Denmark and Switzerland will begin preparations for their Euro 2024 campaign as they clash in a friendly on Saturday evening. The Danes have looked almost unstoppable in recent times and should have the upper hand over Switzerland.

Denmark were one of the best teams during the qualifying campaign for the Euros as they finished top of their group. Their dominant displays led them to seven victories and a draw in 10 matches during the qualifiers.

One of the defeats for Denmark was a 2-0 loss to Northern Ireland in an inconsequential final group fixture. Kasper Hjulmand’s side had picked up five straight victories prior to that result and will be keen to get back to winning ways.

One of the most impressive things about Denmark in recent times is their home record having won their last five matches in front of their fans. However, they have failed to keep a clean sheet in the last two fixtures in that run.

Switzerland are also heading to the Euros after finishing second in their group behind Romania. However, their recent form has been a bit troubling as they are winless in their last four matches across all competitions.

The Swiss have been plagued by too many draws lately having been held three times in their last four matches. Murat Yakin’s men travel to Parken Stadium off the back a 1-0 to Romania in their previous fixture.

That result in Romania ended a run of four away matches without defeat for Switzerland. However, they had only picked up two wins in that run with the other two matches ending in draws.

How the bookies view it

Denmark are the favourites among the bookies with Coral offering 11/10 for a home win. A victory for Switzerland is valued at 11/4 by bet365 while a draw is set at odds of 49/20 by Unibet.

Head to head

Denmark have a 2-1 advantage with three draws from six previous matches against Switzerland. The last meeting between both sides was a Euro 2020 qualifier which ended 1-0 in favour of the Danes.

Players to watch

Rasmus Hojlund often impresses for Denmark and is making a timely return from injury. The striker has seven goals in his last eight appearances for the national team and is priced at 21/10 by bet365 to get on the score sheet once again.

Zeki Amdouni has been a shining light in a rather gloomy environment in Burnley. He was also Switzerland's top scorer in the qualifiers with six goals and could be backed to score anytime at 7/2 with Paddy Power.

Anything else catches the eye?

There is attacking quality on both sides and they could be backed to score at 23/25 with Unibet. Denmark have seen over 3.5 goals in three of their last five home matches and a repeat is priced at 3/1 with Betfred while over 2.5 goals is valued at 23/20 by bet365.

Denmark have scored in both halves in four of their last five home matches and a similar pattern is priced at 5/2 by Paddy Power.
