DESMOND is hoping for fireworks on Saturday and some cracking goal action from the teams he's picked to score.
He says: “ON FA Cup first-round day there is a tough set of fixtures but two teams I like the look of are Newcastle and Hibs.
“The Magpies take on Cardiff City at home and it would be a brave man who bets against them getting all 3 points but I'm happy to take the 8-13 on offer from Ladbrokes on them scoring 2+ goals to add to their 10 in their last four and 10 in four previous home games.
“You have to fear the worst for Cardiff who haven't kept a clean sheet since the opening game of the season.
“Next up are Hibs away to Ayr United. Leaders Hibs will be looking to make amends for their only defeat this season (as long as they keep 11 men on the park) when they went down 2-1 at home to the Honest Men.
“I fancy hibs here to score 2+ goals at 4-6 against their part-time opposition.”
