OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER couldn't have asked for a better start to the season as he watched his Manchester United side trash Chelsea 4-0 at Old Trafford.

The Norwegian was under a bit of pressure heading into the new campaign after a dreadful end to last season and a mixed summer in the transfer market.

Plenty of fans were unhappy at losing striker Romelu Lukaku to Inter without signing a replacement but Solskjaer had faith in the hitmen already at Old Trafford and that was rewarded with a lethal display of finishing against Chelsea.

Marcus Rashford netted twice while Anthony Martial also got off the mark and new signing Daniel James came off the bench to grab a debut goal.

Solksjaer was delighted with James but would have been even more thrilled with the performances of big-money defensive recruitments Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire.

Former Crystal Palace full-back Wan-Bissaka impressed defensively and going forward while Maguire dazzled at centre-back.

A dodgy defence has been United's Achilles heel for the last few seasons but they look far more secure with the new boys on board, even though Chelsea had a few first-half chances in the opener.

Former Leicester stopper Maguire also brings leaderships qualities to the team and he will need to make sure United's defence is well organised for a massive test at Molineux.

Wolves are undefeated in their last eight Premier League games at home and are already well up to speed thanks to their Europa League qualifiers.

After taking a bit of time to get going in the opener against Crusaders, Nuno Espirito Santo's side have blasted home four goals in each of their three Euro ties since then.

Wolves also beat United 2-1 at Molineux twice last season, in the league and FA Cup, while drawing 1-1 at Old Trafford. So there won't be any inferiority complex as they prepare to face Solskjaer's new-look side.

Santo rested most of his big hitters for the 4-0 midweek win over Pyunik but they will return for the visit of United and Wolves will be at full strength.

I thought United's lightning quick attack would cause Chelsea problems and cashed in by backing a home win and over 2.5 goals last weekend.

I'm not as confident about a win for the Red Devils here, given Wolves' record against them last season, but over 2.5 goals looks a good shout again at 119/100 with Marathonbet.

Raul Jimenez netted in the cup win over United last term and is 9/4 with Boylesports for anytime scorer . If you want to increase those odds hugely, try backing the Mexican to score with a header, which has been boosted from 10/1 to 12/1 with the same firm.

United's Paul Pogba played a beautiful ball through to Rashford for his second goal last weekend and I like the look of the boosted 3/1 on offer at Boylesports for another assist here.
