RANGERS continue to look a bit vulnerable so it will be interesting to see how Livingston approach a Premiership to trip to Ibrox that seems far less daunting than usual.

Taking a series of beatings in the Champions League has dented morale in Giovanni van Bronckhorst's squad, with their 7-1 mauling by Liverpool causing unrest among the support.

Since that humbling loss, Rangers have responded with domestic victories over Motherwell and Dundee but the performances have been far from convincing, with some fans booing the players off the park after the 1-0 League Cup win over the Dark Blues.

The Championship side had Gers under pressure in the closing stages and could have forced extra time if they possessed a bit more quality in attack, with our man Mark disappointed by the lack of firepower from both teams.

The loss of Connor Goldson has left Rangers vulnerable in defence so Livingston boss David Martindale might ask his side to be more adventurous than usual when they come to Ibrox.

Livi have been a thorn in the side of the Old Firm at the Tony Macaroni Arena but usually opt to park the bus on trips to Glasgow. Their record at Ibrox is dismal but Martindale might never have a better chance to give Rangers a bloody nose.

How the bookies view it

Even though Rangers aren't in top form, Livingston are rank outsiders for an Ibrox win at 18/1 with Coral. The best price for van Bronckhorst's side is just 1/5 at BoyleSports while the draw pays 7/1 with Bet365.

Head to head

Livingston's home form against Rangers is decent, with two victories and six draws against the Glasgow giants since 2003. But it has been a different story at Ibrox with defeats on their last 10 visits and the Lions scoring just twice during that run. It ended 1-0 when these sides last faced off in Glasgow, with Scott Arfield netting the winner after the break.

Players to watch

Alfredo Morelos was handed a start in midweek but blew his chance to stake a claim as he drew a blank. I'd expect Antonio Colak to be restored up front here and the Croatian is a best 5/6 with Bet365 for anytime scorer. That's not great value but the odds increase to 10/3 with the same firm if you back Colak to break the deadlock.

Livingston's best chance for a goal probably comes from a set-piece with Rangers conceding a lot of goals from corners. Ayo Obileye is a big threat in the air and the stopper is 33/2 with SBK for a goal, which will attract a few long-odds punters.

Anything else catch the eye?

The stats suggest a Rangers win to nil as Livingston have failed to score on their last five visits to Ibrox. Even though Gers have problems at the back, that bet is odds-on here at a best 4/5 with Betfred. That's not great value but combining a Rangers win with under 3.5 goals is better at evens with BoyleSports.

Livingston will probably still defend deep and that makes Rangers corners a good option. Rangers -6 in the corner handicap pays 6/5 at Bet365 while over 10.5 corners is evens with the same firm.

Scott Pittman has been racking up the yellows for Livingston of late, with three in his last five outings. The midfielder is 2/1 with Bet365 for a card here which looks decent value.
