I HAD planned to go for goals today on what was a fairly tricky Scottish card – and which is now a restricted card.
I was delighted when they named a storm after Desmond but didn’t realise it would wreak so much havoc.
Planned inspections at Celtic Park and Tynecastle knocked out those games and Partick Thistle v Motherwell and quickly followed. Only Dundee v Aberdeen (early KO), Ross County v St Johnstone and Kilmarnock v Dundee United go ahead.
In the Championship the only game to beat the weather is Alloa v Dumbarton while in League One Dunfermline v Brechin has survived.
Dunfermline haven’t been as prolific of late as they were earlier in the season but should cover the -1 handicap at home to Brechin and are 8-11 at Paddy Power to do so.
Albion Rovers v Stranraer is not surprisingly off in League One, East Stirling v Clyde has gone in League Two while Lothian Thistle v Huntly and Wick v Linlithgow have been washed out in the Scottish Cup.
Annan should see off Inverurie at home to in their replay. They drew 4-4 last weekend with Locos levelling straight from kick-off in injury time as Neil McLean dribbled his way to the byeline then saw his cross loop over the keeper’s head. Annan have conceded nine in four so both should score again and that pays 3-4 at Betway.
Stenhousemuir survived last week after fighting back from 2-0 down at home to draw with Lowland League East Kilbride. They are 4-5 at Ladbrokes to get it right at the second attempt.
