LIVERPOOL halted their away slump in midweek and Saturday sees them return to Anfield where they have been untouchable this season.

It's 17 wins from 17 so far for Julrgen Klopp's men and two more home victories will make them the first English side to maintain a 100% record throughout the campaign.

And three wins from their remaining four fixtures overall will give the rampant Reds the most points ever accumulated in a Premier League season.

Having understandably dipped in form and intensity since the title was secured, the Reds have responded well since their 4-0 hammering at Man City, with a 2-0 success over Aston Villa at Anfield followed by the 3-1 away win at Brighton.

That success at the Amex was a first in six matches away from home and also ended a five-game streak without scoring on the road.

They welcome a Burnley side who are on a fine run of form, picking up 10 points from the last 12 available, and are still right in the hunt for a Europa League spot.

How do the bookies view it?

You have to go way back to 1974 for Burnley's last win at Anfield and the Clarets are 12-1 at BetVictor to end that long wait for a repeat this weekend.

Liverpool are 1-4 at bet365 to continue their perfect home record, while a draw – which Burnley last achieved at Liverpool three years ago – is 11-2 with Betfair.

Betting angles

Aside from a 5-0 hammering at Man City in their first game back after lockdown, Burnley don't tend to suffer too many heavy defeats.

Indeed, their recent excellent run is built on a miserly defence that has conceded just one goal in four matches. It will no doubt be a damage limitation job for Dyche's battlers at Anfield and they make life difficult for the hosts.

Liverpool – as they always do – will find a way to win, but a home success, under five goals and over eight corners should bank at just over evens.

Striker Mo Salah is three adrift of 22-goal Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy in the race for the Golden Boot and will hope to make up some ground on Saturday.
