Feyenoord host Lazio in their final Europa League Group F fixture with both teams looking to secure a place in the next phase of the competition. The Dutch side will also be seeking revenge for the 4-2 defeat in the reverse fixture and with neither team particularly convincing at the back, another high scoring contest could be on the cards.

Feyenoord’s Europa League campaign has not been particularly smooth as they have claimed just one win from their five matches. However, they go into Thursday’s clash still with a chance of progressing, as a win by two or more goals will see them through.

The problem for Feyenoord is that their recent form has not been great with just one win from their last four matches across all competitions. Arne Slot’s men were beaten 1-0 at Sturm Graz in their previous Europa League fixture.

Feyenoord will also need to sort out their defensive issues having kept just one clean sheet in five Europa League matches this season, conceding eight goals in that run. However, they have been prolific at the other end of the pitch, scoring 12 goals in the competition, six of which came in their home meeting with Sturm Graz.

Lazio have a simple task heading into Thursday’s clash as all they have to do is avoid defeat to secure a place in the next phase. Maurizio Sarri’s men are top of Group F having lost just once in the competition, although that was a heavy 5-1 defeat to Midtjylland.

That result at Midtjylland highlights a poor defensive record for Lazio, who have kept just one clean sheet in the Europa League, conceding 10 goals in that run. They also let in the first goal last time out against the Danes but fought back to claim a 2-1 win thanks to goals from Sergei Milinkovic-Savic and Pedro.

Lazio’s defensive problems were also on display in their Serie A fixture last Sunday as they were beaten 3-1 at home by Salernitana. They struck first through Mattia Zaccagni but capitulated after the break.

How the bookies view it

Feyenoord have the upper hand among the bookies and are priced at 5/4 by bet365 to claim the win. A victory for Lazio is valued at 21/10 by William Hill while a draw is set at odds of 14/5 by BoyleSports.

Head to head

There has been only one previous meeting between Feyenoord and Lazio with the Serie A side claiming a 4-2 victory in the reverse fixture.

Players to watch

Danilo has been the standout out player for Feyenoord this season with eight goals across all competitions so far. The forward was also on target in the 6-0 hammering of Sturm Graz and is priced at 8/5 by bet365 to find the net on Tuesday.

Ciro Immobile remains sidelined so Sergei Milinkovic-Savic will be the one to watch for Lazio on Thursday. The midfielder was on target last time out against Midtjylland and could be tipped to get on the score sheet at 11/4 with bet365.
