ARSENAL'S revival continues to gather pace and they can make it five wins in a row when Crystal Palace come calling for an intriguing Premier League encounter.

The Gunners needed extra-time to see of Newcastle in the FA Cup at the weekend but still got the job done with a 2-0 victory as two of my tips came up.

The pressure has lifted on boss Mikel Arteta and he will be targeting maximum points from the next two league games, with this clash against the Eagles followed by another home match against Newcastle.

Crystal Palace have proven a tough nut to crack for Arsenal in recent seasons and are unbeaten in their last four meetings, with one win and three draws.

But Roy Hodgson's men are in poor form heading to the Emirates, with just one victory in their last six games and even that came against rock-bottom Sheffield United.

How the bookies view it

Despite their poor recent record in this fixture, Arsenal are heavy favourites at a best 3/5 with SBK while Crystal Palace are as big 29/5 with the same firm. Three of the last four meetings have been draws and the stalemate here pays 10/3 at Sporting Index.

Recent head to head

Arsenal haven't beaten the Eagles since January 2018 when they eased to a 4-1 victory at the Emirates. But they were bossing the fixture before that, going 17 unbeaten since Palace's 2-1 win at Highbury in 1994.

Last season we saw a 2-2 draw at the Emirates (below) before the sides battled out a 1-1 draw across London later in the campaign.

Players to watch

Alexandre Lacazette has played a key role in Arsenal's renaissance with five goals in his last five games. The Frenchman is 6/5 with Paddy Power for another goal here and 7/2 with the same firm to break the deadlock.

Palace midfielder Luka Milivojevic loves a goal against the Gunners and has netted against them five times. He's 9/1 with Unibet for a goal but is a fitness doubt so Wilf Zaha may be a safer bet for a Palace scorer at 15/4 with Sporting Index.

Anything else catch the eye?

Midfielder Thomas Partey is available again for the Gunners after a month out with a thigh problem and defender Gabriel could also feature.

Crystal Palace have major problems in defence with Mamadou Sakho and Martin Kelly crocked while Gary Cahill and Scott Dann are doubts. That could see midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate forced to fill in as centre back so it may pay to back some Arsenal goals.

Over 1.5 Gunners strikes is 4/6 at Betfred while the odds increase to 2/1 with Bet365 for over 2.5 Arsenal goals.

There were seven yellows and one red across the two meetings last season so I also like the look of the 11/8 McBookie offer on over 3.5 cards.

Zaha's pace could cause Arsenal trouble on the break and he's a tempting 5/6 with Paddy Power to have one or more right-foot shots on target.
