IT'S FA Cup weekend but not for Ipswich who were bundled out by non-league Lincoln.

Mick McCarthy slammed his side for being second best over two games and will demand a massive improvement for today's Championship trip to Preston.

Ipswich have won one out of five and travel to a side with one defeat in five and whose cup exit was much more dignified – a last-minute defeat to Arsenal.

Preston followed up a home win against leaders Brighton by battling back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Aston Villa.

They look a great bet at evens with Marathonbet to make Mick even more sick.

Elsewhere in the Championship I like Norwich at 3-4 with bet365 at home to Birmingham. Alex Neil's side are clinging to play-off hopes thanks to nine wins out of 13 at Carrow Road and should beat a City side who have lost four out of five.

There are 11 FA Cup clashes today and as usual team news is key – much more than it is in the Scottish Cup.

Liverpool were given a scare by Plymouth in the last round, winning 1-0 away after a 0-0 draw at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp, knocked out of the EFL Cup by Southampton in midweek, is likely to field a similar sort of his side to the ones that faces the Pilgrims and his second string could be tested by Paul Lambert's Wolves.

It's asking a lot of the Championship side to win but they if Plymouth can draw so can they. Wolves not to lose pays 11-4 at Paddy Power.

Chelsea will rotate and should beat Brentford at home while Man City can win at a Crystal Palace side surely putting all efforts on avoiding the drop. The double pays 5-6 at bet365.

Southampton were superb at Anfield but may pay the price and struggle to live with Arsenal who are 23-20 at bet365 to win at St Mary's and avenge their League Cup defeat.

A second-string Spurs should be too strong for Wycombe and likewise Burnley can take care of Bristol City at home even if they rotate.

If there's a shock today it could be at Oxford who welcome Newcastle. Oxford have won four out of five, scoring 14 goals, while Rafael Benitez is more interested in promotion. To win the League One men are 4-1 at William Hill and 23-20 at bet365 not to lose.

Sutton's glory run should be ended by Leeds and I'm on the Championship side -1 at 9-5 with Stan James. If he starts take Chris Wood to score first at 16-5 with Marathonbet.

Just a note about an in-form striker in League One. James Vaughan has rammed in six goals in two games for Bury and is 5-1 at Paddy Power to score first against Walsall.

In League take Yeovil v Doncaster for goals and back Crawley at 11-5 at Stan James at Notts County. I also fancy Exeter at 4-1 with BetBright to shock Portsmouth but I'll keep the draw on side.

On Sunday Millwall could claim the scalp of another Premier League team when Watford visit. They battered Bournemouth 3-0 in the previous round and again face a side likely to be much weakened. The Lions are 6-4 at bet365.
