A RESURGENT Spurs travel to the Netherlands to take on Vitesse Arnhem in the third round of fixtures in the Europa Conference League.

Manager Nuno Espirito Santo was under serious pressure a couple of weeks ago after a dismal North London derby defeat at Arsenal, but since then the Portuguese coach has overseen his team turn it around with three wins in a row – two of them in the English Premier League.

While all eyes were on Newcastle United and their takeover, that suited Tottenham to the ground and they eased to an impressive win with the visitors almost playing a front four when going foward and Tanguy Ndombele, Lucas Moura, Heung-min Son and Harry Kane all looked excellent.

Spurs have perhaps not taken Europe outside the Champions League as seriously as they should have in the past, but a pair of wins against Vitesse will mean they more or less relax after a win and a draw earlier.

Mind you, Vitesse are on a roll themselves now. After also beating the group's no-hopers NS Mura, they lost to Rennes, but have won againstFeyenoord and NEC Nijmegen in their last two games and currently sit in sixth place in the Eredivisie.

How the bookies view it

Spurs are clear favourites in the GelreDome at a backable 7/10 with Unibet. The Dutch hosts are 15/4 with bet365 and the draw is 3./1 with SBK.

Recent head to heads

The sides have never met. Here's Vitesse's win over NEC Nijmegen at the weekend. There was an unfortunate incident after the match too where their fans celebrated by bouncing up and down only for a section of the stand to collapse.

Players to watch

Belgian striker Lois Openda hit the headlines in the Netherlands last week when his double saw Vitesse dump Feyenoord at home and the on-loan Club Brugge man could have an impact here. He's 11/4 with Paddy Power to score anytime.

Ignoring the obvious shouts for Spurs like Kane, Tanguy Ndombele impressed while scoring and providing an assist in Tyneside and is looking for his third goal of the season. He's 4/1 to score anytime in the Netherlands with Paddy Power.

Anything else catch the eye?

Assuming there's no shock team selection from the Londoners, they really should be far too strong for Vitesse who have already been thumped this season by a least three goals by Willem II, Twente Enschede and Ajax, two of which were at home.

Spurs are probably just on the edge of being backable, but they will want to make an early impression and should be full of confidence so try the Spurs half time and full time wager at 7/4 with BoyleSports.

Vitesse have had at least four cards shown alone in each of their last three games and had two players sent off against Feyenoord so
