EVERYBODY'S been reading the riot act to Reading after they busted a load of lines last night.

My Super Single – my only bet in fact – was Reading to beat QPR but watching the game they never looked at the races and Rangers notched a deserved 1-0 win.

Greg's main bet landed with a last-gasp Celta Vigo winner and Jordan's Aussie tip also came up – and he's posted Friday's on goal kings Top Oss. Plenty of people will focus on goals in the Dutch second tier and I'm sure Greg will put up tips later on his favourite Ligue 2.

There is another tough Championship match tonight and that's Leeds v Derby. Both sides have been in good form and with Leeds short of defenders both to score could be the way to go.

As some of the foreign leagues return we have Lille v St Etienne as one of the highlights. As usual on a Friday my focus is on my Saturday column and tips in the Daily Record but I'm putting up one bet.

I'm leaving out the Leeds game – it could go either way – and while I'd favour Lille it's not one I'd back if there was a bigger card.

So my Super Single (it's just a tag for best bet) is a goals treble from Holland starting of course with Top Oss v Dordrecht. Not much do add here that's not already been said but the main stat is 91 league goals in Oss's 19 matches – and 15 of the last 16 seeing both score.

To take this bet above evens I'm adding over 1.5 match goals at Cambuur v VVV Venlo and in the top flight between Go Ahead Eagles and AZ Alkmaar. Both have been tipped by people on the site who know these leagues better than me and if you fancy another Dutch treble over the weekend check out Mr Orange's excellent write-up and tips.

3pts Super Single (all 7pm)

Top Oss v Dordrecht over 2.5 goals

Cambuur v VVV Venlo over 1.5 goals

Go Ahead v AZ over 1.5 goals

(11-10, Coral)

Only tip yesterday was a winner with the match between Raufoss and Elverum finishing 2-2.
Interesting what the experts on the Dutch Eerste Divisie and the French Ligue come up with today. I have done research on some more obscure selections

Have been backing matches of PVF Vietnam u19 for quite some time now. They rarely let me down.
Their opponent HO Chi Minh were very solid at the back last year but this season they have started conceding quite a few while still scoring.

    07:30 KO
    Vietnam u19 league
PVF Vietnam u19 vs. Ho Chi Minh u19
    Over 1.5 first half goals
    Over 4.5 match goals

    ——————————————————————————————–
Head2head says it all really. Three times they have met in friendlies in the past years with big scorelines everytime: 6-0 5-1 3-2.
WDSC Wolves love to score goals but concede many. Against higher class Moreton Bay United they should get punished.

    10:30 KO
    Australian friendly
WDSC Wolves vs. Moreton Bay United
    Over 1.5 first half goals
    Over 3.5 match goals
    ——————————————————————————————–
Valerengen finally decides to take a bit easier opposition to start their preparation for the new season. Recent years they played friendlies against a lot better sides.
I’ve read They will give all their players a chance in this game. Meanwhile asker are favourites for promotion in the 3d division and have shown to be able to score 2+ against bigger clubs before.
Earlier meetings between these two have resulted in 1-8 and 2-3 scorelines. Also a big positive in my opionion that this game will be played on an indoor field.

    11:30 KO
    Norwegian friendly
    Asker vs. Valerengen IF
    over 1.5 first half goals
    over 3.5 match goals
    ——————————————————————————————–

In the evening there are two Icelandic women games and there’s one that I like.
Game will be played indoor wich is something I like. Last year they played in this cup it ended 7-0 in favour of Valur. Valur should score atleast 5 goals but I also fancy IR’s chances to score. IR did well last year in the second division and I think they are capable of netting one this time.

    20:00 KO
    Reykjavik Womens Cup
    Valur vs. ÍR Reykjavik
    over 1.5 first half goals
    over 4.5 match goals

    As always best of luck.

p.s. no odds available yet, Odds will appear in-play just before kick off.

Not the best of days for me on here. The Australian and Norwegian games letting me down today finishing 0-1 and 0-2. The odds for the Vietnamese game were quite nice, expected the goalline to be set at 4.5 but it was actually set at 3.5 so I took that. The game finished 4-0 with the first half goals coming in too wich was nice. The Icelandic women game is looking great so far, the score is 2-0 in the 16th minute. Had to take over 2.5fhg and over 5.5 match goals there tho. Let’s hope that one will come in to end with only a small loss. @jordan I’m from The Netherlands.

Nice end to the day game finished 6-0 (HT 5-0). Don’t think many were on because bet365 didn’t bring the game live wich is sad.

SAN MARTIN DE MONDOZA VS. GIMNASIA MONDOZA (In-play):

Not a fan of betting on friendlies for obvious reasons but just following this one for the opening 30 minutes and it is end to end stuff.

With an hour to go I can’t see there not being goals so quite like the look of OVER 1.5 MGS at 6/5 ?

  4. craneguy 7 years ago

probably just me but for those following doublechance on the £100-£10k challenge numbers don’t look correct to me already claiming to be +£92.85 on bet 2 but………

    bet one £100 LOST
bet two £100 WON winning £92.85
    bet 3 £100 pending

I make that £300 out to date returned £92.85 ie down £207.15

if said bet 2 wins (actually bet 3) will return £331.48 and will therefore be either + £31.48 or – £300 not + £331.48

Heading over to Qatar this afternoon where al sadd face lekhwiya. Top against second and a match that is sure to see goals. Still no btts/overs market yet but if it appears I will be jumping straight on o2.5 and 3.5. The last 7 h2hs have seen the btts o2.5 come in and the last 6 have seen btts o3.5. Current odds with sky bet for o3.5 mgls is 11/10 which I feel is pretty generous when you look at how the 2 teams are performing at the minute. Both scoring for fun. Will wait until the morning to place but three to consider are over 3.5 mgls. Btts/o2.5 and btts/o3.5 if those markets appear. Good luck all with your bets today

  6. HullShaker 7 years ago

Matrix, good to see some shared interest in the Icelandic leagues – I largely left the Nordic women alone last season (with a face like mine it would more likely be the other way round) but catch the right games and it can be like hitting the goals-jackpot!

Two other games that currently have limited markets but hold massive interest for me are:

    CARENARFON TOWN VS. DENBIGH TOWN

    and

ST ANNE’S RANGERS VS. POINT FORTIN

Both games ought to be primed for goals and I’ll put up a post and reasoning tomorrow afternoon as soon as prices are up and have the time.

    ****************************

    DERBY VS. LEEDS:

Derby’s home form isn’t best and Leeds will remember well their 1-2 victory at the I-Pro last season to end a hideous run of form.

There’s certainly potential for the Yorkshire side to come away with something from this game albeit probably not the full 3 points.

They may not be the most rounded squad but Garry Monk has galvanised his troops and they certainly have the mettle and resilience to grind out a tough 90 minutes.

For all their recent ups and downs though, The Rams have quality throughout their side and this one will most likely be decided by a battle across the middle of the park.

Tough one to call but my money is on the following selections:

    BTTS…10/11
    ????

    DRAW…21/10
    ??

    CORRECT SCORE 1-1…9/2
    ?

Best of luck with all bets ?

Over 2.5 goals treble for me to kickstart he weekend. Heading to the middle east in the afternoon for two games. My friends in Kuwait are normally ones who don’t let me down. Kazma V Arabi play each other in the cup , in a different cup competition earlier in the season it finished 3-2. Over 2.5 goals in priced at EVENS today.

Second selection is in Qatar, @noob-gambler has already gave the reasons why above, only priced at 21/40 but watch out for O3.5 as he mentioned inplay.

Final game everyone favourite goalscoring dutch team FC OSS are back in league action.

  9. kierons 7 years ago

Morning! Finally we are getting back to the full schedule of games and the Dutch leagues are hopefully goal crazy again.

I’m starting off with Go Ahead vs AZ.
Go ahead currently sit rock bottom of the conceding 29 in their last 14, will the winter break, the addition of Arsenals Dan Crowley and two players from Liverpool and Brightons u23 squads change their fortune? I very much doubt it. of the last 7 match ups AZ have scored twice 6/7 times so you can see where I’m going here Go ahead on average conceded 2 per game 6/7 times AZ have scored 2 past go ahead on the flip side of that AZ can’t defend for the life of them, conceding in 5/6 of their last home and 5/6 of their last away matches in fact the only two they had clean sheets against were in the cup against 4th division ASHW and Dundalk.

    AZ over 1.5 tgs 4/6
    Over 2.5 13/20
    Over 2.5 btts 20/21
Atgs Wouter Weghorst (bagged a brace past them last time out)

    Simple…….
Will Oss score 2 I would say yes, will they conceded? They always do.

Oss match goals Over 2.5 btts 8/13
    AZ match goals over 2.5
    Double 1.66/1

    Good luck!

    Posted A league bet yesterday,
    Melbourne victory
    Sydney
    Win double 1.87/1
Said to get on quick as the odds would drop, it’s now 1.77/1
These are the 2 form teams in the league at the moment and both should pick up the 3 points at home. The victory face a roar side whose only away wins in the last dozen matches have came against the mariners who are the worst team in the league, while victory have had 7 wins in the last 8.
Sydney in great form too, unbeaten in the league 5 wins in last 6 and face a wsw in poor form. Fancy both teams to bet at least twice as well and recent form backs it up with both managing this 5 times in the last 6 matches.
    Victory over 1.5
    Sydney over 1.5

    Victory v Brisbane

Can see this being a pretty tight encounter with both teams reasonably secure at the back (as far as Oz teams go).

With Brisbane being a little goal shy and given Victory’s great run of form I’m happy to risk a win to nil at a pretty tasty 2/1.

Berisha is too odds on for my liking so instead I’ll side with another player who has served me well with 6 in his last 7. Marco Rojas ATGS 6/4.

    Good luck folks

A couple of interesting movements in the Eredivisie and Jupiler League during the winter break. Heerenveen have managed to get Real Madrid wonderkid Odegaard on loan till 2018. PSV have signed Van Ginkel on loan from Chelsea again. Rock bottom Go Ahead Eagles have done some business by bringing in Elvis Manu (Reading), Daniel Crowley (Arsenal) and Pedro Chirivella (Liverpool) on loan. And we have some familiar faces coming back in the league with Buttner (Vitesse), Labyad (Utrecht) and Assaidi (Twente).

Some big names have entered the infamous Jupiler League. Fortuna Sittard have signed Sunday Oliseh as their new head coach and Edgar Davids has a coach internship at Telstar. NAC have a new coach and have signed Manu Garcia (Man City) on loan. They are a good price to win on Monday, put I will look at that game during the weekend.

Below are my Dutch bets for over the weekend. I already posted the Ajax bet 2 weeks ago and the price now has gone to 1.50

    Dutch Jupiler League:

    Cambuur v VVV Venlo (Friday)

VVV Venlo face a long trip (for Dutch standards) to Leeuwarden to play Cambuur tonight. Relegated Cambuur made a slow start to the season, but after sacking the coach they have picked up and got some good results including a fine win over Ajax in the cup. Cambuur saw a total of 21 goals in their last 5 games, scoring 13. That’s more than a third of their total of 33 goals. 9 of their 9 home games saw BTTS, with the last 7 going over 2.5

Cambuur have done some fine business by bringing in creative winger Tissoudali, who was also wanted by some Eredivisie teams. Cambuur only miss Peersman in defence due to suspension, but have the rest of the squad fit. League leaders VVV have a full squad available, they have a good defence, but I can’t see them keeping a clean sheet up north. Cambuur trainer Hulshoff said in the press conference they will play full on the attack. The stats say BTTS is very much possible and with Cambuur playing all or nothing I can see atleast 3 goals in this game.

    Over 2.5 goals @ 1.73 with Marathonbet

    Dutch Eredivisie:

    PEC Zwolle v Ajax

Poor Zwolle are in a relegation battle from the start of the season and have the worst defence in the league, conceding 34 goals in 17 games. I don’t think Zwolle fans are looking forward to this game when they see the line-up. Defenders Schenkeveld and Van Polen (captain) are suspended. Midfielder Holla is also suspended and one of their most experienced players Wout Brama has gone to Utrecht during the winter break. Ajax have the best shot stats in the league (home and away) and their best midfielder Ziyech was not selected (!) for Morocco in the Africa Cup squad. Ajax won the reverse fixture 5-1. I am quite sure Ajax are going to win this game. There is no value in the straight win or team goal markets, so I am backing them -1 on the asian handicap with the chance of a refund if they win by 1.

    Ajax -1 asian handicap @ 1.82 with Unibet / 888 (best available now @ 1.50)

    Heracles v Groningen

Big price for goals in this mid table clash in Almelo on Saturday night. I don’t why odds are so big, the only thing I can think of is because the reverse fixture was a 0-0 draw. Both teams averaging more than 2.5 goals a game. Besides the reverse fixture Heracles only failed to score against Ajax , Feyenoord and Utrecht. Groningen failed to score against Ajax, Heerenveen, PSV and Feyenoord, all quality sides. One interesting stat is that Heracles and Groningen are number 1 and 2 on the list of most shots conceded per game. I think both will score on Saturday which should lead to some goals. The 0-0 in September was a rare result in the list of H2H’s between these two, with 12 of the last 15 going over 2.5

    Over 2.5 match goals @ 1.87 with Unibet / 888

    Tomorrow – Australia A-League – 6:35AM

Like yesterday I fancied a struggling Adelaide to get something out of their game against Melbourne City, and that they did with 3 points against the favoured City. Tomorrow morning I fancy the same thing, but maybe not a victory for the Mariners. They travel to New Zealand with two defeats against the Phoenix already this season, failing to score, but recent performances suggest to me that that may change. Last week they took league leaders Sydney FC all the way to the final whistle in a 3-2 defeat. Sydney were lucky as a missed penalty for the Mariners proved costly, and their two goals were just the 6th and 7th goal Sydney FC had conceded in 14 games this season. They also held Melbourne City to a 2-2 draw the match prior, but I won’t read too much into that as yesterday proved their defensive futility.

Despite their defensive woes, they hold the best pass accuracy in the A-League and have one of the leagues goalscorers in Cork native Roy O’Donovan, who has 7 goals this season (3 in 4). They also have a decent scoring record in Wellington, netting in 9 of their last 10, only failing most recently despite bossing possession.

Wellington will be without their top scorer, Fijian Roy Krishna who was sent off against Perth last time out. That should be a good sign for Kiwi Shane Smeltz who is returning to the ground where he launched his A-League career. He showed signs that he’s still got it last week and probably has no better chance to score against tomorrow’s opposition.

    Wellington Phoenix/Central Coast Mariners BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals @ 5/6 @ Skybet/Coral – 3 points

    Shane Smeltz/Roy O’Donovan Anytime Scorer Double @ 11/2 @ Skybet – 0.5 a point

ged72 worth noting though that Brest has won less than half their away games this season (P9 – W4 D4-L1) and have not kept a clean sheet away from home in their last five games. Also they have only won 10 out of 19 games all season. 13 out of Orleans 15 league points have come at home… their home form is the only reason why the are not miles adrift at the bottom of the league. Fancy a score draw here tbh Bet365 giving BTTS & Draw @ 4.33.

    • ged72 7 years ago

Fair point mate. As I said it could be decent value. Will only be if they win. Personally I always think a top side should beat a bottom side to try an keep the chasers at bay. Good luck with your bet.

    • Jordan 7 years ago

@ged72 – Brest to score before 62:00 could be the value there, like my Levante pick the other night, but I know little about Ligue 2.

@mr-fixit – Had a feeling you’d have the Oss game in today’s tips in one way or another. No less than 5.2 goals per home game this season. It’s enough to make @gregbrowning pack his bags and relocate to Oss, Holland :D

Afternoon gents – it was another good day yesterday with over 1.5 second half goals and a goal after 76 mins landing in the Celta Vigo game! My best tip yesterday was deciding no bet in the Shanghai game as I couldn’t get team news and they had drifted ( they ended up losing 1-0)

My two favourite Friday night leagues are in action from Framce and Holland so it’s no surprise tonight bets come from here!

    Troyes v Ajaccio KO 7pm

As I often repeat, some of the teams in this league simply can’t buy a win away from home! Step forward Ajaccio – brutal is describing their say form kindly! A solitary win in 37 away games -and just two wins in their last 45 games! That’s less than one win a season! They travel to play a Troyes side who sit just 3 points off the top and like a lot of French sides do all of their good work at home ( just one defeat in 26 homes games is pretty solid) as you know I’m goals man and I haven’t posted anything other goal bets in 2017 but il taking the home side to win here at a decent price given they are strong at home and Ajaccio struggle on the road

    BREST v ORLEANS

Have had a look at this one and these are the picks I fancy. As has already been mentioned, Orleans are capable of scoring, although Brest shouldbe looking to win. 2 or 3 goals covers a few likely scorelines, 1-1, 1-2 etc. I’m thinking Orleans could grab one but perhaps not 2 gainst the league leaders. 2nd half has been the higher scoring in 7/10 of Orleans home league games and 3/5 of Brest last away league games. Hedging my bets slightly but finding it hard to choose my favourites out of these and hopefully cover will be available if things go to plan. I guess the 2-3 goals bet should really carry the biggest stake:

    2 or 3 goals 20/21
    Highest scoring half 2nd 6/5
Orleans exactly 1 goal 6/4 (Coral)
    Brest exactly 2 goals 10/3
Brest exactly 1 second half goal 33/20 (Coral)
    Brest AH 0.0 @ 1.975 (vs 1.83 for DNB!)
For the adventurous, exactly 2 SHGL’s could be worth a small punt @ 3/1

These are Bet365 unless stated. My main stakes will be on the regulars tips, but I think these hold some value. GL all.

  39. nathanufton 7 years ago

Just been having a scan at everyone else’s thoughts pre-Leeds v Derby and it appears everyone is about where I am on this one which is a plus.

BTTS is the only thing I’d consider dropping anything on in this game. Leeds form going into this match is about where Derby’s was 3 weeks ago and in Derby’s last 5 league matches, our form has been a bit stretched. 2 wins, 2 draws and a 3 nil away loss at Norwich. We were lacking the bite from Will Hughes in that Norwich game, who started the first of his 2 match ban for hitting 10 yellows. Wow, did we miss him. I know we’ve had a terrific 2.5 months ending with some distinctly average recent results, but derby have actually been playing quite poorly. Somehow, some of those matches towards the back end of that 8 match winning run were dreary affairs where on another day, we’d of limped away with a point.
We’ve been hit big time with goals due to the absence of Martin AND our right and left wing-backs out injured. Most notably, we’ve broken 4 left sided wing-backs ( including makeshift winger/wingback Anya ). All out injured, we’re now down to our fifth choice left back which has forced the Derby back line into a more rigid back 4.
All through the team we’ve been average at best since December started. We can blame injuries, we can blame cluttered fixture lists – BUT every team in the league has those problems. Derby SHOULD be competing much more strongly due to the depth of the squad due to our selection choices in midfield and up front. We’ve coped well without George Thorne, we’ve done Ok since Hendrick was sold, but the likes of Bryson who just 2 seasons back got us 17 goals from midfield have lacked fitness and regular match time to add to our goal tally.
With the Chris Martin saga still rolling on, the gaffer has relied on Ince/Bent/Russell up front. I’m sure he’s trying to make a point by continually playing Bent – and he’s getting some cracking goals – but, they’re too few to be spearheading our attack. Ince’s goal contribution is on the up and Russell has been off his usual energetic self so we’re struggling.
McClaren made 5 changes in the FA cup at WBA, Russell out/Kamara in and Kamara was the one Derby player who ran their right back ragged. I’d expect him to start ahead of Russell.
Derby have had 5 BTTS’s come up this season and 4 of them were on the road. I’m inclined to think this match will be around the 2 to 3 tmg’s and no more. Either team could win it or it could be stalemate, but I’m confident both will score.
Away from home, Derby are usually beaten on most stats apart from possession where we usually match the opposition. For those guys who like a bit of corner action, if you must bet on this market, I’d favour Leeds race to 5 corners.
Cards wise, the last time we played them the cards count historically threw out the stats and did its own thing. It’s usually a feisty affair between these two teams, yet Leeds never got a single yellow card and I think Derby picked up 2 or 3. On paper, these two teams are more closely matched than the neutrals think, both teams will fancy their chance to steal the points and as Hullshaker has already pointed out, the match will be won or lost in the middle of the pitch. I can’t see past Johnson/Butterfield/Hughes starting for the rams. All 3 midfielders won’t shy out of big tackles and I do expect Derby to pick up at least 3 cards, but Leeds need also to contribute for anyone considering the overs cards market. The bookies usually draw the line in the sand quite highly on this match – around 5.5 cards, but I feel they’ve slipped up here and put it at 3.5 cards. The price is a bit limp at 8/13 with bet365 but its better than a dog shit sandwich.
    BTTS pays 10/11
Leeds race to 5 corners pays 20/21
    Total goals 2 or 3 pays 20/21

If there is a winning side come 21:30pm, I think it will be by a single goal.

best of luck guys, i’ll be on hand around 7pm with team news.

Jong Ajax line-up is definitely not their strongest:

Leeuwenburgh, Zeefuik, De Ligt, Bergsma, Savastano, Eiting, Dankerlui, De Jong, Walian, Sierhuis en Mazraoui

Strikers scored 1 goal between them. Midfielder de Jong scored 3 .

    5pm Rodinghausen v Meppen (O2.5) 17/20
    5.15pm Nomme Kalju v Sillimae Kalev (O2.5) 1/2

All four teams concede and score with regularity, over 2.5 match goals should be easily achievable in both games.
Double – Pays 1.78/1 (just under 9/5 in old money)!

For the adventurous, an over 3.5 goals double on the above 2 pays a whopping 6/1.

Good luck all with a bet on!

  42. kirantotti365 7 years ago

Inter won now 4 in a row and showed solid display especially in defence…Now they face opposition that clearly lacks class and quality and shape to opt for points in this match…Chievo lost twice in recent league matches against Roma 1-3 and against Atalanta 1-4 and after that lost 0-1 in cup against Fiorentina and now they also lack fitness and freshness before facing Inter…Nicola Rigoni and Perparim Hetemaj will probably not travel to San Siro, thus limiting Rolando’s Maran options in midfield…i think guests will have problems in midfield to stop Inter and it will result in couple of goals in their net…

Derby’s Will Hughes has signed a new 3.5 year deal that should at least keep out most transfer enquiries for the next 12 months and they’ve also signed Middlesbrough striker and former Leicester goal machine David Nugent for 2.5 mill. I think its a good signing and given he’s no spring chicken, I think its a reasonable price for the type of player that has a very proven track record at this level. We also tried signing him more than once over 10 years ago. Newcastle made a bid for Ince @ 8 million and McClaren stated ” that would about pay for his right boot ” – he’s a leftie.
    Team news:

Unchanged from the side that beat WBA. Its a surprise but makes a bit of a statement to the rest of the team that were dropped to up their game if they want a start. Will Hughes is rested due to a niggling knee injury + broken hand.

    Carson
    Baird/Keogh/Shackell/Hansen
    Di Sarte
    Johnson/Bryson
    Kamara/Bent/Ince

    Nugent is on the bench.

I’d of thrown Nugent straight in the side and Hughes would be in instead of Di Sarte but however the stats were against us against WBA, we did smash and grab them for 2 quick goals and kept them out for the remaining 36 mins+. But still, we have the squad, so maybe the boss is happy with its balance.
This match could be the catalyst for either club to gain ground on the top 2 slots. I am looking forwards to it.

best of luck with your bets guys

    Evening gents,

Just in now and not had a good look through the thread but looks like some great winners and potential picks well on their way to glory!

Already mentioned the T&T game featuring whipping boys Point Fortin and will deal with that one later on – one that kicks off at 21.00 may well be worth a look prior to that though…

ÁGUILA U20 VS. LUIS ÁNGEL FIRPO U20:

This one comes from the El Salvador Youth League which has thrown up plenty of fair-priced winners in the past for me.

Aguila are rightly favourites; they have scored 2-5-0-1-5-3-7-2 team goals in their last 8 matches.

Pitted against them are Luis Angel Firpo with one win in 8 and 2-3-7-2-0-4-1-3 goals conceded during that period.

The last H2H finished 0-7 to Aguila back in October and obviously that was away from home – begs the question what they might achieve 3 months on at their own home ground?

    Three selections:

    OVER 1.5 FHGS…6/5
    ???

    OVER 3.5 MGS…11/10
    ????

    OVER 4.5 MGS…12/5
    ??

    Best of luck ?

Halftime summary on what I’ve seen so far in Leeds/Derby. It’s been like watching Real Madrid play a full strength side against Halifax town.
Derby have been dreadful, we’ve spent 45 mins hanging on by a thread, Leeds missed an earlier chance when it would of been easier to burst the net, Leeds have dominated every aspect of this game and deservedly, they get another corner ( 12? ) and score from it on the death of ht.
I think it’s 12-3 on corners, possession looks like its around 70+% to Leeds. They appear fitter, they’re quicker to every loose ball, their passing is slick and composed and Derby look like they just do not have a clue. the service to the front is virtually none existent, Kamara who has been put on as a winger has spent most the 1st half making a poor impersonation of a left back/wing back. Bent I think has a cloak of invisibility, our midfield have no bite/dominance and our central defence have spent 45 minutes fluking clearances.
McClaren vacated his seat in the press box on 35 mins ( that’s rare ) to come down to the touchline. Wonder if someone has hidden the hairdryer in the Derby dressing room, it needs to be thrown at somebody.
Hughes needs to come on and so does Nugent. This shambles of a football game will not get any better for the rams without big changes. We need to put our foot on the ball, gain some of the possession back and aspire to spend at least 50% of the 2nd half in their half of the pitch, and not 95% camped in our final 1/3rd.

    Shocking, must do better.

    • nathanufton 7 years ago

Kamara off and Vydra on, Di sart off, Hughes on. That’s better, at least we might have a chance at a point now. Lets see the stats change substantially before I get ahead of myself.

Just seen that goal again, it was handball. I got my odds mixed up earlier, the race to 5 leeds corners was 20/21 not 8/13, the 8/13 is for overs 3.5 cards.
The 2 changes for the rams and Leeds taking the foot off the gas has seen us dominate 2nd half possession 75%. And Nugent is warming up.
Derby have more purpose but we’ve not really tested their back 4 yet. There’s time.

Bit unlucky in the Cambuur game. 2 goals in before half time. A clearance of the line in the 2nd half + Cambuur hit the bar twice

  78. sean567 7 years ago

Oss to win and over 3.5 goals. Easy winner @ 3/1
    Viva la oss!

We’re going to start getting 4.5 goal lines in Oss games soon ?

Well done anyone with a winner. Australia bets already up but won’t be tomorrow’s main punt. Will have it up after midnight @mr-fixit

I know you two are close Jordan but really… this is a public forum ??

  81. liamw 7 years ago

Mixed bag in my own selections, but stuck a chunk on Oss in play – O2.5 was nearly evens at one point I think!

    Orleans v Brest went like:

    2 or 3 goals 20/21 * LOST *
    Highest scoring half 2nd 6/5 * WON *
    Orleans exactly 1 goal 6/4 (Coral) * LOST *
    Brest exactly 2 goals 10/3 * LOST *
Brest exactly 1 second half goal 33/20 (Coral) * WON *
    Brest AH 0.0 @ 1.975 (vs 1.83 for DNB!) * WON *
    For the adventurous, exactly 2 SHGL’s could be worth a small punt @ 3/1 * LOST *

Pity Orleans couldn’t have grabbed one second half goal, which would’ve taken it to 5 wins, 1 void and 1 lost but it wasn’t to be…..well done all winners!

A goal short of a full house from me tonight. we grew into the game but I’d say it was because Leeds stepped back. 5 yellows + a Derby red card decimated the overs 3.5 cards, Leeds won the race to 5 corners in 12 minutes, then the 7’s, 9’s 11’s and wound up on 14 corners.
Well done Leeds, you handed us our arses on a plate tonight. Next up Reading away, and as the Jazz critic from the fast show would say ” grrrrrrrrrrrrrreat “

    • HullShaker 7 years ago

Haha Nathan about the Jazz critic ?

My bets on your lads’ game were losers so hopefully do better with the Night Owls!

Well done sir and well done all winners…think there’s been a few. Kids decided to have some kind of sponsored insomnia night but think I may have won the battle…famous last words ?

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Watched the second half and was impressed by Leeds apart from their finishing.
Won every 50-50 and should have scored more.
A bit scrappy though – expected a bit more quality from both sides.

  83. fraser51 7 years ago

    Kazma V Al AraBI
    Al Sadd v Lekhwiya
    FC Oss v Dordrecht

    O2.5 Treble – 3.27/1 – 2pts

    *WON* easy as that

    ——-

    Brest DNB – Evens – 2pts

*WON* – Thank you for the heads up, could of got on to win but played it safe.

  84. 7 years ago

Fair play Nathan Upton for an honest assessment.
As a Leeds fan it’s the best ive seen them play in a long time, a young team that’s really clicking under Gary Monk….
    Daring to dream now!

ST. ANN’S RANGERS VS. POINT FORTIN :

Had I been able to, I would’ve put this up prior to KO but as it happens, I couldn’t for the reasons above and that works out well as no goals thus far!

Still a great chance we will see a few goals and Over 2.5 MGS is now available at evens…1/4 I think pre-KO.

Won’t list reasoning but have done plenty of PF write-ups already this season!

    OVER 2.5 MGS…EVENS ?

    • elvis parsley 7 years ago

I’m sure Watford will put in a performance v Middlesbrough in honour of Graham Taylor, odds 6-4.
Might add Falkirk to win 8-11 and Leicester btts 10-11 for a treble

    • HullShaker 7 years ago

1-1 , a goal short and a rare point for Point Fortin!

  91. kierons 7 years ago

    AZ over 1.5 tgs 4/6 ?
    Over 2.5 13/20?
    Over 2.5 btts 20/21?
Atgs Wouter Weghorst (bagged a brace past them last time out)?

    Simple…….
Will Oss score 2 I would say yes, will they conceded? They always do.

Oss match goals Over 2.5 btts 8/13
    AZ match goals over 2.5
    Double 1.66/1?

    Good luck!

    I’m stealing Hulls stars
    Full house!!!

    Night Owl…

COSTA RICA VS. EL SALVADOR (23.00 KO):

Central American Cup here and a brief write-up.

Costa Rica have a half-decent set up these days and have dominated their recent games with 6 back to back wins against opponents that actually aren’t laughably poor…Russia, Colombia, USA, etc.

In the process, they have scored 4-2-4-3-1-3 team goals and certainly know how to find the back of the net.

El Salvador’s form is pretty much the opposite with no wins in 6 and 3-3-4-3-2 goals conceded…a nice symmetry to each team’s form coming into the game!

The only thing putting me off goals is that H2Hs have previously been limited to around 2 goals per game but that could change here and Costa Rica have established themselves over the last 18 months or so since the teams last met in July 2015.

For historical reasons, the prices for goals are big and I’m willing to take them on with sensible stakes.

Costa Rica ought to win but I wouldn’t be surprised to see them concede to El Salvador…for all their poor outcomes, they usually grab a goal!

    Three selections to consider:

    OVER 2.5 MGS…EVENS
    ???

    OVER 3.5 MGS…5/2
    ?

    BTTS & COSTA RICA WIN…11/4
    ?

    Good luck ?

Seems like you’re hitting full houses more often than not. Class HullShaker!

    • HullShaker 7 years ago

      Evening Matrix,

I’ve been lucky enough to have hit a fair run of form these last few months and appreciate your kind words.

Transparency is key to betting though and its worth noting that I have also put up plenty of losing bets along the way!

I’m fairly philosophical about the whole thing really, I love football and I love sports betting – the forum is just a great way of combining the two and sharing (or magpie-ing) knowledge and insights…if we can make a bit of money on the way then even better!

Your input has been great this week with some really well-reasoned and wide-reaching selections.

For me though (and I honestly believe this is why you have already attracted so many positive comments) you have gone about your business without backing it up with loads of hype and ‘boasted historic winnings’…well done and all the best of luck pal ?

    *****Saturday’s selections*****

    Rotherham v Norwich
    Bury v Peterborugh

These two look like the best on the English card tomorrow for goals and it’s hard to argue given the volume of goals all 4 sides have been scoring and conceding! These will be on most people’s radar I’d assume – Both matches are backable as singles but i like both so posting as a double

Back over 2.5 match goals double 9/5 (Bet Fred) (NAP)

    ****************************

    Scottish goals treble

    Falkirk v Ayr
    Clyde v Montrose
    Forfar v Stirling

    Pays 7/2

    ***************************

    • ged72 7 years ago

I like both games of your double for overs greg. I think both away away sides could score at least 3.

    • HullShaker 7 years ago

      Looks spot-on Greg.

I put my Saturday picks up midweek and I’ve no reason to change them so will repost on tomorrow’s thread…like you, Bury are on the shortlist!

      Best of luck sir ?

  95. ged72 7 years ago

Does anyone fancy an upset tomorrow at the king power ? Leicester were generally available @ 5/1 before the news broke of Diego Cashta spitting his dummy out.Now 9/2 best price.
