ENGLAND WOMEN will aim to move one step closer to Euro 2022 glory when they welcome Sweden to Bramall Lane for Tuesday's first semi-final.
Football fever has well and truly gripped the English nation after the Lionesses' came from behind to defeat Spain 2-1 in extra-time at the quarter-final stage last midweek.
That stirring comeback, coupled with results elsewhere means that Sarina Wiegman's side have been trimmed into general 6/4 favourites to lift the trophy.
Next up for England, amid soaring expectations, is a semi-final showdown with a Sweden side who ousted Belgium in the quarter-finals.
That last-gasp victory saw the Swedes secure their passage to the semi-finals of the European Championships for the sixth time across the last eight tournaments.
Peter Gerhardsson's team are the highest ranked side at Euro 2022 and should provide tournament favourites England with a stern test in the Steel City.
