DEC 13: SCOTTISH FOOTBALL BETTING PREVIEW

celticvhearts

AFTER my success with Queen of the South yesterday I’m hoping to land more winners in Scotland today.

Ironically I put Queens as a Super Single on Wednesday in case the 4-1 price shortened but in fact before kick-off they drifted with people getting 5-1 and 9-2.

This was explained by the fact non-Scots will back Rangers blindly without knowing anything about their opposition and also people thought players would lift their game for boss Ally McCoist who handed in his one-year’s notice on the morning of the match.

At the end of the day Queens won comfortably with an impressive performance. The result gave Hearts a chance of moving 12 points clear at the top by winning at Cowdenbeath today but that game has been postponed sue to a frozen pitch.

In the Championship Hibs have drawn their last five home matches and Alloa their last three on the road. Consider a score draw at 9-2 with William Hill.

In the Premier League the big game is the New Firm derby between Dundee United and Aberdeen. United destroyed the Dons 3-0 at Pittodrie in the first game of the season and are unbeaten at home in the league.

However, it promises to be close affair with on-form Aberdeen losing just one of their last five visits to Tannadice. I fancy a score draw so best bet could be over 2.5 goals at 7-8 with 888sport. Nadir Ciftci has netted in five of the seven home clashes and is 9-5 at Ladbrokes to notch again.

Promoted sides Hamilton and Dundee meet at New Douglas and there should be some slapping of backs after fine first halves to the campaign. Accies’ form has dipped since they topped the table with just one win in seven – and none against Dundee in five meetings. Dundee draw no bet could be the shout at 5-4 with William Hill.

Inverness are also unbeaten at home this season and should see off Partick Thistle. John Hughes’s side are a best 8-11 at McBookie and others.

My Super Single is St Johnstone at a Kilmarnock side who ended a run of five defeats with a draw at Partick last week. St Johnstone have won four of their last five and Michael O’Halloran has scored in all four victories.

Saints can edge this at a best 9-5 with bet365 and Ladbrokes and O’Halloran to score in an away success is 9-2. He is 15-2 at bet365 to break the deadlock and 11-4 at bet365 to net.

Motherwell have won their last four against Ross County and are 13-10 at McBookie to make it five.
