Netherlands host Georgia in an international friendly at De Grolsch Veste. This will be the final preparatory fixture for the Dutch before the European Championship and given the exciting blend of attacking quality in their team, they should ease past the Georgians.

A brace from Memphis Depay helped Netherlands earn a 1-1 draw against Scotland in their previous friendly. The Lyon forward scored early in the first half and then struck again one minute from time to ensure they claimed a share of the spoils.

The Dutch are returning to the European Championship after missing the last two editions and will hope to build some momentum ahead of their opening fixture. They have been in good form lately with four wins and a draw from their last six matches across all competitions.

Manager Frank de Boer has assembled a solid squad with a particularly impressive attack, including Memphis Depay, Luuk de Jong and Steven Berghuis, who are all coming off successful seasons. They thrashed Gibraltar 7-0 in March and will be keen to once again show their full attacking strength against one of Europe's lower ranked teams.

Georgia claimed a 2-1 victory over Romania in their previous international friendly. Efforts from Georges Mikautadze and Giorgi Aburjania gave them a two-goal lead before the Romanians pulled one back midway through the second half.

Ranked 91st in the world, the Georgians have struggled in recent times with Wednesday’s victory ending a run of eight matches without a win. Defeats to Spain and Sweden in March highlights how much they struggle, particularly against the bigger sides.

Manager Willy Sagnol already favours a conservative style of play and will be robbed of even more bite in attack with key players Giorgi Kvilitaia, Giorgi Chakvetadze, Jaba Kankanva all ruled out.

How the bookies view it

Netherlands have been installed as overwhelming favourites among the bookies and are valued at 1/6 by Skybet to win. Georgia are priced at 19/1 by betfair for an unlikely win while a draw is set at odds of 15/2 by Unibet.

The Dutch have too much quality for Georgia and should ease to a comfortable victory here.

Head to head

This will be the first ever meeting between Netherlands and Georgia.

Players to watch

Netherlands boast plenty of attacking quality with Memphis Depay, Luuk de Jong, Steven Berghuis and Georginio Wijnaldum all carrying significant goal threats. With all that attacking fire power, the Dutch will be confident of scoring three or more goals at 4/5 with Skybet.

Even with the absence of Virgil Van Dijk, Netherlands still possess enough quality at the back to shut out the Georgians. Mathijs de Ligt, Stefan de Vrij and Nathan Ake are among the defenders in the squad and can help the team keep a clean sheet at 4/7 with Skybet.
