NO lines are easy to get up but this could be the easiest on a tough card.

I’m going to start in the SPL where Ross County meet St Mirren. It was 5-4 to the Buddies when they last met and while we won’t see a repeat hopefully both can hit the target.

Saints’ confidence for a long trip north was boosted by Saturday’s 3-1 over Dundee that moved them four points clear of the bottom and ended a run of six defeats.

Following their 2-1 home defeat by Dundee United at the weekend five of County’s last six have seen both sides on target.

Next take Derby v Cardiff in the Championship. Cardiff’s match at Barnsley was featured on the weekend line and came up and both the leaders and their hosts are in decent form.

Derby have netted five in their last two home games – both wins – against Birmingham and Barnsley while five of Cardiff’s last seven have seen both score.

Stay in the Championship and go with Wolves v Millwall. Wolves have been struggling but six of their last seven have seen both score – although they have won none of those.

Millwall have scored in six of their last seven and in contrast are going well with a 2-0 win at Blackburn their latest triumph.

My fourth pick is Accrington v Rotherham in the only League Two match. Stanley have signed ex-England striker James Beattie who should be good enough to grab goals at this level and has netted penalties in his last two matches.

Four of his side’s last five have seen both net while both have netted in the last four meetings of the teams. Rotherham have an injury crisis but it didn’t stop them winning 1-0 at Exeter at the weekend. However, this is a tougher test for a defence that has conceded five to Dagenham and four to Cheltenham in recent weeks.

Complete the line by heading to the Bundesliga and a meeting between sides who netted against two of the top three at the weekend. Mainz were beaten 2-1 at home to champions Borussia Dortmund while Eintracht Frankfurt picked up a creditable 1-1 draw at Schalke.

Mainz travel to Frankfurt having netted in six of their last seven while their hosts have hit the target in five of their previous six.

Another game I looked at on the continent was Lazio v Udinese as it recently has featured loads of goals. Five of the last six encounters have seen four goals or more but what put me off slightly was the fact the Romans’ last two have been 0-0s against Spurs and Juventus and they showed a lack of adventure in both.

Both teams to score

Ross County v St Mirren

Derby v Cardiff

Wolves v Millwall

Accrington v Rotherham

Eintracht Frankfurt v Mainz (7.0)

Anton, good luck with the Championship btts. But od doesn’t have a “good chance” of coming it. It’s a long shot but I’ll be on three or four of the games so let’s hope for a lot of goals.

funny that anton, was thinking the same, ive just permed them all, every game bar 1 suggests that BTTS is likely to happen with most odds around 8/13ish, midweek games can and usually does fling up some crazy reults, fingers crossed its tonight! 😀

    • steven 5 years ago

i took the 11 selections, but 10 acca just incase 1 decides to let it down, and yes that was the game lol but then again scored no probs at the riverside so will be confident of netting again, its a long shot but does have that crazy goal look about it.

Everyone is saying Rotherham are having a crisis, Wolves are worthless and not many are backing Hull v Palace, not filling me with confidence these newspapers…lol thoughts anyone?

John, Rotherham have an injury crisis but with the same squad won at the weekend. Wolves haven’t won in seven and are struggling while Hull and Palace both lost at the weekend so it’s about which time can bounce back.

A think wolves will win the night a have them. On form not been good. Chance at home the nite to get a win an go on a good run

One O-O draw and leicester let my fourfold down tonight, the only reason i went for the Hull game was i thought palace might score and force a reaction but it never happened…onto tomorrow night i guess :-)
