BARCELONA have dipped below their usual high standards this season but victory at home to Dortmund will send them through to the Champions League knockout phase with a game to spare.

They sit a point ahead of the Germans in Group C and can't afford another lacklustre showing like the 0-0 draw at home to Slavia Prague last time out.

That was the only home match Barca have failed to win this season, while on the road they've been far less convincing, taking just 10 points from 21 in La Liga and being held 0-0 away to Dortmund.

Despite those setbacks, the Catalan giants remain top of La Liga and their Nou Camp dominance should be enough to see off a flaky Dortmund outfit.

After a 4-0 Bundesliga loss at Bayern Munich, Dortmund fell 3-0 down at home to minnows Paderborn on Friday night and even the fightback to rescue a draw did little to ease the pressure on manager Lucien Favre.

His side now languish sixth in the league and their away form is a real weak point, with their only win in seven coming with a slender Champions League success at Slavia Prague.

Their qualification hopes won't be killed off by defeat at the Nou Camp though. As long as the Germans win their final group game at home to Slavia, Inter Milan would need to beat Barca at the San Siro to pip them.

Back to the here and now, it's hard to see past a Barca win. It just just 8-15 though, so go for a home victory and over 1.5 goals, with Valverde's men having netted 2+ in seven of eight at the Nou Camp.

The hosts continue to rely heavily on Lionel Messi, who has nine goals from his 12 appearances in an injury-interrupted campaign. With the little Argentine genius also Barca's penalty taker, go for a home win with Messi scoring at 11-10 with Paddy Power.

And even though the Catalans having a depleted defence – Gerard Pique is suspended and first-choice full-backs Jordi Alba and Nelson Semedo injured – the fact Dortmund have failed to score in three successive away games makes me wary of the 8-13 for both teams to score.

Instead, consider a bet365 bet builder featuring at least two match goals, three match cards and over two corners for each team.
