TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR will be targeting back-to-back wins in the Premier League for the first time in nearly two months when they face Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Friday night.

Ange Postecoglou’s side snapped their five-game winless run in style last Sunday with a 4-1 win over Newcastle, in a game that brought up my recommended Bet Builder.

That success means Spurs are currently sitting in fourth spot in the Premier League table, just three points behind fourth-placed Man City.

Aiming to build on last weekend’s victory, Postecoglou and co will look to file another three points at Nottingham Forest on Friday night.

Having lost four league games on the spin ahead of last week’s visit to Wolves, Steve Cooper’s side managed to arrest an alarming run of form with a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Molineux.

The Tricky Trees are currently five points above the Premier League relegation zone so they will be keen to give themselves some more breathing space by triumphing against Tottenham.

Outright Betting

Nottingham Forest have lost their last two Premier League home games and a hat-trick of losses could lie in wait if the bookies’ odds are anything to go by, with the hosts trading at 15/4 (Bet 365) while the draw is an unfancied 16/5 (Bet 365).

Despite picking up just one point from their last two Premier League away games, Tottenham Hotspur are odds-on 4/6 favourites at Bet 365

Betting Angles

Tottenham are too skinny for my liking on Friday night so I’ll instead head to the Bet Builder and back both Orel Mangala and Cristian Romero to commit a foul at 10/11 (Bet 365.

The City Ground is one of the Premier League’s most atmospheric venues and a Friday night fixture with Tottenham under the lights promises to be lively.

Nottingham Forest midfielder Orel Mangala has been booked four times this season in the Premier League, the joint-most of any player in Steve Copper’s squad since the start of the campaign.

What’s more, the box-to-box Belgian is averaging 1.3 fouls per-game in the top-flight this term, getting on the wrong side of the referee at least once in 13 of his 15 outings.

As for Spurs centre-half Cristian Romero, he has already served a suspension in the Premier League this season due to his ill-discipline, and  he was fortunate to escape further punishment in last weekend’s 4-1 pasting of Newcastle.

The hot-headed Argentine has tackled his way into trouble at least once in six of his last nine Premier League appearances so a solitary misdemeanour doesn’t look like too big of an ask during this televised tussle.

On a similar line of reasoning to the above, I'll also back the aforementioned Mangala to commit two or more fouls at 6/5 with Bet 365.

This bet would have paid out in Forest’s draw with Wolves last weekend and the same selection looks worthy of interest on Friday night given the pace and flair that Ange Postecoglou’s side possess in forward areas.
