Norwich City will be hoping to halt a mini slump when they host Huddersfield Town in an English Championship fixture at Carrow Road. They have found things difficult in recent weeks but will be confident of returning to winning ways against a struggling Huddersfield side.

The Canaries were held to a 1-1 draw at Preston North End in their previous Championship fixture. They failed to build on Emiliano Buendia's early opener and were punished with a 95th minute equaliser.

That was the second straight Championship draw for Norwich, who were also held 1-1 by Blackburn in their previous outing. However, the leaders remain on course for automatic promotion as they hold a six point lead at the top of the table.

Daniel Farke’s men are still unbeaten in their last 11 matches, claiming nine wins in that run, including a 3-0 triumph against Luton Town and a 2-0 victory at Nottingham Forest. They have also won four of their last five matches at Carrow Road, and have kept clean sheets in three of the last four.

Huddersfield Town are also coming off a draw as they were held 1-1 at home by Brentford last time out in the Championship. They struck early in the first half but were pegged back by the Bees five minutes after the restart.

The Terriers have spent much of the season at the wrong end of the table, although they have an eight point cushion over the relegation zone. They have been on a poor run of form with just two wins in their last 16 Championship matches.

Carlos Corberan’s men often struggle on the road with just one win in their last 12 away matches. Among their results in that run is a 2-0 defeat to Derby County while they were also beaten 3-0 at Preston North End.

How the bookies view it

Despite their mini slump, Norwich City are still considered favourites among the bookies with SBK offering 7/17 for a home win. A victory for Huddersfield Town is valued at 17/2 by SBK while a draw is set at odds of 4/1 by the same firm.

Norwich often do their best work at home and are expected to ease to a comfortable victory on Tuesday.

Head to head

Norwich City have a 9-6 advantage from 19 matches in the head to head against Huddersfield Town. There have been four draws between both teams while the Canaries earned a 1-0 victory in the reverse fixture back in September.

Players to watch

Striker Teemu Pukki has failed to score in his last two matches but does not go too long without finding the net. Norwich’s top scorer will be keen to rediscover his scoring touch and could be worth a punt at 7/10 with Unibet to score anytime.

Fraizer Campbell is the top scorer for Huddersfield this season and will be tasked with carrying their attacking threat. Unibet is offering 19/5 on the striker in the anytime goalscorer market.

Anything else catch the eye?

Norwich have earned a win to nil in three of their last four home matches and are priced at 67/50 by Sporting Index for a similar outcome. A -1 handicap bet could also be in play for the hosts at 6/5 with Red Zone.

The Canaries could be backed to earn a halftime win at 19/20 with Sport Nation while Paddy Power is offering 23/10 on the home team to win both halves.
