Fresh from their victory in the South Wales derby, Swansea will look to maintain their good form as they travel to Millwall on Tuesday in the Championship. While the Swans have done some of their best work on the road lately, Millwall have been just as impressive at home and both teams look set to cancel each other out.

Despite sitting 10th on the table, Millwall are part of a group of teams who are still vying for a promotion playoff finish. They are currently four points behind sixth place Blackburn Rovers having played a game less.

Millwall’s recent form has been a bit troubling as they have claimed just one win from their last five Championship matches. However, three of those matches have ended in draws, including a 2-2 scoreline at Luton Town last time out with Tom Bradshaw and Benik Afobe getting their goals.

Despite their recent struggles, the Den has remained a fortress for Millwall who are unbeaten in their last seven Championship home matches. They have claimed five wins in that run, including a 2-0 victory over promotion chasing Huddersfield Town.

Sitting seven points behind Millwall, the task for Swansea City for the rest of the season will be to push for a finish in the top half. They have been in good form and have won two and draw one of their last three matches.

Swansea City will travel to the Den with plenty of confidence after seeing off arch rivals Cardiff City 4-0 last time out in the Championship. Michael Obafemi netted a brace while Benjamin Cabango and Hannes Wolf were also on target.

That result is the latest addition to a string of impressive victories on the road for Swansea City in recent weeks. Russell Martin’s men have won three of their last four away matches with a 2-0 victory at West Brom among their results in that run.

How the bookies view it

Millwall have the upper hand among the bookies with a home win priced at 13/10 with Coral. A victory for Swansea City is valued at 5/2 with BoyleSports while a draw is set at odds of 28/13 with SBK.

Recent head to head

Swansea City are unbeaten in the last four matches against Millwall, claiming two wins and as many draws in that run. Both teams battled to a 0-0 scoreline in the reverse fixture back in September.

Players to watch

Benik Afobe has been the man in form for Millwall in recent weeks with three goals in his last two Championship matches. Unibet has the striker at odds of 43/20 to get on the score sheet on Tuesday.

Joel Piroe has failed to score in his last two matches but remains the top scorer for Swansea City with 15 goals and is priced at 21/10 with Coral to score anytime. Fellow forward Michael Obafemi has stepped up with six goals in his last six matches and is priced at 12/5 by BetVictor in the same market.

Anything else catch the eye?

Given the attacking quality on display from both sides, Tuesday’s clash is likely to produce goals. Over 2.5 goals is valued at 13/10 with bet365 while William Hill is offering odds of 10/11 on both teams to score.

Millwall and Swansea City have seen more goals after the break in their recent Championship matches so the second half could be tipped as the highest scoring half at 6/5 with Paddy Power.
