NOTTINGHAM FOREST claimed the scalp of Arsenal in the last round of the FA Cup and will now fancy their chances of shocking holders Leicester City in a cracking East Midlands derby.

Steve Cooper's men bust my coupon with that 1-0 win over the Gunners and now face a Foxes side who needed extra time to see off Watford in the first game of their Cup defence.

Forest have been in good form since beating Arsenal, although their four-game winning run came to an end in their last Championship outing with a 2-1 defeat at Cardiff.

They are in the fight for a play-off place but would love to extend their FA Cup adventure, especially with Leicester the visitors to the City Ground.

Brendan Rodgers' men have been a bit flaky this term and headed into the winter break with morale low after a last-gasp loss to Spurs and a 1-1 draw with Brighton.

Players are starting to come back from injury and AFCON duty but Rodgers is still unable to field anywhere near his strongest team, particularly in defence.

So that makes this derby clash with Forest a potential banana skin if the Championship side repeat the intensity of their performance against Arsenal.

How the bookies view it

Despite having home advantage Nottingham Forest are 11/4 outsiders at Bet365 for a win inside 90 minutes. Leicester City are 11/10 at Coral while the draw at 90 minutes pays 13/5 at Mansionbet and might be worth a punt. To qualify, Forest are 17/11 at VBet while Leicester's best price is just 10/17 at SBK.

Recent head to head

These teams haven't faced off since Leicester were last in the Championship back in season 2013/14. It was Forest who came out on top that term, winning 2-0 at the King Power before a 2-2 draw back in Nottingham (below).

The Foxes will be hoping for a repeat of the last FA Cup meeting, which they won 4-0 at home in a replay 10 years ago after a 0-0 draw at the City Ground.

Players to watch

Keinan Davis has been a handy addition for Forest, with the on-loan Aston Villa striker scoring in his last two games. Davis is 33/10 with Unibet for anytime scorer here which looks decent value.

Patson Daka has stepped up to the mark for Leicester in Jamie Vardy's absence and has netted three times in his last four appearances. The Zambian is 8/5 at Bet365 for anytime scorer in this cup tie.

Anything else catch the eye?

This tie promises goals with Leicester keeping just one clean sheet in their last six matches. Both teams to score has also come up in five of their last six so that appeals here, although the odds aren't great at a best 4/5 with William Hill. Over 2.5 goals offers a bit better value at 10/11 with SBK.

This is a derby and some of the challenges could be a bit tasty. Former Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna isn't afraid of a battle and could be worth a punt at 11/4 with McBookie to be carded.

Nottingham Forest are also evens to pick up most cards with the same firm and that appeals as Leicester aren't renowned for putting the boot in.
