Marseille host Monaco in a Ligue 1 fixture on Saturday with both teams looking to maintain their recent good form. Marseille have been solid at Orange Velodrome lately and with Monaco also impressing on their travels, both sides could be set to cancel each other out.

Marseille will head into Saturday’s clash looking to bounce back after getting knocked out of the Coupe de France by Rennes last weekend. They played out a 1-1 draw in normal time with Jordan Veretout’s effort cancelled out by the hosts before losing on penalties.

Having looked decent in their recent Ligue 1 fixtures, Marseille will be confident of getting things back on track on Saturday. They are unbeaten in their last seven Ligue 1 matches but have been held to three draws in that run, including a 1-1 scoreline with Strasbourg last time out.

Another thing that will give Marseille some confidence heading into Saturday’s clash is their recent home record. Gennaro Gattuso’s are unbeaten in their last nine Ligue 1 home matches, claiming six wins in that run.

Monaco travel to the Orange Velodrome off the back of a 3-1 victory over lower league side Rodez. They were untroubled for much of the encounter with Wissam Ben Yedder’s hat-trick earning them a comfortable win.

That result is a welcome distraction from Monaco’s recent struggles having suffered a 3-1 home defeat to Reims in their previous Ligue 1 fixture. Manager Adi Hutter will be keen to use it as a spark to revive their push for a European finish as they currently sit fourth on the standings.

The win over Rodez also maintains Monaco’s fine record on their travels as they are unbeaten in nine of their last 11 away matches. They have won three of the last four in that run and claimed a 2-1 victory at Toulouse in their previous Ligue 1 away fixture.
