LIVERPOOL can relax as they finish their Champions League group campaign against Midtjylland, with a place in the last 16 and top spot already guaranteed.

A nervy 1-0 win against Ajax (below) last time out took all the pressure off, in a match where our man Slips Tips cashed in by backing a Reds victory and some cards for the Dutchmen.

So Jurgen Klopp will surely rest some of his big hitters amidst a demanding run of games in the build-up to an even busier festive period.

Despite suffering a spate of injuries, the English champions have stayed in good form, with Sunday's 4-0 win over Wolves moving them level on points with Tottenham at the top of the Premier League.

I fancied Wolves to get some joy against a Liverpool defence missing some key players and keeper Alisson but the Reds kept a clean sheet in a hugely impressive display.

So even with Klopp's big guns likely to get a breather here the Reds should have enough quality in reserve to see off a FC Midtjylland side who will finish bottom of the section even if they win here.

How the bookies view it

Liverpool would normally be odds-on for a game like this but with Klopp set to make changes you can get them at 15/13 with SportNation and I will have a punt at that price. The Danes are 13/5 with SBK while the stalemate pays 3/1 at Betfred.

Team news

Trent Alexander Arnold returned from injury against Wolves but Klopp (below) still has Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Alisson missing from his backline. Midfielders Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner are also injured while Thiago is a doubt.

Former Celtic stopper Erik Sviatchenko returns from suspension for Midtjylland but they are without Krisian Riis, Oliver Olsen and Jens Cajuste.

Players to watch

Divock Origi should start up front for Liverpool and loves a goal in the Champions League. The Belgian is 23/10 with Paddy Power for anytime scorer and that looks decent value.

Winger Awer Mabil scored from the spot when Midtjylland lost 3-1 to Ajax. As a penalty taker, he looks overpriced at 5/1 with Paddy Power for a goal here.

Anything else catch the eye?

I got my fingers burned backing Liverpool's makeshift defence to concede against Wolves and they have kept clean sheets in five of their last six Champions League matches.  Another shut-out here pays 9/4 at William Hill but that bet may be a little risky with Klopp set to ring the changes.

There was a penalty when these sides faced off at Anfield, netted by Mo Salah to seal a 2-0 win, so try backing another spot-kick to be awarded at 17/10 with 888Sport.
