BAYERN MUNICH have breezed through Group B of the Champions League and can wrap up top spot with a game to spare by beating Red Star in Belgrade.

The German giants may be faltering in the Bundesliga, with boss Niko Kovac bulleted after a 5-1 thrashing by Frankfurt, but they haven't put a foot wrong in Europe.

Bayern have smashed home an incredible 15 goals in their four group games, the highlight being a 7-2 win at Tottenham, so they should have too much firepower for the Serbian champions.

When these sides met in Germany on Matchday One it ended in a 3-0 Bayern win, summing up the gulf in quality between the teams.

Red Star's passionate fans can make a trip to Belgrade pretty intimidating and they have a superb record against German clubs at home, losing just once in their last 12 games.

But that sole defeat came against Bayern in 2007 and Spurs also eased to a 4-0 win there on Matchday Four so the Germans have nothing to fear.

That bruising double-header with Tottenham, with the aggregate scoreline 9-0, has more or less ended Red Star's hopes of reaching the last 16.

They trail Spurs by four points so will need to pull off a shock victory over Bayern and hope the Premier League side slip up against Olympiakos in the other game.

Both scenarios seem pretty unlikely so it's easy to see why the bookies make Bayern Munich heavy favourites here, at a best 33/100 with Marathonbet.

Caretaker boss Hansi Flick, despite sounding like a member of the Allo Allo cast, has done a fine job steadying the ship since Kovac's sacking.

He led Bayern to a 2-0 win over Olympiakos in the Champions League then masterminded a 4-0 thrashing of Dortmund in the Bundesliga before the international break.

Flick presided over another 4-0 win at the weekend away to Fortuna Dusseldorf, leaving them just a point adrift of Bundesliga leaders Monchengladbach.

That has given the board some time to mull over Kovac's permanent successor, with axed Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino one of the names in the frame.

But if Flick continues to impress he could become a contender himself, with Bayern giving him at least until the new year to press his claims further.

He should make sure there is no complacency in Belgrade and I fancy the Germans to win with a bit to spare. To make the odds on Bayern more appealing, double an away win with with a clean sheet at 8/5 with Boylesports.

Red Star have drawn a blank in three of their four group games while Bayern kept clean sheets in the first three games of Flick's caretaker reign. With Red Star's top striker Milan Pavkov also an injury doubt, it's hard to see them breaching the German defences.

The handicap market also offers a bit better value, with Bayern -1 available at 4/5 with Betfred and the odds increasing to 2/1 with Paddy Power for Bayern -2.

With Robert Lewandowski in such ridiculous goalscoring form there's little value to be had on backing him to find the net again. The Pole is 21/50 for anytime scorer at 888Sport so you need to look elsewhere to find something worth backing.

Winger Serge Gnabry, who hit four in that crushing of Spurs, grabbed a hat-trick for Germany in their win over Northern Ireland last week. He also netted against Fortuna at the weekend and confidence will be soaring through him so I'm tipping Gnabry to score again here at 27/20 with Unibet.
