Anfield, Tuesday, 8pm, live on Sky Sports LIVERPOOL have been on a downer since winning the Carling Cup Final and defeat at Sunderland at the weekend made it three in a row in the league. Anfield fans can't contemplate a fourth and with fierce rivals Everton visiting tonight Kenny Dalglish will be desperate to get back on track. However, I'm not sure I can back a side that's won two league games in 11 at a biggest 4-5 with Blue Square. Everton beat Spurs at the weekend to add their scalps to those of Chelsea and Manchester City and David Moyes’ men have drawn their last three away from home by the same 1-1 scoreline.
Anfield is the Premier League's lowest-scoring ground this season with 25 in 13 games whil Everton's 13 away games have totalled just 28 goals.
Everton are a best 17-4 at boylesports but draw at 13-5 with Skybet could be the way to go as Dalglish’s side have drawn eight of their last 13 at Anfield and two of Everton's last three trips across town have been stalemates.
So a 1-1 correct score could be the way to go and that pays 6-1 at Ladbrokes. It could be fiery and William Hill offer 11-4 on a red card being flashed.
And don't expect an early goal in a tense opening. Over 31 minutes for the deadlock to be broken pays 11-10 at William Hill.
Recommendations:
- Under 2.25 goals (1-1, bet365)
- 1st goal time over 31 mins (11-10, William Hill)
