MYSELF and Ace have posted outright tips and I've picked out a couple of match bets for day one.
Picking winners of twoballs and threeballs is always risky because players are not playing against each other – they're playing the course.
There's nothing one player can do to stop another shooting a better score. And of course a tie is possible with some bookies voiding those bets.
Having said that I've had some decent success in Majors on twoballs and they'll come after the cut. For now here are some threeballs and the one I like best is Callum Shinkwin to beat Zander Lombard and Ryan Evans in the final group out.
England's Shinkwin has burst on to the scene this season with some spectacular rounds. He qualified for The Open by finishing fifth in the French Open and fired a final-round 65 at Castle Stuart last Sunday to clinch eighth place in the Scottish Open so he knows how to play links golf.
2+ goals tipster Desmond used to be a member of Shinkwin's Moor Park course and tells me he is a big-hitter, fearless with a massive future. I've seen a couple of so-called golf experts tipping Shinkwin each way at 300-1 but it would be a bigger surprise than Red Imps the other night if he finished top of the pile.
However, on current form he should outscore his playing partners and is 7-5 at Betfred to do so.
I've tipped Dustin Johnson to win and hopefully he makes a good start. I'm surprised to see him as big as 23-20 at bet365 to see off Martin Kaymer and Scots contender Russell Knox.
Like Shinkwin, England's Tyrell Hatton impressed at Castle Stuart and finished runner-up to Alex Noren to clinch his Open spot. Unlike Shinkwin he's not an Open rookie and should score lower than Harold Varner and Oskar Arvidsson in the penultimate group to tee off.
Sergio Garcia is another of my outright choices and I'm on him to beat Anirban Lahiri and Keegan Bradley.
All can be done as singles but I'm advising trebles and fourfolds for low stakes.
