A mouthwatering encounter between two top-four rivals will take place in the Premier League on Thursday night, as Tottenham Hotspur play host to Arsenal.

These two North London foes are fighting it out for a much-coveted spot in next season's Champions League.

Four successive wins have lifted Arsenal into pole position in the race for fourth place, the most recent of which was a 2-1 success over Leeds, on an afternoon where I delivered a clean sweep of winners.

That means Mikel Arteta's men know that a victory on Thursday night would stamp their ticket to Europe's top table for the first time since Arsene Wenger's departure.

Tottenham, meanwhile, head into this all-London affair off the back of a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday night.

Antonio Conte's team will take pride from their performance last time out but it does mean they have fallen four points behind the Gunners with just three rounds of fixtures left to play.

Outright Betting

Tottenham Hotspur, who have triumphed in five of their last six home matches with Arsenal, enter this crunch clash as 22/19 favourites with SBK.

September's reverse fixture between the pair ended in an Arsenal victory and the same outcome here can be backed at a best 5/2 (SBK) while a point apiece has been priced up at 45/17 (SBK).

Betting Angles

Tottenham will have their backers at the above-mentioned price but I would rather take the even-money (PaddyPower) on offer about the hosts scoring two or more goals on Thursday night.

Spurs have improved dramatically as an attacking force since Antonio Conte took the reins, with the hosts slamming in 29 goals across their last 11 league games, averaging 2.6 goals per-game.

What's more, the Lilywhites have struck at least twice in nine of their last 13 top-flight outings, including four of their last five Premier League home matches.

Whilst Arsenal are undoubtedly in the top-four box seat, their rearguard has been far from reliable in recent months, with the Gunners failing to shut out their opponents in each of their last eight league outings.

It's also worth pointing out that Mikel Arteta's men have conceded two or more goals in no fewer than five of their last eight Premier League encounters, which doesn't bode well when you consider Spurs' are amongst the top goalscorers in the division since the turn of the year.

With all that in mind, as well as the hosts undoubtedly being in greater need of the points, siding with over one Tottenham goal holds appeal at even-money with PaddyPower.

Elsewhere, there's no shortage of the usual suspects to go into the referee's notebook in the player card market but it may pay to go against the grain and take a value price in Rodrigo Bentancur at 3/1 with Bet 365.

The combative midfielder has been cautioned six times in 15 outings across all competitions since arriving at Spurs in January and he looks a big price to be booked here given that he will be involved in a fiery midfield battle.
