foreign imports like Danny and Hulk so they will certainly carry a threat to Valencia here in what should be a close fixture where I like the chances of BTTS and a home win.
Valencia’s best displays so far this season have come in their two victories over Monaco and I expect them to continue that form tonight by seeing off the Russians who can flatter to deceive at times.
Zenit have lost on each of their 3 visits to Spain in this competition, conceding 9 goals in defeats to Real Madrid (3.0), Atletico Madrid (3.1) and Malaga (3.0) while Valencia have never lost at home to Russian opposition in the Champions League with 4 wins and 1 draw so history is on the side of a home win here.
I’m taking Valencia to win @17/20 while BTTS @4/5 has to have a good chance as well.

Maybe later today they will me post them? individually perhaps?
ryan, it’s been approved – possibly too long to go through.
Morning gents,
Three bets that I fancy today…
Chelsea V Maccabi Tel Aviv:
At some point soon Chelsea will get back on track, just to much strength within the team to continue on their poor run. However, I don’t think tonight’s game will be one way traffic against a waspish Maccabi side. I think we will see goals and I will be backing Over 3.5 match goals which incorporates a bit of ‘insurance’ should the visitors score…6/4 NAP
QPR V Blackburn:
The visitors showed a bit of mettle in their last game and that seems to be keeping the QPR price a pretty good looking one – I would expect them to be around 4/5 going into this game and 21/20 looks very appealing. Toying with QPR Over 1.5 TG’s but actually the straight win looks the one to be on…QPR win 21/20 NB
Last one and worth a look: Icelandic U 19 games I mentioned yesterday – 6/7 finished O2.5 goals 5-0, 0-4, 2-4, 7-1 amongst some of the score-lines.
The two games that went AWOL (listed as yesterday) are actually this evening at 18.30 – I will be getting on in-play early doors when the market opens up.
Good luck lads.
Thanks Mr F.
Looking forward to seeing your selections for today. What do you think about the Bayern match at Olympiakos? I smell an upset or at the very least a home goal @8/11.
ryan, I think Bayern will be too strong but Olympiakos can score so maybe Bayern and btts is a shout.
It’s on a long shot btts treble anyway.
Tips are up – need to head out for a few hours.
Only the Overs came in last night in the Bragantino game so small loss there, ended up 5-3 so RT7 5/6 and small stakes on over 14 corners lose, over 2.5 gls 4/5 wins
FT 2-2 & 5-3 on corners
double from me lads no explanation needed
valencia win
bayern leverkusen win
10.00
returns
23.23
good luck all
Should have posted my bet last night instead of hesitating, as it’s dropped from 17/20 to 4/5 now
Barcelona over 0.5 team goals
Arsenal over 0.5 team goals
NYC v Toronto over 2.5 match goals
Treble pays 4/5 boylesports
Wel done with the two trebles last night Paul, no mean feat
Greg, thanks – good luck with your Chelsea bets. They have to win well surely but with their defensive record around 6-4 for Maccabi to score is worth a look.
Any team can score in any game even if they’re hammered.
Done up a shortlist for Saturday – what’s your thoughts on St Johnstone at Killie?
Have you got anything lined up for today Greg?
Mr H 0-0 half time, Looks good for dc
Cheers hampy I’ll take another look
Hampy thanks for the Chile tip through the night, doubled it with Brazilian match,I have to agree with you on the China match, changchun are capable of getting a goal and must be worth a point at 1/1,also going to go for bbts and over 2.5mgs at 13/8 with bet365..
Mr F do you mean -2AH for the single. I can’t see odds near what you have quoted for. Can only see 8/11 for Bayer -1?
Jacksonator, Bayer -2 AH is an Asian Handicap bet – it’s different from normal handicaps because of Bayer win by exactly two the bet is void.
I see the confusion – the write-up says -2AH but I’ve typed -1 at the bottom because I’m an idiot.
Apologies but was rushing out – the tip is -2AH and odds have been cut.
Cheers Mr F – thought that was the case so went in at the time you posted the tip on Bayer at -2AH
I feel like a snooze scrolling through all that..Confident on Qpr tonight..Blackburn have been shocking..Will see tho.
A word of warning for all of you mentioning Zagreb and their home record. They play rubbish teams. They went into the 2012 CL group stages on a 32 match unbeaten home record and then lost the first 5 group games to nil. They got a 1-1 draw at home to Kiev in their last group game which was their only goal scored in 6. I also mentioned last night that we last played them in 2006 at their place and our team was very very average with Hoyte, Almunia, Hleb, Djourou, Eboue, Adebayor all starting while they had probably one of their best teams with Modric, Eduardo silva, & Corluka. We won 3-0 and it was a very straight forward game. Just my opinion on it anyway but bear in mind home form in leagues is not always relevant
Belgium women btts v Poland women
Main bet is posted but one other small stakes bet I fancy. How can you not fancy the best player in the world to score? This Messi guy gets a few too so I’ve heard
Anytime Goalscorer
Ramsey
Messi
Double pays 7.98 at 888sport
Morning gents
A smaller card today and not much standing out – The champions league is difficult to find value in, have had a good look and decided not to post a NAP, instead I’m posting two bets that I’m confidant about but stakes will be smaller! It’s all about Chelsea
Chelsea v Maccabi Tel Aviv KO 7.45pm
It’s been a disastrous start to the season for Chelsea on and off the pitch and iis probably Jose’s worst period as a manager! You don’t turn from title winners to a bad team overnight though! Chelsea need a performance and more importantly a result tonight and they should get it! This is Tel Avivs first foray Into the UCL in 11 years and they be out of their depth against a side who will be determined to get back to winning ways
Back Chelsea over 2.5 team goals 11/10 (Bet365)
Chelsea u19 v Maccabi Tel Aviv u19 KO 1.05pm
The unders 19’s are also in action and the Chelsea side don’t lose many winning 16 of their last 18 matches and they won 9 of 10 matches in last years competition scoring plenty of goals! They should be to good for Tel Aviv and goals are likely
Back over 3.5 match goals (inplay)
Looking even better now Capone 1-0 Olympiakos :)
They were 8/5 for the win before ko, I took 6/5 DNB :D
Wednesday Afternoon Double:
MUANG THONG UTD
BEIJING GUOAN v CHANGCHUN YATAI over 2.5 match goals
1.21/1 William Hill
Tonights NAP is Leeds v Ipswitch O2.5MG 21/20, also taking Gregs NAP as a single and a double with my own.
Lost, thank God for Greg’s NAP!
@Harry
Ramsey hasn’t travelled mate, expecting a bit of rotation tonight probably see Gibbs, Debuchy and Arteta starting. Should be good enough for a couple of goals though!
Well Mr f,s btts treble is 8/1 but btts@win treble on Chelsea Bayern and QPR is 40/1 and all are expected to wi right. As its only 0.5 points I think this provides a better gamble again in a 0.125 Trixie even for a bit of insurance I’m on good luck all I’ll be back later with my own Trixie.
Michael, totally agree – and I might join you.
I’m going to start a thread where everyone can contribute a win and btts selection and then I’ll put it on as a team effort.
Win and btts is an incredibly popular market but tough to get a treble upwards in.
Will be an interesting experiment – and I’ll share any returns with one of the contributors.
Hopefully start this weekend as it’s my weekend off so I have a bit more time to devote to the site.
Cheers for olympiakos yth Capone.
No prob, hopefully we’ll get a few more winners today on the Yth etc
Ryan, that’s a top post. Nice work, mate.
Just getting quick chance to get on before back to work. The 4/5 I got last night dropped rapidly as you can see kingy I never copped the Asian last night as I was falling asleep looking at screen I would have taken it if it was better price. Didn’t go for goals as I couldn’t see gouan conceding but I might be wrong.
Arsenal win & over 1.5tg 8/11 @pp
I fancy Zagreb vs Arsenal btts and o2.5 gls
Valencia to win
QPR to win
But as well as tipping depay to score first and anytime you tipped de bruyne and both to score. I think in the interest of fairness it is important to point that out.
joe b, you’ve pointed it out so I don’t need to.
Depay was on my Yankee – De Bruyne wasn’t. And De Bruyne didn’t start so was void with most bookies anyway.
Also Depay was my headline tip in the Daily Record from which this column is a spin-off.
Every tip – winner or loser – remains archived for anyone who wants to keep track.
Kitchee vs Kuwait
Kuwait beat them 6-0 at home 1st leg
Full markets up , Kuwait over 1.5 tg @1/2 has to be free money
wouldnt that tell you they dont need to win this game? probably a weakened team too.
Cheapshot, just thought they’d manage 2 after putting 6 past them, had Chelsea u19 over 1.5fhg so done anyway,
I found the team news on the AFC Cup’s twitter page for future reference Capone as I was going to look at a second half bet after seeing your tip. Anyway, they do seem to have rotated a few players yet there are 4 or so from the first leg. Anyway they’ve just scored 1 now with loads of time to go – unfortunately I didn’t get on before their equaliser. Good luck mate
Who watch the Gamba Osaka game? Great end to end game with a terrific finish!
Do you mean Bayern for your super single as i can’t get anywhere near that price for Bayer Leverkusen with BV.
TFB, the write-up’s on Bayer. Prices have fallen – best I can see now is 13-10 with Winner.
cant remember who said he used 365 in mallorca recently but ive had no luck, called them and they advised due to local laws its not allowed, not had a betfor days now ………….. :(
Afternoon lads
After a brilliant night last night doubling up the two trebles I was looking at tonights card and thinking of a barca and bayern double
Just wondering what people’s opinion are and if there is any inside information I should know before backing this
My bet for the day is qpr win 3 or 4 goals in game . GL all
On the train on way home got decent bet up last night.
Psg minus 1
Madrid minus 1
Benfica
Aberdeen
Middelsboro…
I am on a good run since Friday and looking forward to getting home.
Have a bad feeling about Barcelona tonight…
My bet is
Chelsea minus 1
Leverkusen minus 1
Bayern
Arsenal
Looks solid enough.
Am i the only 1 that think chelsea going to dish out a real hiding tonight?
Chelsea -1 8/13
QPR 1/1
Valencia 17/20
Leverkusen 1/4
£40 returns £296
Any opinions? i think arsenal and bayern will win but not feeling confident enough
Bit of fun for me while watching tonight’s Champions League Games
I’ve put £5 on a 525/1 “Match Action” Five-Fold with Bet Victor:-
Dynamo Zagreb v Arsenal
Chelsea v Maccabi Tel Aviv
Roma v Barcelona
Bayer Leverkusen v BATE
Olympiacos v Bayern Munich
All games to have:-
Over 9 Corners
Under 4 Goals
Under 5 Yellow Cards
This is not a tip, a bit of fun with a spare fiver :)
just stuck a dbl inplay on chelsea over 0.5 fhg and leverkusen over 0.5 fhg.just double my money if comes up.chelsea just scored.come on leverkusen or bate.
Craneguy I just got back from crete and couldn’t log into sites using their WiFi but paying for a euro pass meant I could
Excellant tipping again MrFixit. As an Englishman i find your tips on the Scottish leagues especially top class, found myself winning £s from games id never previously even looked at (Dunfermline last week killed me though but i suspect im not alone)
As a Blackburn fan i would advise anyone having a flutter tonight to get on QPR, athough i cant bring myself to do it myself. We have been truely woeful this season and managed by a manager who is tactically inept i cannot see any other result tonight than an home win
Dougie, cheers. I’d expect QPR to win but they were poor against Forest so I’ll leave it out.
Capone, I’m sure you regret even mentioning free money when it comes to a betting tip haha. Doesn’t look to good I would cover kitchee for the win kuwait don’t even need to score
Chomp cheers, certainly has burst my bubble although I don’t know why I didn’t check. Told my old man the bet and he said the same thing straight away! Looks like it will all be going on Messi then which isn’t a bad thing. Fancy ox to have a good game, going to look at him any time instead
People who are backing Leverkusen, I wouldn’t be so quick to do so at 1/4 or worse. They haven’t been great lately
Re-invented, games last 90mins :)
That’s very true Capone, hope it comes in for you mate.
Cooenhagen vs Randers
Randers or draw 11/10 bet365
Anyone give me advice as I’m looking at a treble Chelsea -1 bayern -2 and Valencia to win odds of over 12/1 I’m looking at it thinking its a solid bet but didn’t expect them odds

Well, here’s rather a stat for you. The referee of the Chelsea game tonight Felix Zwayer, who is refereeing his first ever real Champions League game, has given out 10 red cards in his last 10 matches.
So true hampy, had enough bets beat by last minute penalty over the years.take the luck when it’s going..
I haven’t been following this site long but I’ve already changed my fortunes thanks to lads like yourself,Jordan, greg, harry,Mr f to name a few.
I’ll have to start putting up a few tips.
Cheers mate
I see 90 minutes wasn’t enough to wipe out your silly statement Capone ;) sorry but it really grates my nuts when people mention buying money or free money!

Hi Jordan, any tips on MLS tonight?
Aaron Ramsey been left behind for arsenals game in Zagreb tonight. I fancy giroud to start and score.
Giroud first goal 4/1
Giroud anytime 10/11
We have a terrifc record against Killie and they really struggle at home which is strange given they have a plastic pitch! If Dundee and Roas Coubty can go there and score 4 there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be confident of a win!
Downside is Steve ” goals” MacLean ” doesn’t play on plastic pitches as per doctors advice for his knee
Greg, cheers for the MacLean heads up – he’s not the only one.
Rush Div3 in running
Strogino v Locomotive
Strogino are in 8th place and 6 of their 7 homes but 5 of those wins were against teams in the bottom half. Their only loss coming in the last home 1.2 the team in 5th.
Locomotive have lost twice on the road the first an early season defeat to Khimik and the 2nd to the leaders.
Locomotive have won 6 of their last 8 on the road and in their last 3 they won 4.0. 4.1 against teams in 6th and 7th and a 2.2 draw with the 4th placed team.
Locomotive @ 21/20

The problem i often find is narrowing down who to bet on. Lots of contributors offering different advice. I usually put too many bets on on nights like tonight and end up breaking even which isnt a disastor considering my recent terrible luck.
Hi Martin. Posted this this morning in response to Harry who asked what I thought of tonights MLS games.
Good afternoon all.
Here are my final picks for the games tonight.
All of my previews are stuck at the bottom of the comments section for anyone looking for the justification behind the selections.

Considered also Alcacer ATGS and Lacazette ATGS.
Reasoning: First of all Messi has quite a record of doing well when Ronaldo does well and apart from this messi is messi.
Hazard if I’m correct has penalties and I feel like Chelsea will have a penalty tonight although Pedro was tempting.
Charlie Austin and Muller are consistent scorers and in form and I expect them to stay that way.
Looking at the wknd games just now and gone for 3 away teams to score in the PL,
Don’t have to explain too much but Chelsea only 4 points in 5 games, West Ham beaten Liverpool 0-3 and Arsenal 0-2 in 2 away games so far and on form Leicster v off form Stoke(2nd v 2nd bottim)
Arsenal(at Chelsea)
West Ham(at City)

QPR Over 1.5TG

The 13/8 for QPR to win and over 1.5 goals also looked a good bet and then I noticed how poor QPR have been defensively. Whilst Blackburn have looked very poor the occasions I’ve seen them I wouldn’t trust QPR to keep them out. QPR will be keen to get to two goals tonight knowing how fragile they’ve been and they’ll be keen to put the result against Forest behind them. The 11/10 looks great value to me.
NB:
Corby v Boston
Over 2.5 goals

Last two meetings between the sides have seen both teams find the net and over 2.5 goals scored. In their recent matches there has also been a gluten of goals with goals going in both ends and I reckon with both teams close to each other in the league and a win for either side putting them within a few points of the play-offs both teams will see this as a game they can win.

Too Big?
It looks interesting and I am by no means an expert but keep in mind that they are still facing Chelsea’s defence, and this time Ivanovic isn’t starting so maybe that will solve their problems defensively. But as you said 5/1 is quite a good price.
Mr F, I have done your treble and added B Munich to make it an intresting 4 fold. Good luck to all having a punt tonight.

Luke just seen your post from earlier, got them from Paddy Power after someone mentioned their corner markets yday
Jordan – Gotze didn’t play against Augsburg … coming back from injury … probably not 100% hence on the bench
On the De Rossi to be shown a card bet he’s already bn booked twice this season(in his last 2 games) plus last season he racked up 12 bokkings plus a sending off
Fancy Chelsea -1 and Barca -1 double.
Chelsea will be revved up and should win by at least 2 goals against an average side.
Barca are a cut above Roma, Roma grind out results and i just feel Barca will win by at least 2 clear goals. the talent on offer is just too tempting to not play the -1 handicap

Evening Guys Champions league Scorers
I cant disagree with what the regulars have said on tonight games. I am going for 3 scorers tonight starting with Alexsis Sanchez to break his duck in a game I can see Arsenal scoring a few. He is 7/4 Bet465.
Jose Mourinho has made some changes to his side, I Hazard will be popular however I am taking the forgotten man Oscar. 5 of his 6 Champions league goals have come at the Bridge, he is a good price at 12/5 Paddy Power.
Another scorer I like a good price given I suspect Bayern Munich could score a few is Thomas Muller he is 5/4 Ladbrokes.
SANCHEZ TO SCORE 7/4
OSCAR TO SCORE 12/5
MULLER TO SCORE 5/4
Good luck if your having a bet

Capone, just to say thanks for the earlier post suggesting Olympiakious u19’s to beat Bayern. Made a significant bet at 19/10 and they on 1-0. Many thanks my man.
Last minute as forgot to post Leverkusen arsenal and Barcelona btts@win Trixie goals galore tonight 4 everyone gl
Hampy bit late but thanks for Beijing advice I waited 15 mins and got 7/2 inplay btts@win.
Hmm.. Hazard..
What is wrong with that Hazard man? Shocking
Don’t post many bets that i like but I do think a stand out “false odds” bet is Sport Huancayo against Allianza Lima in Peru later.
Double chance is evens but I prefer the DNB at 3/1.

Typical Arsenal. All over them and then go and concede at the other end after dominating the play. I don’t know why I trust them with my money.
I’m on:

Arsenal
Bayer
at Evens
Should have gone with Barca!
How many people have done barca Bayern and yes arsenal to let down the treble early days but that looks like the one the bookies will clean up on …yet again
Paul ? Need your opinion on the arsenal game
I bet 50 quid at 20/1 on the next goal is an own goal but they have for the moment gave it too the Zagreb player but u can see clearly from the replay it comes off the arsenal players leg.
Will they still change it or is that it now? Seems strange as it’s clear from the back replay it’s an own goal
if it was on target and looking like it was going in they wont award the og
skysports have it as og.
Callum g, the goal was an OG and has now officially been credited as such.
Mr f how do I stand had Charlie Austin anytime scorer some crediting him with goal but bet I put on with skybet say own goal???
Brooky56, it’s officially been given as an OG so they’ll pay out on that unless you can persuade them otherwise.
what a goal
Bertie I’m on barca bayern double but left out nasty arsenal
Haha sound they have just changed it too an own goal hehe.
flashscores have just changed it to an own goal
arsenal are going to spoil what was looking a great night.
Sanjay looks like you was very wise to leave arsenal out I think they thought they could just turn up and win
That Giroud is a muppet
Bayern game-over 1.5 goals-evens-worth a few bob.
Thanks guys but I seen they changed it after j sent it. I would have been raging if they didn’t. Think folk that live next door thought I am still the nutter jumping in the living room shouting own goal lol
Bertie It’ll only be a wise choice if barca and bayern both win as they’re drawing now.

Mr f or any other knowledgeable gamblers on here. I had austin anytime tonight to score. The official qpr twitter page and sky sports news said it was def his goal. Other site say og. The bet firm i use said theyll pay out if goal is awarded to austin in next 48 hours. Any thoughts or advice.???

Fair enough Joseph not noticed them myself but good work if you’re in profit. Just don’t see the point in ridiculing someone trying to make a positive contribution to the site?
Really surprised no one mentioned that Scottish ref Collum or whatever was on form tonight, 4 yellows and 2 reds! Come on folks that was one that got away lol

My bet on Charlie Austin to score at anytime with Bet365 was settled as a loser. Had i not been on the ball to notice this then i’d be out of pocket. I am awaiting Bet365 getting back to me. I wonder how often these “mistakes” happen and go unnoticed…

NB:

***Win***
Last two meetings between the sides have seen both teams find the net and over 2.5 goals scored. In their recent matches there has also been a gluten of goals with goals going in both ends and I reckon with both teams close to each other in the league and a win for either side putting them within a few points of the play-offs both teams will see this as a game they can win.

Not a market a usually bet on but I have a gut feeling the New York vs Toronto game gonna have a corner fest and over 11 corners at 11/8 (sky bet) looks appealing to me.. They both manage 8 corners in their last game..so hopefully they both go corner happy again..haha..Gonna have a go…
Over 11 corners 11/8 (skybet) £50 stake…
Over 17 corners 12/1..little £5 on that too.. And of course Jordan’s double :)
