LONDON rivals Tottenham and West Ham United face off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Thursday night.

Ange Postecoglou’s side snapped their three-game losing streak in style by earning a well-deserved 3-3 draw at Man City on Sunday, on an afternoon where my player-based selection banked.

That victory nudged Spurs back up to fifth place in what is a pretty congested Premier League table at the minute.

Back on home turf this midweek, Tottenham will look to get back in the winning groove when they go up against fierce foes West Ham.

The Hammers head across the capital off the back of a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday, in a game that justified my faith in going for goals at both ends.

As such, David Moyes’ men remain in ninth spot with 21 points to show for their efforts after 14 rounds of fixtures.

Outright Betting

Despite failing to win any of their last four Premier League games, Tottenham Hotspur are odds-on 4/5 (Betfred) favourites.

West Ham were the first-ever visiting team to win at this venue but the Irons make the short trip across town this midweek as 16/5 (Bet 365) outsiders while the draw can be backed at 3/1 (PaddyPower).

Betting Angles

Tottenham are fair favourites at 4/5 on Thursday night and I’m more than happy to back the hosts to prevail at that price.

While Spurs are without a win in their last four league games, they will consider themselves unlucky not to have amassed more points during that period, particularly from their games against Chelsea, Aston Villa and Wolves.

What’s more, Ange Postecoglou has already steered his side to four home wins from six in the Premier League this season, which doesn’t bode well for a West Ham side who are notoriously poor away from home under David Moyes.

The Hammers have triumphed in just six of their last 26 top-flight road trips, not to mention they have already crashed to defeat at the likes of Liverpool, Aston Villa and Brentford this season.

It’s also worth pointing out that the visitors' solitary clean sheet in the Premier League this season so far came against rock bottom Sheffield United, which does not augur well given how ferocious an attacking force Spurs have become under Ange Postecoglou.

Therefore, with all things considered, backing Tottenham to claim top honours on Thursday night holds plenty of appeal at 4/5 with Betfred.

After netting his ninth Premier League goal of the season on Sunday, I'll also back Tottenham's Heung-min Son to get on the scoresheet again at 6/5 (Bet 365).

The Spurs skipper has been the scourge of David Moyes' defence in recent years – having notched in Tottenham's last three home games with the Hammers, – and the South Korean superstar can inflict more misery on a West Ham side that are not exactly renowned for keeping clean sheets.
