LIVERPOOL will be hoping their brief Premier League pause hasn't halted their momentum as they charge towards their first title since 1990.

It was a clash against Norwich that started the procession as Jurgen Klopp's men romped to a 4-1 victory at Anfield on the opening night.

And Liverpool now face the Canaries again as they start heading down the home straight, with only a disastrous collapse standing between them and glory.

Most bookies now offer odds of 1/1000 on Klopp's men winning the title while the rock-bottom Canaries are a best 1/10 to be relegated.

So it would be the shock of the season if Norwich became the first English team to beat the Reds this season, although Daniel Farke's men have been playing better than their results suggest.

The Carrow Road side have won just once in their last 12 league games but the only time they have lost by more than one goal was a 4-0 loss at Old Trafford.

How the bookies view it

Norwich are rank outsiders at a best 10/1 with Ladbrokes while even the draw is 11/2 with Bet365. Liverpool's best price is 3/10 with Unibet so try backing them to be leading at half-time and full-time, which is 10/11 at Coral and has come up in their last five away league games.

Klopp's side have won 10 of their last 12 matches without conceding and another win to nil pays 13/10 at BetVictor. But the Canaries scored at Anfield and have only been shut out twice in their last eight matches. So a Reds win with both teams to score appeals more at 9/5 with BoyleSports.

I tipped Liverpool to shut out Norwich on the opening night, only for Teemu Pukki to bust my coupon, and Farke's forward-thinking side could get some joy again.

Recent head to head

Liverpool have bossed this fixture in the last few decades, going 13 games unbeaten against Norwich. Eleven of those matches ended in wins for the Reds and you have to go back to 1994 for the Canaries' last win, a 1-0 triumph at Anfield.

The last meeting between these sides at Carrow Road was a classic, with Adam Lallana scoring a last-gasp winner in a 5-4 victory for Klopp's side in 2016 (below).

Players to watch

Roberto Firmino netted twice in that 5-4 thriller on Liverpool's last visit to Norwich and appeals at 6/4 with BetVictor for another goal here.

The Brazilian (below right) has gone three games without a goal and that suggests he could be due one here. He's also a boosted 11/2 with William Hill to break the deadlock.

Pukki has been the main man for Norwich for the past two seasons and the Finn is 5/2 with Bet365 for another goal here. But I'm more drawn to young winger Todd Cantwell who has caught the eye all season. He's 5/1 with Unibet to net and that's decent value.

Anything else catch the eye?

This fixture has delivered plenty of goals in recent years and promises more thrills. There has been an average of 5.5 goals across their last seven meetings and there were five goals at Anfield in their last meeting.

Carrow Road clashes have been even more open, with Liverpool winning 5-4, 3-2, 5-0 and 3-0 on their last four visits. So go for over 3.5 goals here at 11/8 with Betfair while over 4.5 strikes is 3/1 with most firms.

Norwich won't change from their attacking approach and that lends value to the 2/1 William Hill offer on the Canaries winning over one corner in each half.
