ARSENAL end a season that promised to be history-making, but eventually dissolved into disappointment on Sunday with a dead-rubber against Wolves at the Emirates.
From the moment, they crumbled at the Etihad and Manchester City hammered them 4-1 last month, the title dream really fell apart and they've staggered to the end of the season.
They've won just two of their last eight league games and lost three of them. They have ran out of gas at the end of a long season. Last week's defeat at Nottingham Forest saw Manchester City officially crowned champions.
But it would be churlish not to loook at the long-term picture and accept that Arsenal have enjoyed a tremendous campaign and have over-achieved.
