WALES will bring the curtain down on their latest Nations League campaign with a crunch home match against Poland at the Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday night.

The Dragons have struggled to adapt life in the top tier of this competition, losing four of their five Group A4 fixtures thus far, whilst drawing the other.

Last time out, Rob Page's side fell to a spirited 2-1 loss at star-studded Belgium, on a night where my recommended bet banked in Brussels.

However, that setback has left Wales teetering on the brink of relegation to League B and that means Page and Co have no room for error when the play host to Poland.

The Poles will be nervously looking over their shoulder, as the are currently residing just one place and three points above their opponents.

Czeslaw Michniewicz's men kicked-off their campaign with a 2-1 home victory against Wales, but they have since picked up just one point from a possible 12 , meaning they make the trip to the Welsh capital with work to do if they are to avoid being demoted to tier two.

Outright Betting

The bookies are finding it hard to separate the teams with Wales narrow outsiders at 8/5 (Bet 365) while a point apiece has been priced up at 12/5 (UniBet).

Poland, who have avoided defeat in each of their last seven meetings with Wales, enter their final group fixture as 7/5 (Bet 365) favourites.

Betting Angles

There isn't a huge amount of appeal in the 1×2 market here but backing both teams to score looks like an eye-catching alternative at 19/20 with Ladbrokes.

Goals have been a regular feature in games involving Wales in recent times, with both teams getting in on the act in eight of their last nine competitive contests.

What's more, the Welsh have notched at least once in each of their last  12 outings across all competitions, a sample that includes home and away matches with the likes of big-hitters Belgium and Netherlands

However, at the other end of the park, Rob Page's rearguard is not exactly renowned for being watertight, with the home team failing to keep their sheets clean in nine of their last 10 assignments.

That doesn't bode well ahead of a visit from Poland a side that have a considerable ace up their sleeve in the form of free-scoring Robert Lewandowski.

The Poles decent form is built on an attacking threat that has seen them score in 17 of their last 19 meaningful matches, including a brace in June's reverse fixture.

Not only did both teams oblige when the pair last crossed paths, but the same play would have also paid out in 12 of Poland's last 17 competitive fixtures.

Therefore, with all things considered, siding with the same wager in Wales on Sunday night at 19/20 (Ladbrokes) is a price that definitely represents value.

This match between Wales and Poland will be played on Sep 25, 2022 and kick off at 19:45. Check below for our tipsters best Wales vs Poland prediction. You may also visit our dedicated betting previews section for the most up to date previews.
