TWO teams with very little to play for go toe-to-toe at Turf Moor on the final Sunday of the Premier League season as Burnley play host to Brighton.

Sean Dyche, having delivered a commendable fifth-successive season of top-flight football at Turf Moor, continues to work wonders with the Lancashire side who will be targeting a top-eight finish.

The Clarets come into the final round of fixtures as one of the most in-form teams in the Premier League having lost just one of their last 15 top-flight tussles.

Last time out Burnley bagged a club-record 15th Premier League win of the season when making light work of lowly nine-man Norwich at Carrow Road.

Burnley's final assignment of the season will see them come up against Brighton outfit who secured Premier League safety on Monday night when playing out a dour 0-0 draw at home to Newcastle.

Graham Potter's possession-based style of play has earned the Seagulls plenty of plaudits this season and the Brighton boss will consider Premier League survival as a successful first season in the Amex hot-seat.

Outright Betting

Burnley have avoided defeat in each of their last six Premier League matches at Turf Moor and home win on Sunday is trading at 11/8 with Betfred.

Brighton are unbeaten in six away games and a Seagulls success on Sunday can be backed at 11/5 with Betway while the draw is priced up at 12/5 with the same bookmaker.

Betting Angles

The final of the day of the season is notorious for throwing up goal-heavy games, however, I suspect a low-scoring affair could be in store at Turf Moor on Sunday.

Nine of the Clarets last 10 top-flight tussles have produced under 2.5 goals and each of Burnley's last seven Premier League matches have featured less than three strikes.

What's more, goals have been in short supply during Brighton's recent road trips with each of their last five away games generating no more than two goals.

Last time out our man Kevin Mac called it spot on in his match preview as the Seagulls played out a bore 0-0 draw with Newcastle – an outcome that saw both of his recommended bets land.

With that in mind value could lie with the 19/20 on offer with BetVictor for there to be under 2.5 goals at Turf Moor on Sunday – a betting angle that would have banked profit in five of the last six fixtures at this venue.

It's also worth noting 14 of the last 17 meetings between Burnley and Brighton have produced under 2.5 goals – all of which adds to the appeal of siding with a repeat on Sunday.

In considering who will come out on top at Turf Moor this looks like a tricky fixture to tackle from a betting perspective but if pushed I would back Burnley to end what has been a brilliant campaign with a positive result.

Indeed, a home win for Dyche and Co takes appeal at 11/8 with Betfred, however, I'm going to opt for an alternative angle by combining Burnley double chance alongside under four match goals at 5/6 with Bet 365 – a combination that has clicked in 14 of the Clarets last 15 Premier League matches.

This match between Burnley and Brighton will be played on Jul 26, 2020 and kick off at 16:00. Check below for our tipsters best Burnley vs Brighton prediction. You may also visit our dedicated betting previews section for the most up to date previews.
