Juventus will be looking to maintain their good form as they travel to Genoa for a Friday night Serie A fixture. The hosts are currently fighting for survival and should be no match for the superior quality of the visitors.

Sitting three points from safety with three matches left to play, Genoa need a turnaround in fortunes if they are to survive this season. However, their record this season offers little hope for survival having claimed just three wins from 35 Serie A matches this season.

Things appear to have gotten worse for Genoa in recent weeks as they head into Friday’s clash with four defeats from their last five matches. Alexander Blessin’s men were beaten 1-0 at Sampdoria in their previous fixture.

Although things are slightly better at home for Genoa, they tend to struggle against the top sides. They have lost to Roma and AC Milan at home this season while a 4-1 defeat to Lazio is also among their recent results at the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris.

Juventus have already secured Champions League football for next season and sit fourth on the table, 10 points clear of Roma with three matches left to play. They will now turn their attention to overtaking third place Napoli.

Beyond the motivation of catching Napoli, Juventus also need to maintain their momentum ahead of a massive Coppa Italia final against Inter Milan. They have won four of their last five matches across all competitions, including a 2-1 victory over Venezia last time out in Serie A with Leonardo Bonucci netting a brace.

Juventus will travel to Genoa with plenty of confidence as they have done some of their best work on the road lately. Massimiliano Allegri’s men have won their last five away matches across all competitions.

How the bookies view it

The bookies have installed Juventus as overwhelming favourites with an away win priced at 13/15 by SBK. Genoa are considered outsiders at home with an unlikely win valued at 18/5 by BetVictor while a draw is set at odds of 27/10 by SBK.

Head to head

Juventus have a 26-4 advantage with nine draws from 22 previous matches with Genoa. The Turin club have also won the last six meetings and claimed a 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture back in December.

Players to watch

A lot will be dependent on Mattia Destro, who must rediscover his scoring touch if Genoa are to survive this season. The striker is their top scorer with nine Serie A goals this season and is priced at 3/1 by Paddy Power to find the net on Saturday.

Given Dusan Vlahovic’s lack of goals lately, Paulo Dybala remains the one to watch for Juventus. The Argentine attacker was on target in his last appearance on the road and is priced at 2/1 by Betfred to get on the score sheet on Friday.

Anything else catch the eye?

Juventus have not been particularly convincing at the back and are likely to concede on Friday. Both teams could be backed to score at 13/14 with SBK, who are also offering odds of 66/67 for over 2.5 goals while over 3.5 goals is valued at 27/10 by BetVictor.

There has been more goals before the break in Juventus’ last two away matches and Friday’s clash could be tipped to follow a similar pattern at 13/5 with Paddy Power. Juventus have also scored in both halves in their last three matches and could be set for a repeat at 15/8 with Unibet.
