AT first glance Saturday's coupon looks a tough one to crack. It's Super Sunday in England with Arsenal v Leicester and Man City v Spurs and hopefully we can bet on those games with bookies' money.
My first run through the coupon saw me mark up a pile of draws – especially in England's top two tiers – and that's always bad news.
The Alloa v Rangers bet is interesting as under 2.5 goals pays 23-10 at McBookie. Alloa are narrowing their plastic pitch to deny the Ibrox side space and the last time they did this they lost 1-0 to Falkirk in a pretty dull game.
Southampton to keep a clean sheet is in there as well with Fraser Forster not conceding in five since his return from injury. He has to be beaten sometime but will it be by Swansea?
I'd have Spurs and maybe Leicester draw no bet if they were being played on Saturday.
I know some people will fancy Ross County at Celtic at a fancy price – as big as 12-1 – but they played midweek and were well beaten and it's almost a must-win for Hoops boss Ronny Deila.
So here's my top-10 shortlist – these are priced at evens or above and take in form and stats but team news won't be checked until Friday.
Let me know what you think and if there are any sides who shouldn't be there. At this stage I've no idea what my pick will be – and of course it could be something I've not initially listed.
Super Single Shortlist
BOURNEMOUTH v Stoke
EVERTON -1 v West Brom
SOUTHAMPTON clean sheet at Swansea
Blackburn v HULL
Gillingham v BARNSLEY
Scunthorpe v SOUTHEND
Hartlepool v YEOVIL
Alloa v Rangers under 2.5 goals
BRECHIN v Cowdenbeath
ANNAN -1 v Montrose
Mr f would northampton not warrant a spot on the shortlist?
U cn post it if u are sure
bs198155, it’s only a shortlist of 10 – Northampton are in great form but won’t get it easy at Orient.
True…big price at 2/1
Nothing to talk about yesterday as all the valuable games came in.
Today is Thursday, and it’s quiet as usual. I have no valuable match today, all I have is just predictions which may land or not.
1. Spain Copa del Rey
Celta Vigo – Sevilla – 1x
2. Turkiye Kupasi
Basaksehir Fk – Caykur Rizespor – 1x
3. Brazil Paulista, Serie A1 –
Xv De Piracicaba – Ec Agua Santa Sp – 1x
4. England U21 Premier League – Manchester Utd U21 – Manchester City U21 – 1x
ive got Hull (a) and Forest Green (a) as 2 on my shortlist and looked at Hamilton at home 9/5 against Dundee Utd
A few youve posted had already caught my eye like Barnsley and Hull, also interested in Northampton DNB @ about 11/10 and Peterhead { mentioned them last weekend to score over 1.5 at ayr which duly came in} this week i have to fancy them on the -1 handicap @ 11/10 most firms, score 3+ @ 5/4 or for something just to add to a treble etc take them to win/over 1.5 @ 4/7 paddypower, been banging the goals in lately and cant see the same being prevented against a very poor Forfar.
If that’s the case with Alloa will be on that bet.Newcastle can win at Chelsea and Ayr at Dunfermline both around 5/1. Will be on the 3 aways on Super Sun in some way or another.
Coventry at home to bury are worth a shout – bury on a bad run and rumblings of managerial changes – at a shade under evens it looks OK to me
kingdingaling, totally agree about Coventry – let’s see what Hullshaker has to say.
Blackburn v HULL
Hull are a banker
