CELTIC will look to tighten their grip at the top of the Scottish Premiership with a win against Ross County in Dingwall on Saturday afternoon.

After being held to a 0-0 draw at Hibs last weekend, Brendan Rodgers’ side returned to winning ways in midweek with a narrow 2-1 win over St Mirren.

That victory coupled with results elsewhere means that Celtic remain five points clear of Old Firm rivals Rangers at the summit of the standings.

With the Light Blues in League Cup semi-final action this weekend, the Hoops could open up an eight point lead at the top of the table should they manage to see off Ross County.

The Staggies are currently occupying tenth place in the Scottish Premiership following a run of three consecutive draws.

Malky Mackay’s men showed real fighting spirit to come from 2-0 down to earn a point against Hibs at Easter Road on Tuesday, on a night where my recommended Bet Builder copped in the capital.

Outright Betting

A fourth straight stalemate involving Ross County is an unfancied 5/1 (Bet 365) while the home win is also deemed unlikely at 14/1 (Bet 365).

After failing to pick up maximum points at Easter Road last weekend, Celtic are heavy 2/9 (Bet 365) favourites to make no mistake in their latest road match.

Betting Angles

Unsurprisingly, Celtic are unbackable here  at the above-mentioned price so I’ll instead head to the Anytime Goalscorer market and back Kyogo Furuhashi to Score at 5/6 (PaddyPower).

Admittedly, Celtic’s star striker has somewhat surprisingly only scored once across his last six top-flight appearances, however a trip to Dingwall could represent a good opportunity to end his mini-goal drought.

Ross County have only managed to keep their sheets clean in three of their opening 10 league games of the season, with their only shutout across their last six coming against Dundee.

What’s more, Malky Mackay’s men have shipped five goals over the course of their last two league top-flight fixtures against both Motherwell and Hibs respectively, which doesn’t augur well ahead of the visit of the champions.

Whilst Celtic goal-getter Furuhashi is currently enduring a bit barren run domestically, he has notched in each of Celtic’s last two Champions League games,  so it’s not as if the Japanese sharpshooter has completely lost his goal-scoring touch.

With all that in mind, I’m more than happy to side with the aforementioned Kyogo to hit the back of the net in the Highlands on Saturday at 5/6 with PaddyPower.

At the other end of the park, I’ll also have a small play on Ross County’s Jordan White in the To Score Or To Be Shown A Card market.

The Staggies striker is a strong physical presence up top and notched in August’s reverse fixture, not to mention he already has four bookings to his name this season.

This match between Ross County and Celtic will be played on Nov 4, 2023 and kick off at 12:30. Check below for our tipsters best Ross County vs Celtic prediction. You may also visit our dedicated betting previews section for the most up to date previews.
